We have a service contract with Midway to perform maintenance twice a year on the HVAC system in our second home. Tech came out for fall/winter maintenance and explained that the compressor capacitor was lower than rated and recommended we replace the capacitor. The system was still under warranty and he quoted a price of $166 (standard price $185 - 10% because we had a service contract) to replace the capacitor. I had no problem with the tech as he had performed a repair a few months earlier and we were satisfied with his work and the price. He explained the capacitor problem and showed me the meter. I asked him what the cost would be he said he would calculate it and let me know. When he told me about the capacitor he had the access panel open and should have replaced the capacitor while he was performing maintenance at a much lower cost than he later quoted. I don't fault the tech as he was following procedure. Well, he put everything back together, went to his truck and came up with the $166 quote. This was all labor since the part was under warranty. I talked to one of the managers at Midway the next day and told him I was dissatisfied with the capacitor replacement cost and why. He said the owner sets the prices and procedures and that he would talk to him. I have not heard back from anyone at Midway. Contrast this to Senica who performs the HVAC maintenance on our primary home. The tech had come out a month earlier to our other home and found the same type of problem, a failing compressor capacitor. He quoted me a price of $144 for the capacitor (which was not under warranty) and labor. We gave him the OK to replace the capacitor while he had the panel open. We will be switching our HVAC service to Senica for our second home.

Paid 410$ in advance for toilet removal, leak detection (digging the wall) and reset. After toilet removal (10 minutes work!) it turned out that no furthers work will be required. Now almost 2 month and many phone calls later - still got no final bill and (partial) refund. They always promise to call back and nothing happens. Stay away from this company. They are not playing fair.

The technician was excellent and got the job done quickly. There was no hassle and he did good work.

They called me right back and the AC tech was out that same morning. Jason was professional and knowledgeable. I then set up maintainence d/t this experience

I used Midway because I needed work done on my home that required a plumber and electrician to work together and I thought coordinating them would be easier - it was. David, the plumber, was the best. Not only extremely knowledgeable, but a great guy also. The same can be said about Joe the electrician. Midway is a little more expensive than some other companies, but their customer service makes up for it in my opinion. They always answer the phone and seem sincere in trying to keep a happy customer.

It went well. They had a variety of units to choose from but I was looking for a specific one. The salesman was knowledgeable, down to earth, and honest. The service techs were awesome and had the job done in two days.

They are very prompt, They are very thorough. They are just a little pricey. He spent quite a bit of time unclogging the line and then he had to put a new part in. Their services are great, I would give them an A.

The bathroom remodels are not going well, from the start during demolition there was a lack of effort to put up cover to keep the dust from going throughout the house or to clean up after themselves. As the demolition wrapped up and we got into prepping the area things went fairly smoothly until we got to the part where we were getting the tile laid. Midways services seems to overcommit on contracts and in order to help fill the need they subcontract out a lot of their work. Their tile subcontractor was horrible and very inexperienced, I do not pin this on him but on Midway for not providing the appropriate guidance to him on the project. He spent over 8 days laying tile averaging 16 sq feet a day. It was unacceptable since we have about 480 sq feet of tile to be laid so we contacted Midway to express our disappointment and met with several leaders from the company. One in particular kept making excuses for the lack of quality of the tile and the speed, rather than just owning up to throwing someone who should never been on the contract in the first place as their primary person. Our visit consisted of a lot of promises which we are still waiting to see if they come to fruition. At this point we are still waiting for the work to be completed but are considering other options since we are extremely disappointed in the work and timeliness of Midway. I will update this review based on the outcome of the remodel.

They had to use a snake to clear a blockage in the toilet. They did a great job.

I would definitely recommend them. They did a good job all the way through.

Excellent work by Maintenance Technician Sedrick. First of all I was called and informed when the Technician would arrive. He put on booties to protect my home which is important. He cleaned the drain lines and replaced all filters. Checked batteries in thermostat, checked all electrical connections. Did a very through job on my systems. Very happy with the knowledge and professional care by Service Experts and the Technician. Will definitely recommend to my other friends.

Prepaid service contract, did not catch any problems. All they did was show up and replace filters. Many repeat trips to fix problems that were never fixed. On last date failed to show up at all, since the call was prepaid. Very nonresponsive when they have your money. AVOID a service contract at all costs. Constantly overbooked. Corporate office is actually not located in Gainesville, and very unprofessional and do not provide good customer service when prepaid. Actually never were able to fix any significant issues. Services reps are very poorly trained.

They arrived early that morning and the technician was excellent! He figured out the problem quickly and remediated the issue efficiently. He was even able to repair the plug that caused the damage.

They had totally replaced a toilet about 21 months ago. The internal power flush unit recently developed a problem and I called and they were there about 1 or two days later, diagnosed the problem, obtained the part the next day and installed it. I was very impressed as to how well they honored the warranty- there was no charge for either of these two service calls, the part, or the labor.

Requested a free estimate, scheduled multiple times for the same week. There was an excuse every time for each cancellation and rescheduled. Finally he arrived spent a few minutes assessing the situation ( issue w exterior fan to interior switch), estimate $308.

We have used them for two bathroom renovations. There were some delays while working with them. The service was ok but I had hoped for better quality and even had to have some things redone due to the quality.

Less unsatisfactory. Sending different technicians every time, and inconsistency and bad relationship with the staff personal. Overall experience, I will give them a D.

Like clockwork, have absolutely no complaints. Professional, responsive and a pleasure to work with, Rick Devers and his crew are the best!

The vehicles are marked nicely and the employees wear uniforms and seem all knowledgeable and honest

Midway Services were on time. They did the work and we were satisfied. Sure, I would use them again.

