Cliff was very helpful in explaining the process and possibilities of the pieces we created. He was very patient in helping us find the right granite slab,,, and did an artful and quality job in cutting, edging and polishing the granite, We are very happy with teh result and have a dynamic table top........ Cliff really cared that we got the result we were looking for. We would recommend him to anyone for granite work and we would use him again for a future kitchen project.

I don't think "Exceptional" is enough of a superlative to describe this company. From the onset, every aspect of the process was handled with professionalism, attention to detail and a genuine concern for the satisfaction of the customer. Cliff is an outstanding individual and if you are wise enough to use his services, you will be well rewarded. I waited six months to write this review, just to insure that the installation passed the test of time. In that period we have entertained many times and the compliments we have received for the look and quality of the work were many. We posted pictures on GardenWeb to get suggestions for further renovations and even though there were kitchen renovations and installations costing well upwards of $100,000 we had numerous comments stating that the granite work was the some of the most beautiful people had ever seen. Every aspect of the job was a pleasure. The extra touches that Cliff incorporates, the cleanliness and professionalism of his crew, the time he takes to make certain that every detail is exactly what you want, all were "exceptional". The only caveat I would add is this. Once you have work done by Cliff, your eye will be trained to only expect the best in an installation. You WILL walk into a friends house and notice the difference in their installation. This happens all the time and it just brings a smile to your face knowing that you got the absolute most for your money. Thank you Cliff for a job that exceeded all our expectations.

Service was "exceptional" from my first phone call to request an estimate through the installation. Cliff came out within two days to measure the three areas and explain his company's services and the process involved. I received three, detailed written estimates, one prepared for each grade of granite, depending upon our selection. We were given good direction and advice for comparing sink selection from a wholesaler and those available through Exceptional Granite. We completed our sink and faucet selection prior to selecting the granite slabs. Cliff took us to two granite warehouses and guided our selection of the slabs to maximize the cost effectiveness, and he also made a trip back to his office to get the template for our master bath so we could lay it on two similar slabs and make our choice. Additionally, we were able to see the kitchen template laid out on our slab and move it around to choose the specific area of color and grain for the island, so it was cut exactly the way we wanted it. Installation was completed in one day and the results are amazing. Such care was taken to bring the countertop surface up to the grout line along our tile backsplash and the silicone sealer was applied perfectly. One of the bathrooms required backsplashes, which were seamed flawlessly, just looks terrific. All of this was completed within 10 days of my first call. Each person we dealt with was professional, polite, eager to answer our questions and seemed interested in providing a quality effort. Ciff and his staff exceeded our expectations and are highly recommended.

Exceptional granite was reccommended to me by a friend who found it on Angie's list. I called for an estimate and advice on how to do the backsplash areas. I also asked for a suggestion for a cabinet refacing company ,which Cliff provided and has worked with on several jobs. The kitchen was measured by the cabinet company and Cliff informed me that I would need two slabs of granite and asked me to select the granite first so it could be included in the estimate. I had a very difficult time selecting granite because I was looking for greys similiar to marble. After exhausting several granite companies in Pinellas County on my own, Cliff offerred to take me to a large distributor in Tampa. He personnally picked me up at the office, drove me to the Tampa distributor, and helped me with choosing two possible granites. He also had them delivered to his shop so I could see them a second time. I really appreciated his effort and personal attention. I wound up not choosing either of the granites from Tampa, but Cliff assured me it was not a problem and they would be returned to the yard without any cost to me. My countertop was first templated by one of Cliff's workers and then on Sat., July 10 three men installed the pieces, drilled the holes for the faucet and soap dispenser and mounted the sink. They were very professional and neat. The granite fit perfectly and the seams are almost invisible. I did add extra work, that was not in the original plan in an area that I wanted a full backsplash. Cliff was very nice about it and had the area templated for cutting. The entire job was finished Monday, July 12, 2010 and looks beautiful. I would definitely reccommend this company for any job. We called Exceptional and drove the sink down to them. We met Cliff and the man and his staff were superb and he did the work for no charge! The man could not be nicer. He is professional, extremely polite and really a wonderful person. Our sink is up and operational and it looks great.

