Quality of work was excellent. Crew was polite and moved very quickly. Clean up was exceptional. John did not ask for any payment until roof was completed to our satisfaction and signed off by the city inspector.

I wasn't happy with the original job, and let them know about it, so John Scott (the owner) himself came out and said he’d fix it. He came out this morning and fixed it, and even gave me a partial refund. Now I would recommend them to anyone

It was lowest of the 4 bids all off Angie's List people. What he offered off of quality was the cheapest as he offered about $1500 less than the others. You deal directly with John Scott. His office person is very accesible and easy to work with. They sent a large over with a supervisor and did the entire job in one day which was great. Excellent quality I stood outside and watched them do it. At the end of the job all of the workers except supervisor walked to verify all nails and debris were removed.

Before I start this review, all Veterans please take note; John Scott informed us the VA would provide us with a $250.00 rebate by just giving John Scott Roofing a copy of your DD-214. We received the rebate 3 weeks after they mailed in our DD-214. John Scott's Office Mgr. (Chris) coordinated, scheduled and kept us informed of what and when would be taking place. Originally we had several leaks in our newly addition of a Florida Room. John Scott personally came to our residence quite frequently to ensure we were totally satisfied. Once the leaks were repaired we noticed additional leaks so Mr. Scott once again came to our residence and climbed onto our roof and pulled back some shingles and noticed a lot of the 3/8" plywood on the existing roof was rotten due to incorrectly installed doubled shingles plus a large Oak tree branch had covered half of the back of the roof which faced North which never receives sunlight. We had that section of the Oak Tree removed. Mr. Scott gave us a great price to replace the entire roof with a shingle roof (including 5 pieces of plywood) so unique it almost looks like a shake roof. The removal and the install went very smoothly with a few hiccups but were immediately fixed. The new roof looks amazing and neighbors commented on how nice it looked. Finding a Contractor in Florida that is trustworthy and honest is very difficult to find. Mr. Scott is a man of his word..

Appeared to have gone well. The section of plywood was a tough fit that had to be reworked once.

It didn't. Don't waist your time with this crew.

I could not find anything to complain about with this job by John Scott Roofing if I tried!!! The roof looks great and there were absolutely no issues. This job came off as smooth as silk, from start to finish. All work was performed on time and exactly as described. John Scott is thoroughly professional, taking the time to fully explain the process and options, and answer all questions. Since he does not do the work personally, my fear was that I?d get a crew that performed less than expected, but this was simply not the case. His crew was professional, kept the grounds clean during the work process, and reviewed the progress with me up at key points on the roof. They were all hard workers, and courteous as well. John included 6 roof vents, explaining to me that they would greatly help ventilation of the roof as opposed to the ridge vent that originally existed. In the end, the ventilation he installed was so good that it reduced my air conditioning energy costs greatly. Last of all, John Scott came out to the property to personally review the job and spent considerable time sweeping the gound for roofing nails, which was a good thing since he did find some which would have undoubtedly ended up in my tires.

Came on time for estimate and explained all the types and choices -very detailed. Answered all my questions. Scheduled so to avoid rain. HA! Rained anyway. Men put on protective coating and stayed until rain stopped. Came next morning to finish because they needed more shingles. The men put down large tarps on the ground and over plants to keep the yard clean. They did an excellent job installing and cleaning up. I would recommend this company to everyone.

When we started on the journey to replace our 22 year old roof we quickly went to the yellow pages. I contacted five local Roofing contractors and they provided estimates from $15,000.00-$45,000.00. With no references and a lot concern I went to Angie's List. John Scott Roofing was highly rated and I decided to get one more estimate. Mr Scott came out the very next day. He was very accommodating and took the time to measure our two buildings, provide product samples and fully explained what "we" as homeowners are expected to know about the law. He had examples of documents and was completely up front with everything. We needed 24 hours to think about his estimate and called him back the next morning to sign the contract. Mr. Scott returned and we were on our way. His office manager Chris called right away and got us on the schedule. Within 2 weeks permits were pulled, materials were ordered and we were ready to go. The work crews arrived as planned and got to work at sunrise. They tore off the old roofs and identified all the rotted plywood. The men worked continuously with great craftsmanship. Everyone was respectful and kept us updated every day. On the final day the job was inspected by Mr. Scott and once he approved the county building inspector arrived to sign off on the permit. From start to finish the job was done right. We are so pleased with John Scott Roofing and highly recommend him for your Roofing needs. By the way.... His estimate was the lowest of everyone we talked to! Go figure.

Done very well. Had latino workers that were very good and did a great job. Gave me a chance to practice my Spanish. the house looks wonderful.

