Everything was excellent. Their response was excellent. They were totally upfront with what it was going to cost and we did a comparison. They were timely with regards to getting the water heater installed. Everything was more than satisfactory. I would absolutely use them again in the future if necessary.

They were Johnny on the spot and in our home for weeks working on our bathroom. I was so impressed. They did a great job. They cleaned up so well. Every single day, the mess was contained as well as it could be. The workers were so nice, especially the tileman, Greg. They were all so pleasant to work with. If I had to call Midway, BAM - they called me back ASAP. The foreman/supervisor was very responsive. The last day they were there, I couldn't figure out how to use the new faucet. I called and spoke to the foreman, and within 10 minutes, there was someone at our door, showing me how it worked.

They were very responsive when we called; this was the second time we have called them for a job at our home. The tech came out quickly and worked efficiently. The tech was only there about 20 minutes; that included diagnosis and repair. They sent one tech who was very knowledgeable. They are now on my speed dial!

We have had a service contract with them for 3 years. The only thing they did is check the units and change filters. They continue to tell us the air is working just fine along with both units. However, less than 60 days ago, they again were out to fix and service the unit. Once again, the air is not working and we did not renew the service contract. They have never fixed it properly, send the same guy each time which I don't believe knows what he is doing, and once again, our inside heating is 83 and it is not running. Save your money and find someone who actually knows heating and air.

Midway Services did a gut-and-rebuild on our kitchen, which needed both upgrading and modernizing. I couldn?t be happier with the job they did. Rather than working from a showroom, Midway hooked us up with ProSource,a major wholesaler, to choose tiles and cabinets; an outstanding stoneyard to choose granite for the counter tops; Famous Tate for appliances. ProSource also provided the scale drawings for the cabinetry. The entire job was supervised by Rick Devers, Renovation Manager, who was totally accessible, prompt in responding to e-mails and questions, and tremendous at pulling together the various pieces into a tightly-scheduled demo and installation, and, despite a heavy schedule, stopped by almost every day, as if we were his only clients. Midway?s in-house craftsmen (carpenter,plumber, electrician) were skillful, hardworking, and did thorough clean-upeach night, even installing a temporary counter and sink while the granite was fabricated. They were also flexible indealing with mistakes made in an earlier renovation (misplaced water and electrical lines), not discovered until mid-project and made great finishing suggestions to the detail work. The cabinets look almost like built-in furniture. Overall, the project entailed new floor tiling and underlayment, tiled backsplash, new cabinets, new granite countertop, all appliance installation and finishing. As I said at the outset, I couldn?t be happier with the results.

No problem with installation - some exterior construction neded repair. I was advised the cost of a visit is $39.95 regardless of a 10 year warranty.

Everything about MS Services is professional. We had some work done by another Heating & AC Company (Bayside) that has exceptional ratings from Angie's List, but because they charged us over $1200 to install what amounted to was a UV Light, we suspected that Bayside Heating & AC had cheated us. So, we did not tell the MS technician why we wanted him to look at our air handler, as to try and get an honest, unbiased opinion from a professional. MS Services was very responsive and was able to send someone out the same day we called. The tech arrived on-time and was dressed professionally and was courteous. He went up to our attic and opened the Air Handler. I asked him how it looked. After he examined it, he said it was clean, functioning properly, and he could not find anything wrong with it. I then asked him if he saw any mold. He said there was no mold. I then pointed out to him what Bayside Heating & AC had showed me the previous day was mold. He said it was not mold or other bacterial material, but rather corrosion or something non-bacterial. I then asked him about the UV light that Bayside installed for $1,260. He appeared surprised and shocked we were charged so much for the UV light. He said our system was clean and did not need the UV light, but if we did want one, we would require two lights in the system for it to work effectively, and he explained why. After completing the inspection, I asked to meet with him to go over what his company would charge to install a UV lighting system, and get other written estimates. He wrote a legible, concise description of what he saw, and what he would recommend. He said if we wanted to prevent bacterial growth, a whole home air filtration system would be better than a UV system. His written estimate for that was $695. If I wanted a UV system, his estimate was $425. Since this was $835 less than the system that Bayside installed, we discussed why. He stated that Bayside's techs operate on commission, so the more they sell, the more they make. He stated MS Services does not operate on a commission basis, therefore there is no incentive to sell people things they might not need. He went on to say he is well compensated by MS Services, and does not need to up-sell customers. He was careful & professional not to speak badly about Bayside, but was fully aware of how they operate. He then discussed services and prices for a maintenance plan, UV system, and Whole Home air filtration. He said the filters I was using were very good and would keep dirt out of my system, as bacterial material needs water, dirt, and a warm climate to grow in. He did NOT try to sell me ANYTHING. He left materials to read over, and was honest enough to tell us they (MS) were not the most inexpensive company, but they do quality work at a fair price. Before he left, I asked him does MS Services make a profit off the $425 it would charge me for the similar UV system Bayside installed....He said of course. I was left with the impression we had been ripped off by Bayside...pretty excessively. There is no doubt I would use MS Services for my Heating & AC needs in the future. This IS a professional, honest company. Needless to say, the next thing I did was contact Bayside and arrange to get their ultra-expensive UV light out of my home ASAP.

