+ 0 moreWe have used Combs Services for 15+ years for a variety of appliance repair and installation. Today they installed a dishwasher for us. They told us what time they would be here, and they were. They were very knowledgeable and professional. The job and clean up were accomplished in just over an hour at the price we were quoted. We will never use anyone in else. Oh, and by the way, they have been in business 43 years, that should tell you something.

+ -1 moreCombs responded within 5 or 6 hours, diagnosed the issue, replaced the part and completed the repair within 30 minutes. Combs fee was very reasonable and well worth it.
Description of Work: On a Friday morning I realized my refrigerator/freezer was no longer cooling. Needless to say I needed to have it serviced same day; waiting until Monday just wasn't an option.

Description of Work: Refrigerator quit working and freezer food was melting. I called in at 8 am and a technician was out and done by 11:00 am. I was very pleased with service and quick response time. He did an excellent job and got us up and running before all the food was lost. Repair cost was reasonable.

+ -1 moreI can't say enough good about this company. They are a company with a heart and saved Christmas for me. It was Friday, two days before the holiday, and I was baking when I heard a sizzle and the stove went dead. I called Comb's. A very pleasant woman said she would see what she could do and would call back. It wasn't fifteen minutes later when she said someone could be there after 2:00. it was now 1:00 and at 3:00 a repairman was at my door. I was in total awe that I had my stove up and running again in two hours. The repairman said they would be working well into the evening getting everyone taken care of so I guess I wasn't the only one staring at a dead stove and wondering what I was going to do about Christmas dinner for an arriving family. Thank you so much Comb's. I am deeply greatful to you.

Description of Work: They fixed one bad part on my fridge, and it ran for a day but then stopped working again. They came back the next day and replaced the second bad part, and only charged me for the part. Fridge is now working fine, and you can count me as a satisfied customer.

+ -1 moreCame out the next morning after call from Kichen Aide for warrenty service on new dishwasher. He was very helpful and knowledgable in general. We had Best Buy service provider here yesterday who had suggested that dishwasher be returned. We called Kichen Aide directly after being told that it would be several weeks to replace. During this service call, he found the problem within five minutes that the Best Buy service people couldn't figure out in an hour. He also fixed icemaker on older fridge while he was here. He had the parts needed with him, and had it fixed quickly. Overall great experience and will be calling them anytime that we need appliance repair.
Description of Work: Provided authorized service for dishwasher, and non-warranty repair of fridge icemaker.

Description of Work: Had a prior provider completely foul up a wiring harness on an LG refrigerator. Getting the right part was a huge hassle. Combs came in, took one look and got the right part installed in two days. Family run firm that knows their business. Would recommend to all.

Description of Work: Our Electrolux refrigerator had gone off just before we got back from vacation. We were able to reset the refrigerator but decided we would still call Comb's and they did come a day later. They told us we needed a certain board and they would order and get back to us. We did not hear from them until a day or so later and they told us the part was on backorder. We were having a problem with the fridge going off 3 or 4 times a day and night. We had to stay home to babysit the refrigerator and we still didn't get the part. We decided to look for the part online. We found it and had it overnighted to us and we called Comb's to tell them we found the part and would they put it in. They said yes but could not put it in for a couple of days. We could not wait any longer so my husband put it in himself. If it was a washer or dryer or something we could do without for a short time that would be a different story. We needed our refrigerator and did not want to lose the food we had in it.

+ -1 moreThe people at Combs were very professional, including the repairman that was sent. After checking the washing machine, he determined that the problem was the timer. However, the cost of the timer was another $125.00 so I decided against having the timer replaced.

Description of Work: Have used Combs Service 3 different times. The first was for our dishwasher. Motor gave out. Replaced with no problem. Next was the ice maker with the refrigerator. Small switch (plastic) gave out. The last thing to go was the microhood. Had to replace a circuit panel. Just under the price for a new microhood. What I like about Combs is they don't charge you for the service until after the job is done. They will also investigate what the part needed will cost and ask if you still want the job finished. Wonderful people to work with. I would recommend them for any service job that has to be done.

Description of Work: Bill arrived on time and did repairs on our dryer and microwave. Our dryer problem was a clogged vent and he had to go onto the roof for the repair. Another company had already been out and said they cleaned the vent. Bill found a filter that was clogged with so much lint that it prevented the flow of air through the vent. The microwave sparked and blew the fuse when we attempted to change out the light bulbs. Not wanting to fool around with this issue we had Bill take a look. He fixed the wires and replaced the bulbs. No more fuses blown. WOW it's so nice to FINALLY find a serviceman who is knowledgeable and actually does what he says. A man of few words Bill is a treasure and we will definitely call him for any further problems with any of our appliances.

+ -1 moreArrived on schedule. Problem explained and dishwasher was checked for problems. No problems found. Technician went on to explain that recent government regulations prohibited addition of phosphates to detergent. This caused the problems I was experiencing. Left copy of newspaper article explaining this problem resulting from the removal of the phosphates. He also recommended an additive for the wash and rinse cycle which would boost cleaning and rinsing efficiency. Took his advice and purchased additives. Dishwasher working perfectly! Yes, I paid for the service call, but I feel a less honest company could have easily claimed there were operational problems and suggested more expensive, unnecessary repairs. Would definitely use them again.
Description of Work: Dishwasher performing extremely poorly. Inadequate cleaning, heavy film on silverware, glasses and plastics. Repairman came on schedule and checked appliance.

Once they fix the problem, it's fixed. Also, they are an honest company. They only want to fix what's broken; not create a new problem so they can get more money out of me. I trust them greatly b/c they have earned my trust.
