Description of Work: There was a big problem with the price. Angie's list had a special at one price. The vendor claimed they didn't authorize the special and couldn't honor the price. I really wanted the product so I ended up paying $300-400 more than the special. I have no way of knowing if it was a bait and switch or if Angie's list made the mistake. | |I was without hot wAter for a week before the water heater could be installed which I considered excessive. After the install, the building inspector failed the install and I had to have the electrician return and fix the problem. On his way out of my driveway, he apparently ran over my neighbor's lawn. I asked him about it and he denied running over the lawn, so I can't be positive about this. He never called me back on another electrical project he was pricing for me, so I don't know what happened there. After rereading the narrative I just typed, I went back and lowered my original ratings above. | |Don't get me wrong, I still believe in the product and it has functioned very well since it was installed, it is the ancillary issues that were problems.

The tankless water heater needed to be wired to my electrical panel which was too far away from the garage and had no attic access. So Gulf Coast found a way to install it closer to the panel and worked in very small, hot cramped attic space to connect the plumbing. The electrician working with Gulf Coast also managed in very difficult conditions. It was a very complicated, expensive, difficult process but I appreciate the company finding a way to make it possible.

Best money I have spent. It's a small box on the wall, water is for my whole house 2000 square feet. Takes a few seconds for the water to be hot and it boils. I'm on well water and even the water pressure is better than before.

Very pleased with my experience with Gulf Coast Tankless, in spite of some difficulty in reaching them due the the long holiday weekend and their having to catch up on phone calls when returning. Unfortunately, my existing tankless water heater - purchased from Gulf Coast at a home show in late 2005 - stopped working right before the Memorial Holiday weekend. Two people at the company tried to help me over the phone, diagnosing the problem as a likely fuse issue that could be rectified with a reset button. After trying multiple times, it was evident this was not happening. They continued to work hard to find a service person who could come out and Peter came out on Thursday morning. Very courteous and efficient, he determined the coils were bad and that the unit would have to be switched out for a new model. Because of the relatively short time I had the unit, they gave me an excellent price for replacement. Plus Pete helped correct a bad dryer hose hookup while here. Awesome!
Description of Work: Faulty tankless hot water heater was inspected and determined to be faulty. A new box was installed plus, Peter, the service person, offered to re-attach the dryer hose that had come loose upon moving the washer/dryer unit to access the heater box. All at no extra charge.
