Master Painter

Bought a big deal to use Master Painter to paint our new home. When I first tried to book, I was told they have sold so many big deals they are swamped right now, try back in a few months. I was worried about the offer expiring so called them again a couple months ago. They were able to schedule within a couple weeks to work with our schedule and were very trustworthy. My wife left them there while she ran out to get a little more paint and pick our daughter up from school. The work was pretty good, just noticed a little overpaint on some windows.

I paid for 4 hours of rotted wood replacement and did not receive the service. The Master Painter came out to the house and assessed the work. He even gave me the name of another handyman who was a roofer to finish off another project. He said he'd come back. We tried to get together 3 times but he was always running behind and didn't make it to my house any of the days we scheduled. He's a nice guy and I think he means good - he just didn't make it to my house to do the job.

They did great. Don't remember price, but it was very reasonable.

it was a challenge to schedule at first. There was a last minute cancellation, then there was a death in the family (which I completely understand) and so it took some time to get it scheduled; however, when they did finally arrive, while we only paid for 2 people, they had a third guy show up for 3/4 of the day. Overall they did a good job and I would consider them again.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It turned out okay. There were additional charges. I don't think we'll have them back. It was the first time we've used them. It was an okay experience but not a great one.

They came by to give us an estimate. It turned out to be more complicated than what we wanted to have done so we decided not to use them in the end. They never called to follow up after the estimate to see if we were even interested in continuing service with them.

It went very well. I was pleased with my experience and will definitely use again.

The job required much more work due to the degree of rotting wood and soffit. It took 2 and 1/2 days. The damage is repaired and the soffit looks good.

Bill showed up on time,said he could do the work...and did it.. and did it very well....Carpentry wood was very well done.....I am happy with the work....and will call him again..

I was very happy when I was told that they would be able to do the painting on a Saturday since I work during the week. However, when the day arrived, only the owner showed up saying that his 2 workers didn't come in that day! So much for getting 2 painters for 8 hours! There was a misunderstanding on the amount of paint that was needed. I was only told to get 2 gal for the walls and 1 gal for the ceiling when I should have got 2 gal for the ceiling as well as trim paint. Would have been better if a proposal was written up stating what was needed. As it turned out, I had some white paint that was used for the trim and I guess the ceiling paint must have been enough. Before he started the painting he removed my drapery in 2 rooms as well as a very large valance in one room. When the job was completed, I was told that he would be back first thing in the morning to rehang the drapes and valance. The next day when he had not arrived by 10 am, I started calling and leaving messages about coming back to put up my window treatments. He never called back. Consequently, I had to get 2 neighbors to come over and help put my window treatments back up. I had planned on using them for additional painting and even told him so, but when he didn't follow through on his commitment nor even bother to return my call, he lost any future business from me.

I purchased a big deal coupon for this company. The service went fine and I'm going to have him come back next week do some other work for me. He called when he was going to be a little late because he was finishing another job. They cleaned up after themselves and very nice. I think the owner Bill was very nice and amenable. His workers came and worked very efficient what they were doing.

Showed up on time for both estimate and scheduled painting. Price was great. Job was professionally done in a short period of time. Workmanship was excellent.

No call, no show, took 5+ phone calls just to get a response and when we set up an appointment, they never showed. I called 5+ more times and no response.

I bought a Big Deal. The offer was $300 (or four hours) worth of work for $149. The service provider (Master Painter) sent out a sub-contractor to scope the work. The sub-contractor offered to do all sorts of additional work (roofing, electrical, dry wall) beyond what I wanted addressed (wood rot). A couple days later the sub-contractor called and provided a verbal estimate of the cost to repair the wood rot but could not provide a cost for the materials. I contacted the Master Painter to see what the materials cost would be and did get that info. However, I also asked how the Big Deal would be credited against the work and Master Painter said he'd take $149 off the price. Thus, there was no deal at all.

It turned out pretty well. They showed up on time and were professional. They completed the job in two days and their clean up was okay. I am pleased with the outcome.

