Mark arrived on time and proceeded through the inspection. He answered my questions and was very personable. The report was sent via email and was very detailed and complete.

The inspector was very cordial, responsive when we first called to make an appointment, and prompt in keeping the appointment and providing the promised reports. However, a major defect was missed, that I think should not have been found by the inspector. So, regardless of an ancillary behavior, the discover of a defect two days after I closed on the house negates the personal qualities of the inspector.

The inspection took more than two hours, and Mark was very comfortable having an engineer/owner follow him around from room to rooom, grounds to roof. He also provided value judgements on grey areas and economical solutions.

I am currently in the process of closing on a home and was looking for a quality inspector to further put my mind at ease regarding my new investment. Thankfully I found Mark Wahl and could not be happier with the quality of work performed. From start to finish, Mark was professional, polite and extremely helpful in answering all of my questions. I personally shadowed Mark throughout the inspection (2 hours) and am very appreciative of his attention to detail and willingness to describe exactly what he was doing so I could better understand the process. We were in a bit of a rush to close on a great property. Mark was great working with our limited schedule. His on line appointment setting page and the on line application were very easy to use and very effective in saving time. We had the written inspection emailed to us in a matter of hours. Mark was professional and courteous. I appreciated all the tips he provided to remediate some of the issues he observed while he inspected the entire house. The report was provided the same day and consisted of about 50 pages with pictures and details on the issues found from the inspection. For the most part, he seemed thorough even though I was surprised that he did not go into the attic and chose instead to just take a peak inside the attic. The main issue was that he missed a major water leak repair in the roof on one of the bedrooms. I can see how the untrained eye would miss this since it was already patched and painted. But if you look directly at it, you can see the area where they patched it as it is a different texture from the rest of the ceiling. Also, the walls around that area had some cracked paint which is a typical indication of moisture running down the wall. This is the type of problem I would expect a home inspector to be on the lookout for and find. Maybe he would have been able to spot the roof repair if he went into the attic.

Mark was able to accommodate my busy schedule. We were able to set up an appointment within a week. He arrived promptly to our home the morning of the inspection. He was very pleasant, professional and very informative. He thoroughly explained everything he was doing as the inspection progressed. We were provided a copy of the inspection report the next evening. The report was thorough and clear to understand. I would recommend this company to close family and friends.

Mark did a great job. The $525 included a wind mitigation study and termite inspection. Mark brought a qualified roofer to inspect the roof and termite specialist in inspect the house for termites. Mark's inspection report was very detailed and easy to understand. I would definitely use him again and would recommend him to anybody needing a home inspection.

Mark was very helpful when I contacted him, he was able to accomadate a next day appointment. He arrived on time and was pleasant with my clients. He made sure that all of their questions and concerns where answered. His report was complete and he gave my buyers some good advice with the minor things that needed to be resolved. Service was schedule easily and performed promptly. I believe the inspection was well done, covered the critical features of the home, and was very professional. There is only one item that would have been really nice, but probably wasn't "required" by the home inspection. * The washer/dryer were included with the house, same as other appliances. However, the W/D were not identified in the inspection by make/model. The previous owners swapped them out with inferior machines after the inspection but before closing, which led to some interesting discussions during closing (especially without pictures). Having this information--or even a picture of the appliances themselves--would have been helpful. This type of service would probably be considered beyond the "requirements" of a normal home inspection, but it would be a great value add. (Tip to others buying a house: If the inspector doesn't take pictures of your appliances, then make sure you do so well before closing--I'd recommend you do so when you write the offer. With digital cameras and smartphones, it can really save a lot of headache later.) Overall, I was satisfied with the quality of the inspection and would recommend Waypoint. For the third-party pest service, Waypoint hired a local pest service (not one of the "big boys") to help support other small businesses in the area.

Everything was seamless, efficient and well done from start to finish from making the appointment, the actual inspection and the detailed 39 page report with photos emailed the very next day. Highly recommended.

He does a great job everytime

Mark Wahl was professional in every respect. He arrived right on time, and was courteous and well-organized throughout the inspection process. He was most pleasant and clearly experienced and knowledgable.