I called Midway on Monday morning because my tankless water heater had quit working. They led me to believe they would be sending out a repairman (with possible replacement unit on truck) that afternoon. Instead, they sent a salesman (Bill B) who tried to sell me new water valves, a water softener system, and (eventually) a new tankless water heater. I had to insist that he give me a repair price, so he gave me a repair price that was nearly as much as the replacement price for the least expensive model. The price for the unit was quoted at 105/month for 60 months. I asked how much it was, not how much the payments were, and he said $3795 (inclusive) but that the monthly rate was interest free. I had to point out that $105 * 60 = $6300 and didn't sound interest-free to me. He insisted it was interest free. (Later he said perhaps he meant 36 months) I wanted to get reviews online for the model he suggested, and he kept avoiding the question of the model. "tt's a Steibel" "Which one?" "A Steibel-B" "All of these online have numbers -- which one?" "We just call it a B" "I need the number" (Eventually the number turned out to be twelve, and I had to insist he put the model # on the written estimate. There is a reason they were reluctant. I am installing the same model for $1275 with another provider, saving more than $2500.00. (FAST of FL). To top it off, he called the next day and asked which option I was taking. I told him I was going with another company and he very snarkily said "well thanks for calling then." I also paid a $39.00 service call for this privilege.

That ended up being a huge project and part of it was perfect and couldn’t have been any better. There were two technicians and Steve was fantastic. We were practically best friends by the end of it. He sort of did the project management for the plumbing and the digging up of the floor. Their design group took over when they had to replace all the flooring and the tile and everything. It was from the back of the house to the front of the house, and it was like a heart bypass. We had to bypass the chimney which sat in the middle of the floor. So, they had to dig up everything all around, from the bedroom areas through the great room to the kitchen and outside. They had not done a job like that before but they did a real good job on the plumbing piece of it. We ended up having to complain to the company to get the rest of the job done properly. It was just silly because, after Steve and his guys had done about ninety nine and nine-tenths percent of the jobs, there was one fellow who just didn’t want finish his piece. Overall, the rooms seem to be more beautiful now. They have done a great job. In fact, we just bought a brand new HVAC system from them. We will definitely do business with them again. They dug a two and a half foot trench through the house and repaired it. I think the price was fair.

I had received a very large water bill. After speaking with the water company it was determined that there was a leak between the meter and the house which was about 40 feet distance. I called Midway and they sent someone out to look for the leak. They walked the length of the pipe to the house along the property line and could not find the leak. So they said a company with a sonar would have to come out to the tune of $450 (but they would give it to me for $385). The next day the sonar company comes out. The technician walks the length of the pipe. About about 10 minutes later he comes back and shows me where the leak was (under the box that holds the garden hose). He had dug down with his bare hands, no sonar needed. The leak was from the sprinkler irrigation pipe where it makes a right angle. So Midway comes out the next day to repair the pipe and they want $450 for the repair of a sprinkler pipe. (Recently I had had my system services and sprinkler heads and piping moved for $200). Of course I was really upset as there was no need for the sonar company and $450 to replace a $2.00 pipe which took less than 2 hrs was a little pricey. They finally agreed to do it for $250, with the grand total of $635 for a leaking sprinkler pipe. I have used this company for many years for other services like air conditioning. I won't use them again

I CALLED TO REPLACE EXISTING GARBAGE DISPOSAL. I WAS GIVEN A TIME OF ARRIVAL BETWEEN 1 & 4. TECHNICHAN DID NOT ARRIVE UNTIL 5:15. I HAD TO MAKE TWO CALLS TO LOCATE HIM. I DID NOT RECEIVE ANY CALLBACKS. I STARTED TO MAKE ANOTHER CALL TO CANCEL, WHEN THE TECH. SHOWED UP. I EXPLAINED THE PROBLEM AND HE WENT OUT TO THE TRUCK TO WRITE UP SOME QUOTES. TO GET THE GARBAGE DISPOSAL WORKING IT WAS $187.50. TO INSTALL A NEW ONE, THE SAME AS WHAT I HAD 1/4 H.P. IT WOULD BE $550.00. IF I WANTED A 1/2 H.P. STAINLESS STEEL IT WOULD BE $700.00. I WENT FOR THE $550.00 CHARGE. THE NEXT DAY I CHECKED WITH HOME DEPOT, AND THE SAME GARBAGE DISPOSAL THAT MIDWAY SERVICES INSTALLED COSTS ONLY $89.00 SO I WAS CHARGED $550.00 TO INSTALL AN $89.00 GARBAGE DISPOSAL. I CALLED, COMPLAINED AND I WAS REFUNDED $240.00. SO THE $89.00 GARBAGE DISPOSAL COST ME $310.00

I was having a problem with my water heater, it was hissing and leaking water. I thought I lost an element and the top element was boiling the water. A problem I've had before. I turned off the main for the house, still hissing and bubbling. Could not turn main back on, stuck off. It was about 4:00pm so I had to work fast to get somebody to come out. Under the gun. ( my house built in 2001 ) Called Midway because they we're one of the few in the phone book, by flashlight. Wife in panic mode, I called them. Lady on the phone said 39 dollars to come out. ok. Their man arrived about 5PM. prompt, I thought. He diagnosed what I knew, need new main breaker. He didn't have one on his truck, called it in and a runner brought one out, about an hour. Their man installed it quickly and he was nothing but a pro. The problem I have with Midway was the price, 500 dollars for two hours work, after 5pm, 1 hour waiting for part seems steep to me. Home depot and Lowes sell that breaker for 60 -90 dollars. But they had me against the wall. No power. Also quoted me a price for a new water heater, 1350. again, highest side of others I've called.
