I honestly wasn't sure that I needed a professional inspection for a condo built in 2008 until I hired Mark at Waypoint and received his detailed report. Fortunately for me there were no major issues, but I learned that there is a huge difference between bringing a (knowledgeable) friend/builder along and/or hiring a professional inspector. The report i received was detailed, informative and backed up with photos and comments. Fantastic proof to have if I ever need to bring up an issue. It was well worth the money and provided great peace of mind. I don't have another inspection to compare Mark's work to, but I certainly have no reason to look elsewhere in the future. Highly recommended.

Wind mitigation Mark inspected our home in April of 2012. And now we did the hurricane shutters and all that's necessary to reduce premium. Mark is his word and keeps his promise. You can't go wrong in having him on your team.

It was awesome. He was awesome. He did an amazing job. He was right on time and completed the inspection and in one day, we had all the paper work back from him. He was really, really good. HE gave a complete and full report. It was very detailed, it was a wonderful report; it was perfect. I would recommend this company. He was great; we really liked him.

My parents placed an offer on a home. They only had seven days to have a home inspection and be able to pull out of the contract if there were any issues. We did our research, called different companies, and found out what qualifies a company as good - it is licensed, carries errors and omission insurance, has national trade affiliations and memberships, provides detailed reports, etc. First of all, most of the companies could not set up an appointment within the timeframe we needed (and did not honor there immediate service advertisements). Though Waypoint did not initially have an appointment available for us, due to the urgency of the situation they were able to squeeze us. Despite "squeezing" us in, James, the inspector, did not rush through the job. He conducted a thorough inspection of the home that took a few hours - walking around the attic, climbing up on the roof, etc. He was knowledgeable and helpful - giving us suggestions as to what could be done in order to protect the home even further, telling us about the additional FREE benefits offered by Waypoint such as a 90 day Warranty, RecallCheck, RecallTrak and Homeowners Network, etc. Waypoint advertised a full report in 24 hours but we had it by that afternoon. Going to their website, one can see the transparency of the company which greatly enhances their credibility. I value their opinion and advice; I would use them again and I highly recommend them to others.

Mark was on time in both instances. He was completely professional and thorough. He seemed to put our interests first, providing helpful advice whenever possible. I am totally satisfied with this company. I was selling my current home and Waypoint was hired by the purchaser to perform the inspection. James Amend did the inspection and I observed and spoke with him during it. I was so impressed with his knowledge, professionalism, and courteousness during this call that I decided I wanted to use him for my upcoming inspection when I found a home I wanted. Well, I found that home, so I called Waypoint and scheduled an inspection, requesting James. The staff I spoke with were very courteous and helpful in determining the services I would need. And when I needed to change the time of the call later that day, they were more than helpful in making that work. On inspection day, James arrived right on time and I was not disappointed. He performed a very thorough inspection and covered off on everything (and more) that I needed to know. Then, speaking with him after the inspection and reviewing the detailed report provided by him and this company, I feel very comfortable with my decision to move forward with the purchase of a home I love. The inspector was thorough, professional, and friendly. He answered any questions I had and thanks to his thorough notes, I was able to cancel on a contract that I was having second thoughts about. I will be using them in the future. I think the price is fair for the service. Word of advice, always accompany the inspector on inspection day. The gentleman that did my home inspection answered all of my questions and concerns. They encourage that and you may learn a lot especially if a first time homeowner.

I booked the inspection via Waypoints site, which was a very easy process. The only appointment time showing was for 8am on the Saturday morning. I was very quickly called back by Angel to confirm and was able to change the appointment time to 10am without any problems. The only downside was that the termite inspection was not available to book for Saturdays. Despite me being 5 minutes late I was very happy to find that the inspector, James Armend, had already arrived and completed the outside inspection. James was very friendly, professional and diligent who provided a very comprehensive report on the condition of all aspects of the house highlighting a number of, thankfully, small issues that needed fixing. James was able and willing to answer all my questions and concerns. As part of the Inspection, Waypoint provide free membership for a year to the Home Owners Network. I have not reviewed fully what this membership provides but it seems quite a useful resource portal for all things household. I give Waypoint and James Amend A marks all the way through for a hassle free, and for me, educational experience. I would not hesitate in recommending this company to anyone.