Mark Wahl is perhaps the best home inspector I have encountered. The 38 page report we received is the most detailed, complete report I have seen. Our Realtor was also impressed, and will recommend Mark. The saying goes, "you get what you pay for"... In this case, it could not be more true. Waypoint is not cheap, probably more than most other inspectors. That being said, their service is worth We have just hired them to perform an inspection on a home we are SELLING...the inspection performed by the Buyer's inspector has raised some questions, so we are having a second opinion at our cost. It was an easy decision to call Mark. He even gave me a discount becauseevery penny, and then some.

All went well and I'm happy to get it done so rapidly.

Mark was early and completed his inspection in a friendly and thorough manner. He also completed the inspection report quickly, although not as quickly as he originally stated. I would suggest that he allow himself a few days - I would not have expected 24 hour turnaround until he told me that is what he would do! All in all a very good experience. Thanks to Angie's List for bringing Mark to my attention, and thanks to Mark for doing a thorough and complete job. I would not hesitate to call him again if I needed another inspection and I would not hesitate to recommend him to others.

Home Inspection:We hired Mark based on excellent reviews on Angie's list. He was very nice and informative. The home we were purchasing had numerous renovations and very nicely done on surface, and overall, not a bad job. Mark was timely and his report electronic and easy to read. However, cookie cutter.Mark's inspection was also surface only. He failed to look at our air handlers/ac coils or filters, which were clearly clogged with debris (although ac was still running cold due to new/high quality compressors -- being jeopardized by clogged ac coils).Because of Mark's lack of basic inspection item, and preference for talking to his customer, we paid $1500 for his oversight. Had to have coils acid bathed and reinstalled -- something we should have been able to have deducted from home cost.Mark's a great guy, but he ought not miss such basic items. Happy with our house overall, but would not recommend Waypoint.

Good Price, very fast response, very friendly.But....Inspection was made too fast and too superficial. After I purchased the house, found deficiencies that were not written in the report.Founded leaks under sinks, broken weather strips, cracked door frames, light switches inoperable. Alarm disconnected etc.Termite inspection was not accurate. I found pieces of wood in the garage with ants and termites. Had to contract a exterminating company.

The entire process was very simple. I contacted Mark through Angie's list. He responded the same day (on a Sunday from the golf course, no less!). He quickly went over how his service worked. He offered to coordinate the additional inspections, but there was absolutely no pressure to use them. However, the fact that he was willing to coordinate so that all the inspections could be done and paid together made the process very smooth. We scheduled the inspection for two days later. The whole team showed up and immediately went to work. Everyone was very professional and thorough. The septic and termite inspectors both took time to go over their findings with me, ask if I had any questions and offered up some advice on how to address some of the minor issues. Mark was incredibly thorough. His inspection took a couple of hours. He made sure that he pointed certain things out to me and how they would appear in his report. He was also very informative and gave a lot of advice on how some of the issues could be easily fixed by me. Then, the same evening we had a 60 page report complete with pictures and thorough descriptions of his findings. Dos: Use Mark. Use his references for other inspections. Ask him for recommendations or referrals for other services (he keeps his reputation immaculate and I doubt he would refer anybody that wasn't the same). Don'ts: Don't show up late. Mark is quick to respond and is punctual and should be treated with the same courtesy. Don't show up unprepared. Mark makes the paperwork very easy, so take the time to complete it prior to the inspection. Don't delay paying. Mark had my results the same day - I think he should be paid just as promptly. Don't be a jerk - Mark is about as easy going and friendly as you could hope anyone would be so don't take it out on him if his inspection reveals something you don't like. Buying or refinancing a home is stressful enough. I'm glad that Mark made these inspections pleasant and informative.

As a Realtor/Buyer I had an overall excellent experience with Mark , he was very punctual, early as a matter of fact. Very easy going and great to talk to... I am not happy with the service. I closed the house and now I am finding that one of the AC unit does not cool. It runs but does not cool. I am disappointed that's a basic check. Also Mark did not give the estimates of the issues identified, I had to hire another General contractor to give the estimates on the issues identified to present it to the seller.