Working with contractors can be challenging. Service Experts made the project go as smooth as silk. They kept me informed every step of the way and everyone was courteous and professional from the salesperson to the installation techs. I highly recommend Service Experts! By the way, the new solar AC cut my electric bill by $200!

Plumbing wise we had a water pressure problem in the second bathroom. The plumber examined the problem, found a stem needed to be replaced and he replaced the part. It did not correct the problem and he suggested a much more expensive diagnostic procedure but could not guarantee any results. The work he had done was expensive enough. Air Conditioning examination went well with a clean bill of health, however, they annually continue to suggest we install ultra violet lighting in the ductwork. The cost is extreme, we have two 3 ton units and handlers. The light is to reduce the chance of mold buildup. The estimate was mind bogling and we look .for other providers, if necessary at all. What electrical work we have had done was very good, but expensive. We have jobbed the work out to other qualified electrical contractors. We wanted to secure a water treatment unit for hard water. I called and left a voice message for Mr. Wolf and never heard back. We are still looking into this service. I have used Midway Services over the years and find they usually get the job done, however they are expensive. Their service people are polite and professional.

Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning came out and insisted that we needed a new condenser and they charged us over $4,000 for it. It turned out I was overcharged for it. 2 years later, because they did not advise me differently, I had to replace the whole thing again, including the air handler. They have to match, size-wise and capacity-wise. If I was going to replace one I had to replace the other. Then they also gave me a quote for replacing the entire system for $12,000 and I got it replaced for $6,000. I think they were dishonest. They were more interested in selling new than doing the repair. It was only a year later and we had rust on the outside portion. There are the slats pointing down so that air doesn't go up through it and they were rusting. So I got rid of it. The one I have now is 2 1/2 years old and there's no rust at all. They were professional at the time, but when I found out it was only $6,000 to replace the whole thing I feel I was taken for a ride.

They did an excellent job. They did a good job on the leak. Their people were courteous. It was done a few days ahead of schedule. I am still getting compliments from my neighbors on how nice it looks. They did very well on cleanup. They considered my needs. They put bars on the shower so I don't slip. They will come back to fix anything. It is a good company and they had very reasonable rates. They were a lot cheaper than a lot of other companies to fix something. I saved $40 the other day when they came out.

Called Midway Services for an issue with irrigation pump as they were closest to my property. They demanded and I paid $40.00 for visiting the property and checking on the issue. Note that no other provider in that area demands this. The plumber came and checked the pump. I was not available at the property and hence we had telephone conversation. He was very cordial. He checked the pump and said it is beyond repair and would need a replacement and gave me an instant quote. We talked about couple of options and I decided on sealing the pump and run reclaimed water from city. For laying the pipe for the reclaimed water the plumber gave a quote for $1200.00 and in case I wanted to replace the pump he gave a quote for $1300.00. I thought the price was too high and got his manager's number and called him, His manager also repeated the same. I asked him is he serious on giving me a price of $1300.00 for laying a 40 feet pvc pipe, he answered in the affirmative and went on a big sales talk on their work and the company being insured and bonded and how other service providers are charlatans. I thought his talk was very unprofessional. After this I started looking around for other quotes as I strongly felt running a 40 feet pvc pipe should not cost $1200 + tax + city connection fees ($1500). I had a well expert and three plumbing companies visit the property (NO VISITING CHARGES). All of them gave a quote under $500.00 for laying the pipe. Finally selected a company to remove the irrigation pump and install reclaimed water line. Paid only $350.00 and got new pipe laid, and passed city inspection. In addition to that the plumber repaired broken sprinklers. I only paid material cost. By the way the well pump expert gave me a quote for $950.00 to replace the pump and repair sprinklers including tax. Lost $40.00 to Midway and gained nothing. Check other companies before you commit to Midway Services.. Way too expensive.

From beginning to end, the work was phenomenal. The head contractor, Donald Wolf, did everything possible to help configure the space to give us everything we needed -- visiting several times to go over the blueprints and to give helpful suggestions, most of which we accepted. All the workmen were completely reliable, staying extra hours to make sure work was done in time for the next session. And the end result was beautiful, precise, and exactly what we wanted. I cannot say enough good things about the character of the workers and supervisors. All were exceptionally pleasant, had excellent work ethics, and a desire to do their best. We have used Midway for years and they've always been trustworthy, but this is the first time they did actual construction. Midway Services is highly recommended!!

Quick and easy scheduling was accomplished on the first call and they had access to our records and knew what parts had been installed in the past. At the service call, they provide an estimate and work with us to come up with the best pricing available. We elected at this visit to join their annual program ($79) which included inspection of our entire plumbing system and deeper discount pricing. The call was split since Moen was able to send us the faucet under warranty. The power flush unit replacement cost $350 including the Sloan Flushmate and all labor. The kitchen faucet install was $240. The technician for these calls was Paul (we specifically requested him for the 2nd call). It is great to see expertise and excellent workmanship. Also, each time, he left the place cleaner than when he arrived! We have used this outfit for years, wouldn't call anyone else, and recommend them highly.

