Direct Air Conditioning & Refrigeration

The installation crew was professional, prompt and experienced. They did an excellent job and cleaned up after themselves thoroughly. I was able to purchase a $500 credit towards the purchase for $300 through Angie's List, which really helped keep the cost reasonable. They also included replacing the board the air handler sat on and also removed, then re-insulated the intake vent area. They sealed everything to reduce the chance of mold. I would highly recommend their services!

After reading the reply from Direct AC, I have come to the realization the my previous review of their service was inaccurate and totally unfair. Please replace my previous review with the following evaluation. I must agree with their refusal to perform the work in order to avoid damage to the ceiling which would have happened had the vents been removed. However, had I been made aware of the "glued vent policy" in advance, I could have cancelled or had my handyman try to remove them. The technician was thoroughly professional and willing. He did however, tell me that the service consisted of cleaning the first six feet of so of the vent passage and that "no one" cleaned back to the coil. If this is so, you are really not accomplishing much by just cleaning the first six feet of dirt from the tubes. Too say the least, I was very disappointed and took it out in my previous review for which I apologize. My rating of Direct Air is and "A"

They are really good and I would recommend them. They are very friendly and professional. They did a good job with the installation and the service.

My air had been out just overnight and I called first thing the next morning. Worst time of year for your air to quit working. Manny Amador came in the early afternoon and worked several hours on my air conditioning unit. He was very professional and very respectful of my property. I am very happy with this entire experience and I certainly will continue using Direct Air as my service provider. As far as the cost of the repair, I graded a B because I have no idea what the cost should be.

Manny at DirectAir is a godsend. Does this sound dramatic? Perhaps but by the time I found DirectAir I was just about ready to literally walk away from my home because I had been ripped off by general contractors having already invested thousands I could not afford to lose. I was now without air conditioning for a week living in 93 degree temperatures with all the windows open. I was miserable, depressed and hating my living environment not knowing where to turn because all other A/C companies were quoting me outrageous prices I simply could not afford. Manny came out and walked me through the state that the contractors have OBVIOUSLY left me in and what it would take to fix not really knowing what mess was beyond what he was seeing. The next day two installers showed up promptly and professionally (Lander and Wilmer). Compared to the clowns I had been dealing with these guys were five star all the way. The cleaned after themselves, were not in and out of my refrigerator, they did not fall through my ceiling in various locations. THEY WERE AWESOME!!!! I KNOW MANNY COULD HAVE EASILY CHARGED ME DOUBLE FOR WHAT THEY DID but I believe he saw my desparation and took pity on me. Whatever it was THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU. I will never use anyone else for my cooling and heating needs as I am EXTREMELY GRATEFUL for them pulling me out of what could have literally been life-changing events! Thank you DirectAir. We hired this company to clean our air ducts, they did an excellent job. Then we were having an issue with our dryer and hired them to clean the vent, this did not go well and we incurred additional charges to get a dryer that worked properly. We called Manny, the manager, and he gave us our money back on the dryer cleaning and gave us a $300 credit toward additional services with a 2 year free maintenance contract. He was very professional and fair and we would use them again!!

It went very well. The service was very good. I requested that they sent out a tech that had been with the company for a while and they sent a manager and I appreciated that.

They were excellent and I will have them back definately.

They could not do the job because the air ducts were attached to the ceiling.

I requested a service call to learn all I could about my air handler (just moved into this home) and to see what options I had to quite the system down. Luis Garcia, the Service Tech, called to let me know when he was coming, he arrived on-time, was very professional, answered ALL of my questions, gave me several options to resolve my issues, and left me knowing all I wanted to know about my A/C system. YES, definitely would use Direct Air again.

mr. L Garcia the service tech was very professional, and informative. called before he came and showed up on time . he even changed the filter and the batteries in the thermostat.

The two technicians arrived as per appointment and did a very good job extracting airborne particles from the air-conditioning vents. Standard procedure. A powerful vacuum device was attached to the duct system and the task was completed. The technicians were very friendly and helpful. I would recommend them again for this. We also discussed the purchase of a new air-conditioner in the near future, as my current unit is about fifteen years old. This company only sells Trane brand units, a bit extravagant for my home, so is not a good fit. But if a customer strongly wanted a Trane, I would certainly recommend giving Direct Air Conditioning and Refrigeration a call..

I had purchased a big deal and it turned out okay. They said that the deal was one system with up to 35 vents, and my system had only 3 vents. I was in charge o contacting them and scheduling an appointment within 45 days. They were friendly guys. They were professional and very nice. He was supposed to get back to me on something else for my business, and he didn't. The price was fair under normal circumstances, but I got only 3 vents.There happens to be somebody in my home with cancer and so I wanted to make sure the system was clear and there were no toxins. They blew out 3 AC vents, and it seems like there was more paint in there then dust.

They seemed to do the job. but hurried so fast that I could see that they missed quite a bit. They also did not sanitize. Having never cleaned the vents in 25 years (and I have always had 2 dogs) they removed, maybe, 1 lb of dirt.

They removed return and supply vents, and cleaned inside with a special vacuum. They also performed a A/C inspection. Job was expertly done.

I recently purchased my new home and when it was inspected I was told to have my unit cleaned and tuned. When I purchased this service I thought I was buying a cleaning and tune up for my air-conditioning unit at a really good price of $39.00. This service was advertised that the normal price of this service would be around $180.00. The technician came into my new house that we have not moved into yet and ?inspected? the inside and out and even crawled up into my attic just to hand me a bill of approx $1500 to fix all of the problems that I had. He then proceeded to try to sell me a new unit for $5200 and said I should not put any money into my 15 year old Rheem system. I let him know that I just had the place inspected and had no issues and was told to have the unit cleaned. He proceeded to tell me inspectors often do not do a good inspection job with A/C units. Needless to say but I obtained a second opinion. This new company came out and did a thorough inspection and stated that my unit was dirty but does not need to be replaced. They cleaned it and tuned it for $550 and said to make sure I have an annual service on the unit due to the age. Do not use this company. It was a total rip off. I am just thankful I was only out $39.00.

All went very well. Luis was prompt, efficient, pleasant and courteous. The entire process was very easy.

After all the explanation by Mr. Garcia, I decided on replacing the unit. I was given the option of paying for it with a 5 yr. payment plan with no interest if paid off in the five yrs. That is another reason I would recommend this company. On Saturday, 12-6-'14, Mr. Garcia and 2 other employees came to replace my unit. Both the other employees arrived promptly & also were very professional and friendly. They continued working for several hours that it took to replace the unit. They had to intermittently climb a tall ladder to my roof, but did so with ease & safety. After the job was completed, they cleaned up all the debris left over. An excellent job done by all of the employees. I would definitely recommend Direct Air to anyone who needs A/C service.

When they came they found a much bigger problem than I thought I had.

One of their supervisors, Luis Garcia, is outstanding. He went way above and beyond the call of duty. Our home will have much better air quality when he’s finished. We initially bought a deal and we have since entered into an annual contract with them. He was able to show us photos of our ducts with his iPad. We are now doing extensive cleaning and repairs that will continue to improve the air quality in our home.

They were terrific, on time and even drove back in the evening to resolve an issue. The house a/c is nicely balanced and consistent and all the vents cleaned.