I have used Waypoint twice in the last 2 months for home inspections while searching for my next home. The first time in February, I had the pleasure of dealing with James who was very thorough and took time to explain everything to me. He was the kind of guy you can easily get a long with, but clearly a hard worker (no shortcuts!) James was great! He pointed out things i never would have noticed. Like stoppers for the gutters, broken sprinklers, everything! Thanks James! Then when I called back in March for another inspection, I was scheduled with Mark the owner. All I can see is that I was impressed again by the level of service this company delivers. Mark is a great guy, with a super friendly demeanor. He has been doing this for a while, but does not cut corners. As soon as I showed up, he was hard at work, checking the exterior of the home. We engaged in friendly conversation, but this did not slow Mark down. He kept checking every detail of the home while speaking to me about his knowledge of the area and his business. Later that evening, I received a link to my full detailed inspection. These guys are on top of their game, everything is digital and quick! To top it off, Mark alerted me to the fact that I needed the seller to provide some documentation for him to revise the wind mitigation. I passed it on to him, he revised the inspection and sent it back to me within a day! Now thats fast. Hats off to Mark and James at Waypoint inspection, I will not use another inspection company. They are #1 in their field.

Can't say enough positive things about Waypoint. They were able to accommodate our tight deadline with a quick appointment. James, who did the inspection was very thorough and a pleasure to work with. He was almost apologetic in finding such small things wrong with the house and declaring it "move in condition."

The guys that came out were great. Very friendly and early for the appointment. They not only came up with a list of everything that was wrong with the residence, but also pointed out everything when we walked around and gave suggestions about how to fix it. When calling for home owner's insurance and sending them the wind mitigation, I heard several comments about how they've never seen such a nice format for the information. Very easy to read, especially for a first time home buyer like myself, who had no idea what they were originally reading. :-) Will definitely be using them again in the future.

We had an awful experience with this inspector. The very unprofessional service we received left us scrambling to find another inspector within a day in a very tight 7 day inspection period. And the worst part? We asked for the inspector to give us a call back and he never even bothered (he did not know we found another inspector). Stay very far away from this business. Buyer beware. In regards to Waypoint's response to this review: First, we used YOUR online booking system to book the appointment which showed you as available. This was also confirmed by your secretary and we had a scheduled appointment. And second, even after you cancelled leaving us in a very bad situation (we told you about the dates and the fact that there were tenants prior to inspection), you did not even take the time to call us back. I had requested a call to ask what happened. Obviously your "sorry" is just for the other Angie's List members to see so that you can save your reputation... Instead of giving excuses sometimes it's better to take ownership of the fact that you double booked and made a mistake. This just further highlights why not to use this company...

I contacted this company along with several others to get a quote for a home inspection. After receiving the quote I called several other places to price shop. I then called back Waypoint to schedule since they were the lowest priced. When I called the second time I was told the price was $100 more than I was originally quoted. Needless to say, I did not use them.

Mark and James came to my new house for a home inspection. They were both on time very professional very easy to talk to an overall it was a great experience working with them they are very knowledgeable and professional and it was great doing business with them

We had used this company before for a general home inspection. Again, they were prompt and professional. They answered all of my questions and provided the necessary report that was accepted by the insurance company. I would continue to use them in the future.

Great job! My only critique would be that they do not give hard copies of the inspection reports. They are emailed and have to be printed by the customer. I would recommend continuing with the email, but if a hard copy is requested, it should be mailed.

I was very impressed with Mark and his staff. They arrived on time, were very thorough and efficient, friendly and professional. Every interaction with his office staff over the phone was professional and courteous. I was very pleased when Mark went the extra mile. Even though I initially did not ask for a wind mitigation inspection, he told me that he had taken down enough information and pictures that if I needed one, he could provide me with it. And wouldn't you know, I did, as the one provided by the HOA was a few months too old and they could not complete a new one in time for me to obtain my condo insurance. I was pleased that I wasn't pressured into buying something that at the time, I wasn't sure that I needed. I also thought Mark did a great job explaining the issue about the electrical wiring from the meter to the circuit breaker panel. He explained what the issue was, what my options were for remediation (and the type of tradesman that could perform the work), and put the issue into perspective taking into consideration the type of appliances and size of the unit. I will not hesitate to have Mark and his team inspect any future home I decide to purchase. Kudos for a job well done.

Mark and his assistant, James, did the most thorough home inspection I have ever seen. They were professional, answered all my questions and made suggestions. I felt that my job was being handled by a master. They guarantee their work for 90 days and also have an application for something called the Home Owners Network, which offers live technical consults on a myriad of problems. They also update you on recalls that may affect your appliances. My experience could not have been better.

I know that this is very late to put out a review. I had them inspect the house while I was in NY and did not move into the house until mid 2013. The inspection of the electrical was a joke. One outlet not only did not work, but there was no electrical wire to the outlet. Other outlets spark at times and others are very loose. They will say that they couldn't check all because of furniture. There was nothing by these outlets........ The A/C had no filter. The disposal unit did not work. There is no GFI in the master bathroom after the report says that they are in all bathrooms. The reason the first review was very good was that we haven't move in yet and THEY GIVE YOU 25.00 OFF THE PRICE IF YOU GIVE THEM A GOOD REVIEW.
