Combs Service - Appliance Repair & Service

Description of Work: Just finishing up on a major kitchen remodel (new cabinets, floor, etc.) The contractor re-installed existing (less than 2 yrs old) dishwasher, new kitchen sink and a new garbage disposal. After the re-install I ran dishwasher to make sure it was working and it seemed OK. Due to remodel, I was still not able to use the kitchen, so the dishwasher was not used after it was reinstalled...contractor very slow in buttoning up the job :-( ( 6 days turned into 3 weeks). When I was finally able to use dishwasher (contractor now gone) I realized it was not drainging. In an attempt to troubleshoot , I pulled out the manual and it appeared that the drain line was not elevated as per the instructions...so I elevated it and tried to drain the diswasher...no luck. Called Combs Service (appliance repair and authorized by dishwasher mfg) to come out and take a look. Thought maybe the pump-out motor was faulty. They came the following day as promised, they were on time and within minutes said the knockout plug on the new disposal where dishwasher drain was hooked up to had not been removed. Took care of it immediately and of course it now drains. He also pulled lower kick plate on dishwasher to inspect unit and noticed that the water supply line had a slow drip (not tightened enough) and he took care of that and at my request, adjusted the refrigerator levelers (door was not swinging closed). All for the price of a service call. Repairman (I think the owner) was very courteous, knowledgeable and thorough. Definitely a good experience! (wish I could say the same for the kitchen remodeler).
