There was a bit of a communication glitch that wasn't anyone's fault and the owner, Tom, called me to make sure that I was fully satisfied and that the leak was corrected. I am thoroughly satisfied with the quality of the work and their commitment to customer satisfaction. They seek repeat business from satisfied customers and new referrals from existing satisfied satisfied customers. This is a company who understands the value of a quality work product. I would gladly recommend them to a neighbor, a friend or a family member. A++++++ workmanship, A++++++ pricing and A++++++ customer service.
Description of Work: I contacted Albright to find the source of a leak causing water to drip from a first floor ceiling of my two story home. My home is new and the roof should have been covered by the warranty provided by the roofing contractor who installed the roof. When I called the contractor, I learned that he had gone out of business. Finding a licensed roofer willing to work on a metal roof wasn't easy. I checked Angie's List, found Albright Roofing and was impressed with their high ratings with customer satisfaction as well as pleased to see they were experienced with metal roofs. I scheduled an appointment for an estimate and was given the name of the person and a phone number to speak with him directly. Wayne arrived on time as scheduled and quickly determined the source of the leak. I was given a clearly written estimate. My roof was intact, but the builder hadn't properly sealed several second story windows or the flashing of a 1st story open porch. Albright corrected this oversight.

 + 1 moreWe are very pleased with the whole process. We would not hesitate to recommend this company to our friends or anyone in need of a serious roofing contractor.
Description of Work: We had a sagging gutter because of rotten fascia and broken tiles. Albright sent a representative who, after examination of the corner roof of the house, said that we needed to replace tiles and rotten wood under the overhang holding the gutter. The gutter had to be removed but not replaced. The work could not be done immediately due to a heavy workload incurred by the company, but after two weeks, two men came to complete the job. It was done in one day, quite well and by men who took pride in their work. They also reattached the gutter. Since two nails were still missing at the end of the day, the men promised to return the next day, without fail, to finish the work completely. This, indeed, did happen!

He finally came and checked the roof and told me he would be back the next day. He did not call or show up. So I looked for another company.

 + -1 moreEstimate/Angie's List discount: $500. Would take a couple of guys a day to do the work & usually would be done in a week. On June 25th I called Albright to say I selected them for the work & signed/faxed the estimate back to Albright per instructions from a phone call. Multiple calls to this company transpired between June 25th until July 13th. I called and left up to three phone numbers daily where I could be reached. I did receive a call on July 10th somewhat apologetic & said she'd be in touch with Wayne to call me. No work looked to be done. I received a message from Wayne on July 13th saying he had done the job a week before. I understand that minor roof repair is not high on the payment list compared to a new roof, I do expect a phone call when work is being done on my house as requested. It appears Wayne wrote down my phone number incorrectly (as determined at the end of the 3 week ordeal). I did receive a bill dated July 11. I'll need a new roof hopefully in 3 years.
Description of Work: I chose Albright Roofing based on their reputation/score on Angie's List. Called, scheduled an estimate for minor roof repair. Mentioned I am an Angie's List member. A family emergency subsequently had me leave on short notice & Albright was very accommodating to reschedule. The estimate was rescheduled for June 22, 2007. Wayne came over in the early afternoon & I explained where the leak was & showed the ceiling water stain. He left to go back to the office to get a ladder & during that time, the clouds opened up to a typical summer FL downpour. Suddenly, water started gushing from the dining room light fixture, so I called the Albright office to let them know the repair may be bigger than anticipated. Wayne returned later in the afternoon, acknowledged my follow-up call about the new leak & looked at the roof. He said the main leak was probably due to previous owner's attempt to fix (didn't use a membrane & that the satellite dish company had improperly nailed fasteners to the roof).