I purchased a Big Deal from this provider and I did not hear from him in 48 hours so, I sent him a message with dates that were good for me. He responded by offering a date and I accepted. A few days before that date, I sent him a message asking him when he would arrive that day. When he didn't respond by the next day, I called him and again got no response. On the day he was supposed to provide the service he didn't show and I sent him another message asking to reschedule and again got no response. Since that time, I have called and have emailed additional times with no response. At this point I have contacted another painter who I got from Angie's List who is very responsive and will come out within a couple of weeks. I would just like a refund for this Big Deal. I have no interest in doing business with someone who doesn't show or return calls and emails.

When I purchased the big deal I was asked to provide dates that I wanted to schedule them. I provided two dates. I was not contacted by Master Painter by Oct 1st as indicated in the Big Deal. I e-mailed (through Angie's list messaging) Master Painter on Oct 7th after not hearing anything. Master Painter replied on Oct 8th stating he would call me at 0830 hrs on Oct 9th - I never received a phone call. I e-mailed again on Oct 10th indicating I did not receive a phone call and the best way to communicate with me was via e-mail and I provided my personal e-mail address. I received a reply stating Master Painter would call me at 630 hrs and if I didn't hear from him then I should call him and he provided his phone number. Later in the day, Master Painter replied again and stated he didn't have my phone number and to please call him. Not sure how he planned to call me several days prior without having my phone number. (I didn't remember if I provided it when I purchased the deal and I assumed that I did since he stated he would call me). I replied on Oct 11th and stated I would call him after work. I called and left a voicemail message. Bill returned my call and we talked about scheduling my service on a saturday. Bill said he was driving and would call me back in about 20 minutes when he could check his calendar. I have not heard back from him and it is Oct 15th now. I didn't think I would have this much trouble just trying to schedule and communicate. I would like to cancel this entire transaction. Can you please assist me with this? I really don't want any help in contacting Master Painter to get this resolved. My opinion has already been tainted even if he is a great painter.

The provided went and saw the home and stated that the job should be completed in the 8 hours allotted but that it would be close. At the end of 8 hours the job was not even half way done. He was argumentative and proceeded to blame the quality of Glidden paint. We told him that if the paint was an issue he should have told us that before he started the job. He then said he need another day to finish the job properly for $175 so we agreed. She was not pleased but they told her that they were still finishing up so she paid and left. When we went to look at the work. This is everything we found wrong: Base boards and doors not painted Paint splatters everywhere Shelving left out on the floor and not painted or put back Food, trash and empty food containers everywhere Masking tape not removed Bathroom exhaust missing Prior color purple paint still showing by the ceiling

He reached out to us within two business days as stated in the deal at the time of purchase. He inspected the wood rot and noted that I had some roofing work that needed to be done before he could perform the service. I needed to find out where the water was coming from before the repair could take place. I reached out to him after having the roof fixed, he set an appointment for October 1st at 11am. He did not show. I followed up with him the same day to see if he was still coming. I have not heard back. I will have someone else do the work.

excellent painters. very clean. professional job. plan to use them to paint our 3 car garage.

They are excellent. I would recommend them to anyone. The actual painting was very good. They did an awesome job.

They came by and looked at the area to be painted and we made an appointment for a day in the near future and I contacted my son and nephew to help move furniture and carpet etc out of the way. I purchased the paint they recommended and when they showed up (on time) he was ready to go to work. Even though the price was for two painters one man called in sick and Billy took on the project by himself. Working almost non stop (except for lunch) he did a two coat paint job with excellent coverage. When he was done painting the walls he painted the trim in the rooms and all free hand with not one spot of paint on either the wall or the ceiling. When he was ready to go we looked over the whole project and was amazed that there was not one drop of paint any where it was not supposed to be. He assured us that if we found any thing we missed he would come back and when we called him for a small place behine a cabinet he returned the next day and painted it and then spent time going over the rooms and when he was satisfied he left with again letting us know to call if we found more. Would I call him again? I did and when I change out the doors in the house he willl be back to paint them and maybe the kitchen cabinets. Can't go wrong with these gents
