The inspection was thorough, performed without causing current homeowners any angst and the report was delivered to my email address the very next day.

Mark was punctual, and was at the house (we were purchasing) for several hours testing everything. Another gentleman was performing Termite inspection simultaneously. Overall, thought he did a very good job with an extremely comprehensive report provided afterwards that included pictures. We'd use his services again.

Mike Wahl arrived minutes before we did and immediately began his inspection. He checked the roof, he checked the outside, he checked the inside, he checked all the appliances and everything you can possibly imagine for this 2/2 condo. I received , via e-mail, his inspection report this morning. It certainly was complete and with recommendations.

Mark was very friendly, punctual, showed up on time, even came back on a new day when half the inspection couldn't be completed because the electricity and water was not turned on for the initial inspection. He spent all the time I would expect doing the inspection, seemed to look everywhere he should. He missed one thing that I pointed out to him and he added it to the report. Update: Now that I bought the house 2 weeks later I had an HVAC guy come and inspect my AC Units, one of them had incredibly rusty coils that when showed to me was blatantly obvious, and I was told I would be lucky if I get a year before I have to replace the coils, a $900 job. There was a metal strip under a French door that was rusted badly and I was told it was just "cosmetic", when I had a few contractors look at it they all told me it was a huge job since the strip runs under the door frame and into the stucco on each end, and the entire frame would have to be removed to repair, a job costing THOUSANDS, not a minor repair. Is it the inspectors job to be able to recognize the difference between a minor and a major repair like this? I would think so, as this and the rusty air handler coils would have been a deal breaker on most home purchases or easily have changed the offer price. So since he missed 1 thing I pointed out during the inspection, and these two surprises after, I would NOT recommend him to friends and family. Nice guy, but job was not done correctly. In response to his response, the coils are visible without opening unit from underneath where the filter goes. He also missed a leaky rusty pipe in the garage which he would have seen if he would have moved a box that was placed next to the wall by the previous owner probably on purpose. Going to cost me some if they ever find where it's leaking into. There were a few other issues with the house as the cracks he missed on the other side of the house actually wrap all the way around at 3 foot intervals which I'm told is a big deal.

I found WayPoint Inspection on Angie's List and gave Mark a call. He promptly returned it. We had no problems scheduling the inspection AND getting the termite inspector there at the same time. We were there with Mark for the inspection, and he gave us all the answers to our immediate questions about the home's condition. His full written report covered EVERYTHING.

After hiring an initial inspection company for a 4point inspection, I discovered that that was not enough. I knew they had not done a thorough job, nor did they offer to do so. So, I seeed out Mark at Waypoint, who was very helpful and save me money on discovering damage to a roof that desperately need repair. He was also helpful later when my home insurance agent needed updates and explanations. I felt I had a friend in my corner and I would recommend him to anyone.

The reports were extremely helpful as were the explanations Mark provided to me during a follow-on conversation. Also, my realtor who was present during the inspection, was extremely impressed by the thoroughness and expertise of all three inspectors.

Inspector arrived a few minutes early. He performed a thorough inspection of the interior and exterior of the home. He pointed out that a pan should be placed under theaging, but intact water heater so that leaks could be readily detected. He answered several questions. He was immensely pleasant and knowledgeable and efficient. Within 10 ours of the inspection, I received a comprehensive written report illustrated with clear color photos.

Mark was very professional and friendly from the first phone call. We scheduled an appointment right away. He also helped me find a termite inspector and scheduled the appointment for me on the same day. The person he recommended was also very friendly and professional. Mark sent me the full reports the same afternoon as promised. I realized I needed another report for the insurance company the next morning. I had it by that afternoon. He was very responsive and professional. The reports were very detailed and I feel I got my money's worth. I would recommend Mark to anyone who needs a home inspection.

I live in Maryland and am purchasing a townhouse in WPB for when I move there next summer. So all of the arrangements were made via email and phone call. My mother was able to be there for the inspection, and she just raved about Mark!

I was early and was pleased to find the inspector early as well. He started with the electric panel then moved indoors to check out the A/C and water heater and other things. He then checked out the exterior, took pictures, and then explained how soon he would get back with me with the finished product. It was that evening via email, colored photos and all else needed for my insurance agent. It was all good.

Mark at Waypoint, from the very first email to the final conversation a month after the inspection (Citizen's wanted some more information) was quick to respond, answered all my questions, and did a great job. He also was able to coordinate the wind mitigation and termite inspections so we only had to make one trip to the house. On a related point, the termite guy he brought in was excellent as well.
