Description of Work: Took up a 750 sq foot existing poorly laid and glued bamboo hardwood floor and laid a tile floor in its place.

Description of Work: Janos installed engineered hardwood floors in our entire 1250 sq. ft home. He is a true professional. He told us he had done this type of work in Manhattan for 14 years and TRUST ME it shows. His attention to detail, honesty and great attitude was such a pleasure to work with. Description of Work: Wood laminate flooring installed throughout 4 room condo (~850 sq ft). Removed & disposed of existing carpet.

Description of Work: I contacted Mr Kovacs, the owner, for an estimate or solution regarding a repair. He reacted immediately suggested a solution that does not involve him and graciously declined my offer to cover his time & costs. I intend working with this installer when next I have the opportunity to do so.

Description of Work: Janos, the owner, came, gave me an estimate, the approximate date to start, which was October 2, and he arrived exactly 9am as stated. The work that I had requested was to have the bathroom flooring taken up where there was a "soft" spot due to a leak from the water tank and replace with new base flooring. New backer board was applied over the complete bathroom flooring and then tile that I had was put down and all finished base boards were replace that had been taken up to remove the orginal flooring. Janos, was completely finished with the job in two days. I highly recommend Janos, and must say that he was very professional in every aspect of the job.

Description of Work: Home Sweet Improvements installed 20" squares, set diagonally. I supplied all the materials, and HSI performed the labor. I had the room vacant, prepped and ready to start. They applied thin-set to the floor and also back-buttered every tile. No hollow spots here at all.

Description of Work: Cork flooring installed in master bedroom. Janos removed furniture, base boards, and was very careful with everything. He cleaned up, but everything back in place when done. Great job!

Description of Work: Wallpaper Removal and Painting, Bathroom Remodel, Carpentry work to remove wall in kitchen, cabinet installation, complete interior framing and finishing of room in outbuilding.

Description of Work: They had to finish ripping up old tile, carpet, and vinyl. They laid ceramic tile that looked like wood planks. They worked very good together, was extremely friendly, didnt mind that i had four dogs at the time, and completed the job better than I could have expected. They were always on time, they worked long days, and they cleaned up after themselves each day. I could not have picked someone better to do the job. I will use them when i tile my patio in the future, and will recommend them to every person i know that may be interested in flooring. Their work was super. Best there could be.

Description of Work: Mr. Kovacs arrived promptly to complete an estimate for replacing carpet in 3 bedrooms and hallway. He brought several samples of new flooring options that would be within my price range. I was very happy that he didn't try to sell me on any high-priced flooring options that I could not afford. He presented himself professionally yet was very personable. An estimate was provided before he left my home unlike some other companies who say they will provide an estimate via email or mail and never do so.

Description of Work: In checking for repair workers and/or companies on bathroom and shower tile, I found SWEET HOME IMPROVEMENTS LLC, along with three other businesses dealing with tile repair. Of the other three phone numbers, one number "was no longer in use" and two didn't answer their phones. When I called SWEET HOME, the owner (Janos Kovacs) answered and after explaining my problems, he said he would stop by within two hours, which he did. After checking my problems, I was given an estimate of "between" $1,000 - $1,500. Reason for the ranging estimate was because he would have to take up some of the floor in order to see just how serious the problem(s) were. The day was a Wednesday and Mr. Kovacs offered to start on Saturday or Monday. He also agreed to keep me informed of the cost factor as he went along. I told him that Monday would be fine and he showed up at 9:00 AM on Monday and the job was completely finished by Wednesday about noon. The total bill came to $1,000 including a new sliding shower door and installation of a safety bar. I was very surprised and very pleased with the total bill along with the way Mr. Kovacs did the job as well as cleaned up the repaired area before leaving. Description of Work: Professional, friendly, efficient, reasonable and speedy installation of tile in a 11x12 room. Cut tile in garage and cleaned up garage and room after completion. No dust or mess left behind. We couldn't have been happier with Sweet Home Improvements and Janos and would not hesitate to use them if we ever needed any other kind of flooring done.