I selected a remnant piece of granite that matched my floor colors. They had lots to choose from. They cut the top to size and installed a sink and back splash. I picked it up and installed it myself. They were fast and very fair on price. This is my second experience with them and they are the BEST.

Selected from Angie's list, we contracted Exceptional Granite to fabricate and install our counter tops. From the first conversation, Cliff and his team were professional, courteous and placed quality first. Cliff helped us secure the granite and had two slabs transported to his shop. The template process went smoothly and the attention to detail was all there. Once the template process was complete, we went to Exceptional Granite to lay the templates on our slabs to achieve the best possible result. His staff was very helpful, explaining various techniques to keep the granite pattern pleasing and consistent. Installation was a two day process with the counter tops installed day #1 and the back splashes day #2. A team of three installers arrived on time both days. Care was taken to insure that there would be no damage and workspaces were kept very clean. Exceptional Granite stands out in their onsite finishing. Our counter tops, although very large went down in single slabs, a testament to their craftsmanship. Every joint on our angled back splashes was meticulously sealed and fine honing of the granite insured all seams were smooth. Though there were few last minute requests on our part, the installers were courteous and responsive. Every detail was addressed to our satisfaction. We would highly recommend Exceptional Granite and would utilize them for any and all future work.

The service was excellent. Olga kept me apprised of schedule changes, so I knew what was happening and when it would happen. The workmen arrived and cut the Silestone counter as I had asked. They did a beautiful job and they cleaned up VERY well after themselves. I could not be happier with this company and its personnel.

Superb job. The installation as supervised by Lupe who also did the template, was excellent. Additional care was taken to insure that the counter top was flush to the existing backsplash and level. The underside /overhang of the counter tops were polished which is not a standard in the industry from other quotes we received. Also, there were two other notable accolades for Exceptional Granite; a seam at the cook top is invisible and there is a reinforcing steel rod at the sink cutout. The under mounted sink, main water faucet, and water filter faucet were installed as part of the job. This additional care, i.e. extra work, did not result in an extra cost. The two technicians that accompanied Lupe were as dedicated as he was and the entire three man crew worked well together.

I have done a lot of business with the company. I have used them 3 or 4 times in the last couple of years. They are true craftsmen. They are very dependable and very honest. They have competitive pricing. They are honest people to work with. I have recommended them a number of times because I trust them.

Cliff Miller did an excellent job in directing us when the granite we had chosen was found to have faults. Cliff drove me all over St. Petersburg and Tampa to three different locations to insure that I found the granite that fit our kitchen remodel. His guys were excellent, and measured and cut everything to measure, and finished the granite cutting and installation in record time. They were always on time and efficient. I am very happy with their work and attitude towards assisting us.

Cliff and his helper not only came promptly, they came on Thanksgiving morning!! We were very grateful to them for going the extra mile. the work was well done, and they cleaned up very well.

