We found Mark on Angie's List and he was a good find. We loved his attention to detail and responsivness. Would recommend him highly.

We recently found out we were pregnant and knew we needed to do some work to make one of the bedrooms into a nursery. The bedroom had a very high chair rail in it so we were worried how wainscoting might look in the room. We called Mark and he came out the next day, gave us some options for the room, and provided a rough estimate. He contacted us shortly after with a written estimate which was well within our budget and we hired him on the spot. He was very upfront as to what were material vs labor costs for the job. In the end, he removed the chair rail and provided us pointers as to how to repair the area ourselves to help us save some money. He was out a week later and completed the entire room in a single day. It looks absolutely wonderful and my wife and I are thrilled with the level of detail in his work! We know who we’ll be calling anytime we need carpentry done around the house and his name is Mark Goeden!

To build and install wainscoting for our dining room is just one of many projects Mark has done for us. As always, Mark did a meticulous job from beginning to end. His attention to detail, skilled and comprehensive knowledge in carpentry gave us exactly what we wanted. We also very much appreciate Mark's attention to covering up our surrounding furniture's and always leaving the work place clean and tidy. Bottom line, if you need good quality carpentry work - we strongly recommend Mark.

Mark responded quickly when I called about getting an estimate to replace our damaged door. He stopped by our house to view the old door and the evaluate the extent of the damage. He was willing to try to repair the existing door, but we decided to go ahead and replace it. He gave us a verbal estimate on the spot along with the websites of several door manufacturers so that we could pick a new door we liked. Once we picked out a door, he provided a full written proposal for the materials and labor. Because the door we selected wasn't a stock unit, there was some delay before the actual installation, but this wasn't Mark's fault. The installation went quickly and smoothly. When he was done, Mark did a thorough job of cleaning up both inside the house and out, hauling away the old door and all the other construction debris. I was quite pleased with how Mark was able to fit the new door into the existing trim work. You cannot tell what is new vswhat is old, and I didn't have to do any caulking or painting! Overall an excellent experience. I would highly recommend Mark.

Mark first came out to the house to give me an estimate. He was punctual for botht the estimate and the installaton of the doors. Upon removal of the doors, Mark found more wood rot thatn expected, but removed the rot and contined on with the job-Mark's estimate was only 30.00 dollars more than the original quote due to the excess rot...I was extremely happy when I returned home from work and saw my new doors. Mark had no issue with moving a table that was in his way and was extremely neat.

Mark was reliable and professional. His previous experience was evident, trustworthy and nice guy.

I found Mark on Angie's List. He came by to give me an estimate and provided a list of things to buy (door, framing, etc). The door and supplies cost about $200 and he charged me $300 to do the job. Mark arrived on time, even a little early. He had all his tools on his truck and came ready to work. Replacing the door was a chore. Mark had to chisel out some old concrete to make the new door fit properly. When Mark was finished, the door fit perfectly and opened and closed without any issues. I could tell Mark takes pride in the finished product. Mark cleaned up after himself. There was no debris or trash left behind. I would definitely utlilize Mark's services again.

As usual, everything went perfectly! That's not to say there weren't unknowns encountered along the way but that Mark problem solved as things came up and the end product was perfect!

I could not be happier with the results and as always Mark was professional and a perfectionist in everything he did! I would highly recommend him to anyone!

I have used him 3 times in the past. He is very professional and reasonably priced. He is diligent and a great person. He cleaned the place and left it as it was, when he came in. I liked his services and will use the same in future.

Mark was able to provide a reliable estimate over the phone. He offered suggestions to help reduce costs and was happy to take on whatever needed to be done. When he arrived to do the work, he made certain to review each project to verify what needed to be completed. He presented custom finishing options when putting up the chair rail. After determining that the bathroom door had been improperly installed, he presented options and revisited costs for this work. He knew exactly which door to order without looking it up and suggested several companies where the doors could be purchased. We decided to replace another bathroom door as well so that all the doors in the home would match. Pricing was slightly higher than anticipated, but it must be considered that Mark picked up the doors to be installed without increasing the fees, we were not located close to him so transportation costs were probably a factor, and Mark was able to get all of this work completed properly before the holidays.