They were on time and did a real good job. They were very efficient and asked if everything was alright after they did the work. They were here on time and cleaned up well.

I called this company out to look at my A/C compressor because it was not turning on. It was a weekend and they were very promt at returning my call and scheduling a technician to come out. The next morning the tech came out and was on time. When the tech arrived he diagnosed the problem as my capacitor and told me he had the part to fix it then went right to work at replacing it. I had this same part replaced by them the previous year for 230.00 so I did not stop him as I figured the price would be close to that. It took him all of 10 minutes to replace the part and we went inside to settle the bill. He then tells me that the price will be 430.00 dollars!! I explain to him that my brother just paid 180.00 the week before from his company and he gives me all these reasons why his repair was probably cheaper... Since the part was already in I felt obligated to pay, so I did. Once he left I called my brother and explained what had happened and asked what the part number was that he has replaced and it was the same as mine. So why was I charged 200.00 more than him for the same part and repair??? He called the company and after a little bit of debate they agreed to return 200.00 dollars of my money...of course now I am waiting for it to actually come! So all in all there service is quick but you will pay a premium for it.... I did finally recieve my refund for 150.00 dollars, three weeks after the service date.

They came out several times but we decided not to go with them anymore because every time they came out whatever they fixed was only fixed for about a month and then they had to come out again. They never really fixed the problem. When something got screwed up, the last person didn't work there anymore and they wouldn't fix it for a lesser fee. They are very expensive. They charge $127 an hour. It was almost $150 every time they came out. They were expensive and never fully fixed the problem. We would absolutely not use them again.

The Midway Electrician gave me 2 quotes with different boxes, GFI, ect.... one was for $1550 and the other was $1820...then I got a $140 discount if I join their club... I thought this was high right from the start just to run 1 line. The electrician did a wonderful job trying to convince me how expensive all the new line was and how great of a job they would do. I had a hard time getting a couple more estimates because everyone is so busy. I got one for the same work and material for $875. I had another guy give me a quote over the phone for $575 without even looking at the job. I thought that was a little low. I have no doubt that Midway would have done and excellent job, and if I was strapped for time I might have used them, but it felt like I was getting a little bit of a water bid. I live off the inter coastal and some people up there bids a little.

They did a great job. They were honest about the length of time this would take. They were courteous and prompt. They gave me a 2 year warranty where most companies only give you one. They were also very clean and made sure they didn't damage anything by putting permanent protection on my floors before they were doing the work. When they had to move the fridge they even put down more protection so it would not ruin my floors.

When we purchased two of the amazing new Nest thermostats, the manufacturer arranged for their installation by Service Experts, a company with which we were unfamiliar. But since the installation was to be free, we went along with it. A phone call to Service Experts to arrange the installation was very frustrating, because the scheduler had no clue what Nest was or, seemingly, how to arrange the installation. She kept saying we had to phone a particular number – which we did, and she answered the phone! This happened twice, with the receptionist/scheduler insisting we call that number. Exasperated, we emailed Nest and complained that Service Experts was incompetent. Nest advised trying again, and must have contacted Service Experts in the interim, because the third time the AC company scheduled an installation. This is the good part. The installer was on time, efficient and, though new to the Nest technology, capable. He completed the installations, tested the thermostats, gave us a quick demo, and left after about two hours – at no charge to us. When we bought a third Nest, I assumed I could install it, having watched installation of the first two. But I discovered that the third AC unit was a heat pump, and I was baffled as to how to install the Nest, or whether the third system was compatible. I emailed a photo of the innards of the existing thermostat to Nest, which said that the new thermostat could be made compatible. So I contacted Service Experts on their website and filled out a form requesting that the installation be a few days later. The website said I would receive an email to confirm the appointment, or change it. Instead, a Service Experts scheduler phoned a day later. It may have been the same person who had no clue months earlier, because she wanted to schedule an appointment that day, not the date I had requested. When I reiterated the day I wanted service, she said she could only schedule 24 hours ahead. Well, I insisted, I want service on a day 48 hours later. She put me on hold for several minutes and eventually scheduled the service on the day I wanted. Had it not been for the incompetence or obliviousness of the scheduler, the score would have been higher, because once again the technician was on time, efficient and, despite the added complexity of the heat pump, capable. Once more there was no charge to us. The installer said the work would be billed to Nest. If you want a great thermostat that can be programmed from anywhere by iPhone, check out Nest.

I’ve used them for years. They got here, did the job and left. It was about what my son paid for his water heater. I would recommend them to others for their services and use them again in the future. I don’t have an idea about the price. The quality was fine. They told me that they’ll be here within and hour and they were here in 2 hours. They gave me a time and it was an hour later than the time that they gave me, but it was not a big deal. Their professionalism was good.

They fixed it, but the problem has returned. I really wasn’t very happy with them and I felt that they quite a bit of money for something that took a matter of few moments to be fixed. It was really a simple process to tape the pipe and it cost more than it should have and constantly I have to call them back. I would not recommend them to others. The punctuality was good.
