Description of Work: The AC blower fan was not working. Mr. Lewis came out and immediately identified a loose wire and fixed it. He's worked on our AC before and got it working quickly. He was highly recommended to me, and I recommend him now. He comes out fast and knows his stuff.

Description of Work: Install new residential 3 ton central air conditioning system, including outdoor compressor and indoor air handler.

Description of Work: Brian came out himself again and fixed another problem left by a previous contractor. He could have simply soldered a leak but he chose to cut out a section of tube and replace it since the previous soldering looked shoddy. Good thing too because there was a metal ring left by another contractor lodged inside the copper tube that was obstructing flow. On his advice my future problems will be less now that I've capped off the reclaimed sprinkler that was causing corrsion.

Description of Work: Water had been flowing from the drip pan on my air conditioner and was flooding my garage. The system is located in a very difficult site for servicing. Lewis came and immediately went to work. Found the problem; cleaned inside and outside drainage pipes; cleaned the drip pan. He explained the problem to us clearly and concisely. I have been pressurred by other companies who advised parts were needed that were not; I have been overcharged and dreaded the expense. The experience was quite pleasant.

Description of Work: Purchased an A/C heavy-duty UV light and installation from the Angie's List email. Called on a Sunday and Brian and wife were in the office. Both were very professional and gave great explanations of what service would entail. Accordingly, I purchased the certificate from AL and scheduled service when Lewis A/C called.

Description of Work: This is the first AC company that I found that I can trust after living in Florida for over 20 years! I had fallen for a low price $50(?) maintenance and cleaning phone solicitation from Graham Heating & Air because other companies were advertising much more to clean air ducts. That soon became a $150 quarterly maintenance contract. I had to call Graham Heating & Air back because I never saw him do any duct cleaning. He came back a week later, sprayed one short shot from an aerosol can into the intake and said it was "sanitized" and that cleaning was different and billable. Before any other maintenance\inspection under the contract, my system broke down. I called Graham to come out under the contract more out of curiosity since I no longer trusted them. The inspector said the air handler was full of oil and claimed I needed a new air handler and quoted over $3,200. He said they were ready to go the next morning. I looked in the handler and saw no oil. I knew the handler was 13 years old and had previously been told by another different AC idiot (another story) that I might have a leak there. That's why I thought I probably needed a new handler. I started calling and got other quotes by phone of less than $1,900. Finally I called Lewis AC & Heating. I told Mr. Lewis i was in a financial crunch but needed a new air handler. I told him I was willing to remove the old handler myself to reduce labor costs since the thing was in the attic. His reply was "Let's look at it first. If it is the handler you might be able to replace the coils rather than buying a new handler." He also had experience in installing a handler in the townhomes that we lived in. He did an inspection and found the problem wasn't even the air handler, it was.a leak in the condenser outside. He did all the work personally. He replaced a rusty accumulator, welded a very difficult to reach leak at the bottom of the condenser, installed a hard starter kit (which explained other problems we had been having; still yet another story from another AC idiot) and recommended directing our reclaimed watering system away from the AC unit because the chemicals in the reclaimed water were eroding the condenser. He also gave me duct tape to better seal the air handler and crafted an extra drain pipe for me to prevent overflow problems onto the ceiling drywall. We thank God we didn't replace the air handler just to discover it was the condenser. I finally found a conscientious, well-experienced, intelligent, and honest AC guy!! He saved me time and big bucks! I recommend Lewis AC wholeheartedly.

Description of Work: Brian came right on time as scheduled. He installed a UV light in my air handler. He sold it through Angies list at a great price. He also inspected my duct work which another local company said would have to be totally replaced. Brian looked at it and figured around 600 dollars could solve my problems. If you want honesty, great service, knowledge, and old school business relationships, the you too will use Lewis Air Conditioning. Thanks again Brian, I will be calling soon.

Description of Work: Installed Ultraviolet light into air handler

Description of Work: Brian came out for my 6 month checkup. I regularly purchase a 3 year contract, so the AC checkup cost me nothing this time. Brian always does a very thorough job of cleaning the unit, checking on the UV light, etc. This time I was due for a new filter (I use one filter in the A/C unit rather than separate filters in each indoor return.)

Description of Work: We needed annual service and maintenance on our A/C unit. We have used Lewis Air for the last 5 years. He cleaned the leaves out of A/C, check for leaks, cleaned the drain line, completed a thorough review of all parts of the unit and air handler, and much more. Offered to check all of our house filters, but I had already replaced all of them.

Description of Work: Ac unit lost power. He found the problem which was a blown fuse. Also found cause of short that caused the fuse to blow.

Description of Work: This was a routine 6 month service call, which includes cleaning the condenser, checking the air handler including the filter and the UV light, checking the overflow drainage to the outside and the indoor thermostat. Since I have a 3 year maintenance contract, purchased in 2008 for $300, the actual maintenance checkup had already been paid but Brian installed a new A/C filter on the unit itself which is a $64 item.