Even though it was a very small job, I think it required a little thinking outside the box to get it done right. Mark is really good at working with cabinets and wood, he knew exactly how to handle the problem. Mark uninstalled one of the existing cabinets without damaging any of the surrounding cabinets or edging, made some very clean cuts, and put everything back together. Mark did a really good job. I can't even tell they've been modified without really looking closely. Mark was on time, very intelligent, and worked quickly and meticulously. Cleaned up after himself and was on his way. FYI: I think Mark usually charges a minimum but I was able to work with his schedule and the job was really small, so I think he cut me a little break on that minimum charge.

Mark is a superior craftsman with strong work ethic, attention to detail and great eye. He worked with me to craft solutions to the design, construction and installation of the large bookshelf and wainscoting and it came out better than I could have imagined! I would refer Mark to anyone and will be asking him to do additional work when I'm ready for the next project.

Overall I had a great experience with Mark. I called him to explain what I needed and he came over to look at the space the next day. He arrived promptly, took measurements, and proposed installing sliding doors instead of pull-out doors, something which I hadn't considered before. He told me he would price out the materials and call me with an estimate the next day. He left and about an hour later he called me from the store with a quote. He stopped by with a contract for me to sign a couple of days later and we made an appointment for installation two weeks later. Mark built the doors in his shop and called me the following week to let me know they were ready. On installation day, he got here right on time again. There were some little glitches he had to work through (my walls weren't perfectly straight, so he had to make a few adjustments), but he consulted me every time, laying out the different ways he could do it and giving me a choice. He cleaned up and vacuumed the dust before he left. Now to the doors: Great fit and finish. You can tell that Mark knows what he is doing. Everything was measured and cut properly, parts were correctly installed and as flush and aligned as possible. Mark was also innovative and took care of the small details. I am very happy with the end result.

Mark met us to discuss the project in advance. He provided an accurate estimate for materials and services and arrived on time to begin work. The project was completed on schedule and the quality of overall results was excellent.

Mark was very honest, professional and did a great job from start to finish.

We were supposed to receive a call back to schedule an appointment. Never received a callback.

Showed up EXACTLY when he said he would, worked quickly and neatly. Took a can of paint I had used on doors so that everything would match and painted the baseboards BOTH before and after installation. Mark is pleasant, professional, and very good at what he does!

I called Mark for an estimate and he was very responsive. He always returned calls in a timely manner. I emailed him photos and he prepared a preliminary estimate based on that. Then, he came to my condo to review the situation and presented the estimate to me. When I called him with my decision to use his services, he promptly started building the bookshelf at his workshop. He kept me informed throughout that process. When completed, he called to schedule a time for installation. He showed up early and did a quality job installing the bookshelf. He followed-up later with a phone call asking me about my satisfaction with the bookshelf. It looks great! He is responsive, professional, and courteous and he does quality work. I would use Mark Goeden again for future carpentry projects. Thank you.

He was on time for the estimate appointment. He provided a detailed, typed estimate which he adhered to in costs, even though he probably spent a little more time redoing what the door fabricator had put together incorrectly. He is a perfectionist, but to save costs, I took care of the disposal of the tear-out materials and I have decided to do the finish work of the drywall patching and taping the gaps. I will also do the knowdown finish, where needed.

We were very pleased with the work. He understood exactly what we wanted and gave us exactly what we wanted.

Mark showed up early every day (which is what we wanted) and worked pretty much non stop every day (his style, not our request). We asked that he finish each day by 4:30pm and he did. He is an extremely hard worker who takes a lot of pride in his work. He seems to know what he is doing and the finished product shows it. He is quiet (no loud radio) and tries his best to get the job done without too much inconvenience to the home owner. Every day he cleaned up after himself. I can't say enough about his work ethic or the end product.

Always on time, did excellent work, and I would recommend him for anyone needing to hire a carpenter.

Meticulous job! Mark is a true craftsman that cares about his work. He always showed up when he said he would and coordinated with flooring installers so T-molding could be cut correctly. Price was fair and baseboards look great. No messes left. Job site was always cleaned up before he left. I'd highly recommend him for any finish carpentry work.