Exceptional Granite and Tile did an exceptional job of fabrication and installation, I just took exception to the price. My wife and I met Cliff and he took us to the different granite supply outlets to pick out our slab. At the time, we told Cliff we needed a bathtub surround, a shower seat and tops to two kneewalls. Cliff told us he would cut the tub surround as a solid piece and he wouldn't charge us for anything we wanted made from the center piece. The estimate was $2,400.00 for the project, but he said that it would likely be cheaper (about $1400 for the granite and $800.00 to cut it) because he wouldn't charge us for the entire slab if we didn't use it all. Later on, our building contractor suggested we put a piece of granite (about 12 inches long and 6 inches wide) at the bottom of the shower niche and put another piece (about 3 ft long and 6 inches wide) on the shower threshold--to tie everything together. We called Cliff to see if there was enough granite for these additional pieces and he said there was. A couple of days later, Lupe came over to build the templates. Afterward, my wife and I went to the main store to see how the granite would be cut. Unfortunately, the idea that we would make the other pieces using the waste from the inside of the cut-out tub surround wasn't going to happen. Lupe felt that it would look better if we cut the granite so the pattern was all going in the same direction--my wife and I agreed. Therefore, we used up the entire slab of granite. On the designated installation day, Lupe came to my house on time and installed the pieces correctly. Bottom Line: I couldn't be happier with Cliff's and Lupe's professionalism, quality, and skill. The granite looks amazing and every detail was finished meticulously. However, the final price was: $1,400 for the granite and $1,992.15 for the fabrication and installation. That final price of $3,392 was quite a bit higher than his original estimate of $2,400. I expected to pay more than the estimate because of the additional pieces we ordered--I just wasn't expecting that much of a price jump. The worst part was that Cliff didn't inform us the final price would exceed the estimate by about $900.00 at a period in the project when we could've done something about it. In fact, I didn't find out until the job was done and Lupe handed me the bill. Update- He called me on Friday and told me that he felt bad about the situation. I don't believe he did it on purpose. It was a misunderstanding and he let me know about it. He also called to let me know that he credited my account $400 and I never even asked for a refund. I applaud his integrity and his desire to make sure the customers are 100% satisfied.

I had already decided to go with this company, so I just went in, they drove me to the yard to select my slab, and paid a deposit. Less than a week later, they did the job.

Very good attention to detail and quality. The company did a great job of helping me choose slabs that would blend best in my kitchen, and cut and installed them flawlessly. While they are a bit more expensive than Home Depot, they didn't nickel and dime the customer on the edge options or other items. I'd definitely choose them again.

Cliff, Lupe and Pat were professional, knowledgeable and very accommodating. They worked with us on selecting granite and gave ideas to enhance the appearance. They worked with us on price and did an excellent job. They came when promised, did the installation and cleaned up the mess. I highly recommend using them for granite installation.

We started discussing this project with another company. Total disaster. No returned phone calls, constant price changes etc. Then we checked Angie's List and found Cliff and Pat. An absolutely excellent experience. Cliff promptly returned my call, sent Lupe to estimate, took us to the granite yard to pick out what we wanted. Granite installed on time and on budget. Lupe the estimator/installer was great also. He was professional, courteous and cleaned up after install. Great overall experience. Highly recommend to all.

Despite a scheduling foul-up on the day of installation, our experience with Exceptional Granite was thoroughly professional and the work excellent. From the first telephone call, to the template preparation, to the granite selection and ultimate installation, the owners and employees were pleasant, polite, skilled professionals. We were particularly impressed with the owners personal involvement in the installation to insure the work was done on the day we had scheduled. Once alerted to the scheduling problem; when we called at 10 AM asking where the installers were only to be told they were coming the next day, the company regrouped and had an owner led team on site before 1 PM. He stayed with the crew until the job was done nearly six hours later. The company dealt with the unexpected installation difficulties calmly and creatively. All in all a first rate performance.

The project was smooth and professional from beginning to end. The price was fair and all charges were explained clearly up front. Prior to contracting, the owner and an employee came to our home to scope the project and make templates for the areas to be covered. He then took my wife and me to the granite supply yard so we could pick out the exact slabs of granite that we wanted. After we contracted for the job the granite was delivered to Exceptional Marble and Granite. My wife and I were asked to come by and provide input as the templates were laid out on the granite. This began just before Christmas and the job was completed by January 13 (two and a half days on site). All the employees and the owners were at all times professional and very pleasant and reasonable to work with. The work itself went very smoothly with no problems and the end result looks even more stunning than we had anticipated. I would not hesitate to use them again and would highly recommend them to my friends.

The project went very well. They were very professional in their work and they took the time to show us samples of the product. They didn't rush the job and made sure everything was done to our satisfaction. Would highly recommend this company to anyone.
