Description of Work: Company was the best priced roofing company that we found... AND, they came highly recommended. We had them re-roof our current home, as well as a rental property home. The representative was very professional, and provided copies of the roof starting with them taking off the old shingles and all through the shingling process. The ONLY con was having to wait 6 weeks until they completed other jobs they had already agreed to do. It was worth the wait!!!

Description of Work: DIDN'T USE THEM AS I ONLY NEEDED A REPAIR WHICH THEY OVER BID & THEN CHOSE TO IGNORE ME WHEN I CALLED ASKING THEM TO REDO THE BID. NEVER RETURNED MY CALL SO I THEN EMAILED & NO RESPONSE THERE EITHER. | |THEY COME IN WITH A HIGH BID & IF CUSTOMER DOESN'T ACCEPT IT THEY MOVE ON TO THE NEXT. HAVE HEARD OTHER NEGATIVE COMMENTS ABOUT THEM GOING DOWN HILL FOR THE PAST YEAR. I WAS IN DIRE NEED OF HELP & I FEEL THEY TOOK ADVANTAGE OF ME. I'D CERTAINLY NOT EVER RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE. I SINCE FOUND A REPAIR ROOFER WHO WAS ABLE TO DO THE JOB LOWER THAN 1/3 OF THEIR PRICING. Approximate cost of service $3,000.00.

Description of Work: The salesman Lenny Gonzalez came and gave me an estimate for my roof and I told him I was going to get other estimates before I choose which one to hire and he encouraged me to do that. I hired Alan's Roofing because they had the best price and the salesman sat down with us for 2 hours and explained in detail what the job would be and explained exactly the different quality of shingles and peel and stick tar paper and any other questions we had. The job was done in two days and the quality of work was excellent. They cleaned up my property thoroughly. I did not have to pay anything up front and paid after the roof was inspected, which was approximatly one week later. They also do financing if needed.

Description of Work: I called and spoke with a secretary/receptionist 2 separate times regarding a leaky roof problem and never got a return call from this company. In all fairness, they might do great work, but I felt the least they could have done is to be professional enough to call me back....even to say they're busy and can't help me at the moment.

Description of Work: I'm late in filing this report, not because the job wasn't done correctly, just life happens. I was very satisfied with my salesman, Pat, and the workers that showed up on the job. I bought my home on 11/20/09. I knew when I bought it that the roof was the original roof from 1981 and was in very bad shape. I contracted with Alan's on the day I bought the home because I could not move my belongings into the home until the roof was replaced because it was in very bad shape and I didn't want to take the chance that I would have roof leaks coming into the house and damaging my belongings. Pat was very understanding and immediately applied for the necessary permits and after some weather delays, the work was completed on 12/18/09. The workers were very courteous and they cleaned up after the roof was installed including the nails. They went over the property with a magnet which picked up most of the metal. This was important to me because I have young grandchildren and I was concerned that they would get hurt by hidden nails and staples. Included in the price was gutters, vinyl soffits and my lani roof, which was done by a subcontractor. Again, I had a very good experience with the subcontractor that was sent to do the work. I would recommend Alan's Roofing to anyone.

Description of Work: Company removed old roofing shingles. Renailed all existing OSP with new larger nails. Installed new felt, metal valleys and vent pipes and outlets. Installed new shingles. All work was completed in accordance with legal codes and inspected by Hernando County Building Inspector. All old shingles and debris collected and disposed of by company. Surveyed the grounds for debris and ran rollers with strong magnets to pick up any metal debris like nails, screws, bolts etc.

Description of Work: Company does work in Orlando. This was work on my second home at 12113 Florida Woods Lane, Orlando, FL 32828. They removed and replaced the entire roof with paper and shingles. They also needed to replace one sheet of wood.
