I see why they get such good reviews. Years ago I fixed rollup door myself, could have gotten killed if spring had suddenly unwound under tension. Problem this time -- object got stuck in roller track, caused cable on other side to come off. Called OHDC at 10 am, scheduled for mid-afternoon, tech called 15 minutes before arrival. "Bill" knew just what to do, but had to get around shelves and equipment (Air-compresser reel). No complaints or griping, went right to work. Since he knew what to do, it was re-wound in about 10 minutes. Then he adjusted both springs so door could be lifted with one hand (BETTER THAN NEW) and sparyed / oiled everthing. Did not propose replaceing metal rollers w plasic, which would have been un-necessary, which I appreciated. I thought price reasonable for the difficulty i.e. "danger", and expertise..

Showed up when promised. Tech was definitely a profesional and knew what he was doing.

The garage door was built right on sight. I could watch the process and saw what exactly was done for hurricane protection. The gentleman was extremely professional and efficient. I was amazed it was installed by one person.

Called to get our two-year old garage door serviced, as it just wasn't running smoothly or quietly. They were able to come out the following day, called to confirm before they came, and arrived on time. They quickly determined the rollers needed replacing, and the job only took about twenty minutes to complete. Very pleasant technician took the time to show us how to take care of the door to keep it in good working order.

Our garage door wouldn't close because the lift cables had slipped off the rollers. I called at 8:15 this morning and was told a technician would be out by noon to take care of the problem. I got a call around 10:15 that Bob would arrive in the next 30 minutes which he did. He quickly assessed the problem and explained clearly what needed to be done. He only needed about 15 minutes to do the actual work. Then he showed me how to lubricate the rollers, hinges and spring and told me that it needed to be done every 6 months to keep everything working well. He left me a large can of spray lubricant for that purpose. As a bonus, he helped me with the door opener by shortening the antenna. It was too long and confused the signal-who knew! the job was completed by 11:15.

There was some confusion at first over the initial visit to provide the quote. This was because that was initially scheduled over the Thanksgiving holiday and the individual salesman was out of town when the message was sent to him. That was worked out. The gentleman that came to install the door was very professional, good at his job, and a pleasure to have. Very positive experience.

I was extremely pleased with the professionalism and promptness. He even showed me areas on the door that I could keep lubricated with WD-40 or other lubricants to keep it rolling up smoothly. He mentioned that the door was very old and not to code but that it seemed to be in pretty good working order. That if in the future if I even want to upgrade to a hurricane rated door that they have that and will find the very best door at the best price for my needs. I really appreciated his information and that he didn't do some high pressure sales tactic to get me to upgrade. When I do decide to go with a new door I will definitely call Overhead Door of Clearwater.

After receiving quotes from some different companies, I negotiated a price for a new foam filled door with windows, and scheduled the installation. Their scheduler called and moved the appointment up to earlier, then their sales manager called 1st thing in the morning to advise of missing parts. So it was rescheduled for 2 weeks later. At which time they still didn't have the parts. The sales person did not provide the correct information as to the CORRECT lead time to get the panel needed. So the sale manager offered a little more off the price, and we rescheduled a week later. This was very frustrating. Actual installation went very well. One guy showed up and handled everything himself, nice guy, did nice work with the installation. Had everything done fairly quickly. I would use them again, but wish their sales people would provide correct information, save everyone some frustration.

We had an emergency issue with our garage door, at 8:10pm it came off the track and wouldn't close. We called Overhead Doors of Clearwater at 8:10pm, was connected to the dispatcher, explained our problem. In 15 minutes a service rep called, confirmed our address and was at our house 45 minutes later, sooner than quoted. In 20 minutes the garage door was fixed, and we swiped our credit card and the rep was on his way home.

The experience overall from beginning to end was excellent, and we felt that, for the parts and services provided, the price was very fair. We will definitely use them again.

Fortunately the spring broke while I was away so this was not an emergency. Called Overhead and scheduled a time that was convenient for me to attend. They showed up within a few minutes of the scheduled time. It took about an hour to get it all replaced which I thought was good. Was overall pleased with the service and would definitely hire again. Only B rating was on price as I felt the price was average for companies I spoke with..nothing special either way on that.

They were right on time. They did have to come back to put in the weather stripping due to the wrong one sent. But they were right out to take care of that two days later. I had a small problem with the opener the following Monday, called them and they had someone out withing two hours. Was very impressed on the fast response to a minor problem. I had a hard time to decide what color I wanted so I went online to their web site and they had a program you could download a picture of your door and put the new one in and the color you want and it was a big help because it made me decide to go with the trim color of my house and it really make my house now stand out.

They were fantastic. Their turnaround was unbelievable. They were very courteous and called and let me know when they would be out. They were thorough and knowledgeable. They were reliable and didn't gouge me.

I was very happy with them. I was complaining about my computer and the guy who came helped me with that as well. I am very happy with them. I had a good experience with them. I certainly would consider them for an estimate in the future. The guy even followed up to make sure everything was going fine.

Excellent work, although dealing with the salesman and office staff was a challenge. It was a reasonable price and very good workmanship. However their office staff is not very responsive.

Called to schedule an appointment; company indicated that it would be in the afternoon, but technician would call ahead of time. He called and about 20 min later he arrived, approx. 11 am. Technician was knowledgeable and diagnosed the problem right away. He had the appropriate parts and tools on his truck, so the job was done quickly and efficiently.

Requested a quote via e-mail from this company and never got so much as a call or e-mail back. I'm trying to budget and plan some remodeling of my home and can't do so unless I get quotes for the jobs I want done so that I can prioritize.

Both my garage door opener and door were in need of replacement. I was very pleased with the infomation I received as well as being kept informed of appointment time schedules. My technician was very thorough and knowledgeable. The quality of the work was excellent. My door passed inspection easily. I would highly recommend Overhead Door of Clearwater.

On my initial call, I explained what I was looking for. We talked about options and was able to get a quote immediately. I called on Monday and they scheduled the appt for Wed. On Wed, the installer came out and removed the old garage door opener and installed the new one. He made sure I understood what was going on. He did try to sell me a more expensive opener but I think that was because he realized our garage was right underneath the main part of the house. He explained that a different kind would be quieter. After he installed everything, he programmed my cars remotes, and walked me through setting up the keypad. He made sure everything was cleaned up before leaving and made sure I was happy with everyhing. I was very happy with the process.

About 9pm the night before one of the springs broke as the door was closing, trapping 2 vehicles in the garage. I called the company at 8am the following morning to schedule an appointment. Once they found out that my vehicles were trapped they made the service call a priority and their Service Manager - Damon was at the house an hour and a half later. Damon was professional in appearance and got right to work. He suggested that I should replace both springs and for the small difference in price it seemed logical. It took about 45 minutes to do the job. He fixed another small problem with the door at no extra cost and with a coupon on their website I think the price was reasonable. Because of their quick response I was able to make it to work for a half a day. I would use this company again.