They were excellent. I got them because my son used them and he thought he was fabulous. He raved about them. As a matter of fact, they stood behind me when the ABC Supply truck came to deliver the shingles and the hydraulic fluid broke in the arm of the lift, and it went all over my driveway. They stood by to make sure they made good on it rather than not get involved because it was not their fault. They called them and made sure that I was taken care of. The price was very comparable, if not lower than the others. I had 3 estimates. They came when they said they would, they cleaned up, and it was immaculate when they left. I will tell others to hire them. They won't be disappointed. The quality of the work that was done was perfect. They responded beyond my needs. I would call them if I'll have a problem.

After the roof inspection, Mr. Scott indicated that if he owned our villa, he would NOT recommend replacement of our roof at this juncture because he felt our roof had another 4-5 years of life/service left. He did recommend some minor roofing repairs, to include boot repair, other minor repair and the replacement of the ridge vent. He felt our ridge vent was too short for our roof span and some of the nails attaching the ridge vent to our roof had worked loose. We concurred with Mr. Scott's recommendation and therefore, recommended work was completed to include using screws rather than nails in securing the new ridge vent! Mr. Scott's roofing crew is supervised by a person with many years of experience and additionally, his crew is cordial, work neatly and professional! I would highly recommend John Scott Roofing to anyone who has any roofing concerns!

They were very good, get the job done on time and they were most reasonable price. They are very professional and took care of all my concern. I would use them again in the future.

I have a friend who lives close by. She discovered a leak in her kitchen and thought that it was her roof. She was having trouble getting someone to come out and take care of such a small job. I told her I would check Angie's List for her. I thought that John Scott Roofing would do the trick. I liked the reviews. He more than met our expectations. He called my friend back promptly and set up a time. He came out and found the problem, a nail in the roof was rusting and causing a leak into her kitchen. While he was up on the roof (in the rain) he discovered more rusty nails and took care of them. My friend is so happy with the work and the person who did it. He charged her no more for the extra nails and time. Easy to see why this company has a great rating. They deserve it.

I was very happy with the roof they installed. They even called me 3 weeks before the scheduled time since they had all the materials ready. I chose them out of all 5 estimates because they said they would match the lowest bid and still honor the Angie's List coupon. It took the crew only 1.5 days to do the job. They cleaned up well once they were done and they hauled away the old roof as well. You could not even tell anyone was there since they cleaned up so well. I have had no issues with the roof at all since.

We contacted three roofing companies to get estimates. All three estimates were within a few hundred dollars of each other. We decided to go with John Scott roofing because of the extras they provide.They also had a good rating with the Better Business Bureau and great comments on Angie's List. The company provides you with releases of lien from both the roofing co. and from the supplier. They also take pictures and e mail them to your insurance agent. The work began exactly when we were told that it would. The men worked from early morning until dusk. They had a team that was large enough to complete the job in two days.Clean up was done at the end of each day. Mr. Scott came by and did a final check the day after the job was completed. We are very satisfied with the results and highly recommend John Scott Roofing.

Was pleased from the beginning contract. They checked the roof and determined the problem. Gave me a date, came and did the job quickly and efficiently. Did not request payment right away, billed me a week later. Remove shingles and plumbing boot. Sealed roof, install new lead boot and new shingles. Replaced wood around pipe.

John Scott roofing sent an appraiser to my home within 2 days of my calling them. He arrived on time, was very courteous, and he was very professional in his appraisal and estimate of replacing my entire roof. Although I finally used a different roofer, John Scott's estimate was within $500 of the other 2 bids that I obtained for my project. I would have had no reservations in using them to do my project. Highly recommend calling them for any estimate for your roofing project!

Ted examined the leaking skylight from on top of the roof. He said it was installed improperly and cheaply. He also said that a repair wouldn't last more than a year or so, and he recommended replacing it. According to Ted, replacing it would involve not only replacing the skylight, but also redoing the shingles around it and reworking (framing, sheet rocking, and painting) the tunnel within the house under the skylight. We have a total of seven skylights, but none of the others leak. Ted said the cost to replace the leaking skylight was $1500, but he would "only" charge $500 each if we did all seven. I had already checked on the cost of skylights and they are less than $300 for the type he recommended. In addition, I received three other estimates and none of them said the skylight had to be rebuilt. It is the ridiculously high price and expansion of work that warrants my rating. I just didn't feel as though he was being honest with me. After receiving all of the estimates, I went with a roofer with a very good rating on Angie's List and got a very good price and a warranty.

Very thorough, all questions answered clearly and all work was completed as stated. Mr Scott arranged for the inspection upon completion of the work. We were kept informed on a daily basis of the work being done. Mr. Scott's office assisted us in forwarding all necessary photos and paperwork to our insurance and mortgage companies.

She was very happy with the job they did and will reccomend them to others
