I don't know any of the prices involved, since I'm the tenant, not the homeowner. My landlady purchased the garage door from DGD and purchased a separate Craftsman garage door opener. The installer, Micky, was great. He was on time, professional, friendly, personable, and very competent. One guy to put in a garage door!!! Impressive! The whole process took about four or five hours. Micky cleaned up the area and took the old door and all the trash with him. All in all, a great experience.

Not only was Matt thorough in his inspection of the garage door, but he advised me on problems that could occur in the future. I appreciated that he didn't try to up-sell me as I previously experienced with an Angie's List garage door contractor.

They took my original garage door opener that came with the garage door. They replaced it with a mickey mouse opener. The office manager said they throw away the old openers and told me I couldn't come look for it in their trash bin. I would never recommend them! For a few more hundred dollars I could've gotten a whole new door.

The work was great and the warranty if practically lifetime. he also had an opener on the truck, which he sold to me as well. Making all the adjustments needed. He was courteous, fast and efficient.

I called DGD Inc and told them that I needed a new backup battery. When DGD tech arrived on 7/2/15 I was told that he did not carry batteries and no one told him that one was needed. After he left a DGD representative called, apologized, and rescheduled for 7/3/15. On 7/3/15 a representative called and said that the technician would be late. Once he arrived he charged me $ 150.00 for the battery and installation and $98.50 for the new end bearings. After he left I found out that the same battery cost $20.00 including shipping on Amazon. It took the technician less than 5 minutes to install the battery. Additionally, DGD had coupons on their website for a free service call but the technician didn't charge me one, he just added it into the total so he didn't have to take the coupon.

Excellent service, very professional and courteous. Provided me with 3 options and thoroughly explained all to me. Was able to complete the job within 90 minutes. I was very impressed. Will definitely refer and use again.

The technician was a little late arriving, but we received a call advising us that a previous job was taking longer than expected which we appreciated. Brian was very personable and professional. He quickly found the problem and replaced the safety sensors.

Co. Called right away to schedule. Tech showed up promptly and was polite and seemed thorough. However: The advertised tune up included a door rebalance - which is what I wanted. The tech said he could not/would not rebalance, as the spring was 10 years old and a safety risk to him. I wouldn't want to jeopardize his safety, but I spent $78 to have hi spray in some WD40, which I have already done.

They came and told me what I needed. It was fine and the door works much better now. I was satisfied and I am sure the price is what I would have paid anywhere else or maybe more. I paid more than the Big Deal price. He was very prompt and responded very quickly. They did what they were supposed to do.? The guy was nice too.

They were great. They were very professional and knew what they were doing. They came down very quickly and my door has been working well ever since. They have good quality and he came right away.

We ended up choosing to repair a few more parts than expected. The worker was very nice and he left the area tidy. He was very prompt. He came in and made the diagnosis and explained what's needed to be done. They gave me a lifetime warranty.

I think they took advantage of her by selling her a spring that will last 100,000 cycles. This is something that was not needed. My mother-in-law is over 80 years old, she was not given another option, and did not know better so she went along with what was done. The spring that was sold to her was not necessary for her needs and it seems that she was taken advantage of. She said she felt intimidated.

My garage door stopped working on Saturday morning. Discount Garage Doors was the 2nd company I called. The first one I called told me they wouldn't be able to come out until Tuesday to fix the door, to my pleasant surprise Discount Garage offered to come out THAT MORNING! I called at 9am and they had a tech at my house at 10! I was happy but shocked at the speed of service, especially considering the 4 day turnaround the previous company had offered me! The tech was very friendly and introduced himself and wiped his feet before coming into my house. Once in the garage he knew right away what the problem was with my garage, a broken spring. He went over with me how my door works and why the broken spring was preventing my door from working. He told me he was going to take the springs off to measure them and would give me an estimate before doing any work. After a few minutes he knocked on the door to go over the estimate with me. He showed me bearings on my door that had gone bad and, what I liked most, he took the parts off the door so I could hold them in my hand and see for myself how bad they had gotten. Then he explained what could happen by not replacing them. He also showed me some rollers on my door that were broken and how they were dragging. He was extremely knowledgable and was able to answer every question I had. He gave me multiple quotes on fixing the broken parts on my door. I decided to do the springs and bearings now and call them back at another time for the rollers. I informed him I was an Angies List customer and before I could mention any discount he immediately waived my service fee and fuel charge. Most companies you have to drag a discount out of but he offered it right up at the mention of Angies List. Once I agreed to the work he had my door working in no time! I was extremely happy with how fast the entire process was and that I didn't have to waste half of my Saturday waiting for a company to come out or waiting for a tech to do a long job. He had every part he needed right on his truck and from watching him he obviously knew exactly what he was doing. When he was done he showed me how to maintenance my door to get the longest life out of my parts and left me with a quote for my rollers. While I couldn't afford to get the rollers changed right now, I am DEFINITELY calling them back in the near future to finish the job and would definitely recommend them to anyone in need of a garage door repair.

We were not thrilled with them and it did not go great. I had a problem with their repair so they had to come back a couple of days later. They were going to charge me for another service call. I was unhappy with them so they did not charge for the second service call, but I think they were pulling a fast one.

He said he fixed it.? I?ve used their service before and they?ve not done a good job.? While they did come out quickly I have not been happy with their service. It doesn?t seem like they did anything and the door doesn?t close all the way.? Also the track wasn?t set right.? I will never use their service again.

It took 2 separate appointments to clarify for the sales rep. who was rude (over talking during each conversation) and did not tell me it would takes 2-3 weeks to install. Then when I cancelled I was told it would have to be put in writing which I did . The day after I cancelled the install she called back and suddenly the install could occur within the next few days... Ultimately, I am going with another company that was $300 cheaper so don't be fooled by their name as there is nothing discount about them...

I was impressed that DGD came out the next day when promised. The tech diagnosed my problem and offered three different options as far as repairs and cost. I appreciated his honesty about what I NEEDED and what could wait! Thanks DGD!

Also as advertised left a programed remote control.