 + -1 moreTook about 3 and 1/2 days to complete. Very efficient and cleaned up after each days work. They used a metal detector to help get all the nails off the ground, although we found about 150 of them ourselves afterward. If you have any kids, insure wearing of shoes afterward and double check yourself. Although, this happens with any roofing job to an extent. Have about 3500 sq ft of roof. Very easy to work with with.
Description of Work: New 30yr shingled roof. New ridge vents, drip caps, replaced plywood as needed (7 sheets in our case). Flat roof also (about 15x40'). Removed a wood burning stove chimney, and old solar water heater from our roof.

 + -1 moreWe were very pleased with the overall experience. Within several days of our phone call, Tom Owen came out with associate Wayne Rains to give us an estimate. They checked the roof (which required a 3-story climb) and answered all of our questions--and Wayne came out the very next day with a team. Wayne showed us the rubber roofing material that was being used in the repair, and he answered our questions about its ability to withstand sun and heat. He completed the repair in one afternoon. Professional and timely--much appreciated. It hasn't rained since the repair was completed, but we have a 1-year warranty & we are confident that the Albright folks will come back out to take a look at the roof if we run into a problem.
Description of Work: My neighbor and I share a town-home roof which was leaking. Albright Roofing performed a repair that required the removal of 6 rows of tile (part of the leaking area was covered with tile & part was not covered with tile), cleaning & prepping the affected area, installing a white granulated rubber material over the entire affected area (which included two drains), and reinstalling the tile.(Note: We received the 5% Angie's List discount.)

Description of Work: Wednesday 5-2-07; removed old roof, put in a solar tube, put on roofing paper, shingles delivered, cleaned up all the debris, put on sloped roof on the addition, and put on flashing all on the first day. Thursday 5-3-07; put on the shingles. Friday 5-4-07; finished putting on shingles, and cleaned up all tar and remaining debris. Job was done in an efficient, clean manner and according to the contract.

 + -1 moreTom Albright came out the next day after I called for an estimate. He examined my old roof, including the flat roof over my pool. He agreed that the flat roof did not need replacing. He gave me an estimate that day and said that he could easily do the work before Memorial Day. I had a couple of other estimates to get and I decided that Albright was reasonable and I liked Tom's approach. After I called the company and told them I would like them to do the work they said that they would call with a date. They did that very soon and the work was done on schedule with no extra charges. Tom had told me that they could have it done in two days because he used two crews and that is what happened. Two days, I had a new roof and the clean up was exemplary.
Description of Work: Albright roofing removed my old tile roof and replaced it with a new shingle one.

 + -1 moreWe had 3 estimates on replacing our roof. We were impressed by all 3 so it was a difficult decision. Tom Owen of Albright Roofing had a good system for the flat portion of the roof (over the sunroom). He was prompt in coming out to give us an estimate and was very pleasant. He was very through in explaining all aspects of the roofing process and new code requirements. Considering all aspects of all the proposals, we decided to go with another company which had the best warranty on workmanship.
Description of Work: Worked not performed, was one of three companies who gave us an estimate on replacing roof plus a small section of the flat roof over the sunroom, and replacement of cap on fireplace chimney.

 + -1 moreWe had to wait quite a while for the tiles that we wanted to get here because of the hurricane in New Orleans. Albright went out of their way to cover our roof during the wait because our roof was very old and had a leak. Once the tiles were here, Albright installed them right on time. They kept me informed everyday about the progress and did everything that they said they would. When they were done they made sure that I was totally satisfied. This roofing company is truly different than most I have had experience with because they really do everything exactly as they tell you they will. I was extremely impressed with this company.
Description of Work: Albright installed our new roof and did a fabulous job. The owner took the time to go with me to see a roof that we loved that was in our neighborhood. He went out of his way to make sure that we got exactly what we wanted. All of our neighbors have complemented our roof. We truly have the best looking roof in the neighborhood.

Description of Work: We received an estimate for roof replacement. About two days after the roofer (not the salesman) visited us and gave us an estimate, we received another visit from the same man indicating that he had some ethical concerns with the company and that he was now working for a different company and wanted to let us know. We phoned the owner of Albright to let him know that he had a former employee doing this. He seemed indifferent to the situation and did not bother to apologize or indicate concern.
