Description of Work: Supposed to be a tune up and inspection. This is just a scam to sell you work and services. Nothing was serviced, the tech closed my unit up without replacing the filter he removed. A few days later I received an estimate for work needed on my unit that ranged from 4K to replace blower motor, lift the unit onto a new metal base, and a UV light installed. 6k to install a new 3ton unit.

We are really sorry that you feel that way. However it is not a scam. YOU had a NON-FUNCTIONAL system at the time of arrival and you purchased a special for FUNCTIONAL systems only for $39.95. That special would provide you with a 27-Point AC INSPECTION. Our technician provided you the courtesy of diagnosing the problem for you (over 2 hours) out of courtesy to you. On a signed invoice you were made aware (AND AGREED) that your system as improperly installed (by another company) and that was the primary reason for problems. During our visit the VERY DIRTY air filter was not replaced at the time of the inspection because it was advised, due to the conditions and dirtiness of the evaporator coils, that the system should not have one put in until it was cleaned out. The dirty air filter was removed. You were provided SEVERAL options to rectify the problem in which you chose to decline. All of these items were documented on our work order that was signed by you. Also noted, is the fact that the indoor unit had been tampered with by an unlicensed company or even by the homeowner herself. Proof of this is in the photos taken at the time , in the over 2 hours we were there. At the time the photos showed us that the system had been tried to be repaired with everyday household items such as duct tape, aluminum foil, scotch tape, etc.., to try to stop the system from leaking water. At the time of the visit the homeowner was simply advised to either fix the problem or remove the indoor unit and properly install it UP TO CODE. The system was not up to code by any means. All accessories (UV lights / Air Purifiers) were REQUESTED by the homeowner due to the poor air quality in the home. A system replacement was provided upon the homeowners REQUEST. Again, we do apologies for any inconveniences you may have been through but for $39.95 that YOU PURCHASED you got a great deal. At the very [Member Information Removed] it did not warrant a "D" rating. If we are simply providing you solutions for your AC problems and you choose to address them by other means, that is perfectly fine. But to say what you said in the "work description" and grade us so harshly for a simple AC inspection seems very unreasonable. Let us know if there is anything we can do for you.

They did an excellent job. They were very careful to not make a mess when performing the service and were very knowledgeable when answering all of my A/C questions.

Great group of techs. Jose and his group are experts in installation and they cleaned up afterwards. Very quick process-- had an estimate on Saturday, agreed to price on Sunday, installed on Wednesday. Highly recommend Direct Air!

The Direct Air team was very professional and very focused on getting the job done. Our installation required a tech savvy team member, so the two primary installers were assisted by Luis who handled setting the communicating thermostat, getting us logged in with our mobile devices (pass codes, downloads, etc.), and showing us how to use the Nexia system. The two installers did a fine job with the removal of the old unit and the installation of the new compressor and air handler, which is located in our garage. They were very neat and cleaned up the work area nicely. Only negative (and very minor at that) was that they got off to a late start without much explanation.
Description of Work: Removed old AC compressor and air handler and installed new 5 ton Trane unit; cleaned air ducts inside home.

I dealt with Manny Amador and he came to my home to a**** the work required to do the work. He was very patient and gave me three different estimates for three different models. He detailed all the rebates, discounts and financing available to me and I went with the highest model XVi20. The crew arrived on time on the day of the install. They were three young men, very professional and efficient in their work. Right away they set about to dismantle the old system and replace it with the new system. The whole project took just under seven hours. They cleaned all the AC vents in the house and when they were done in the garage, they cleaned and swept the work area. They also moved back all of my boxes to their proper place. I would highly recommend Direct Air to all my friends in family.
