Description of Work: He came out and looked at the job and gave me a price. We agreed to do the job in 3 weeks. The 1st of June, I called him to confirm that he was going to do the work, and he said he couldn't do it. He took a 25% deposit and took 3 weeks out of my time where I could have hired someone else to do the work. He stated about a week ago that he would return my deposit, but I have not heard back from him yet. I am a snowbird and I have to return up north and do not have time to get the job done.

Description of Work: Randy redid our shower, tiled the entire house, was responsive even though we made several changes during the project, came back at no charge when we had a small problem with one of the tiles and replaced it. Overall excellent service, would use again or recommend to another.

Description of Work: Contractor installed glass tile backsplash in my kitchen, we furnished the tile. Overall a good and professional job. I had been a contractor for many years and am now retired. I had encountered many sloppy trades people since moving to florida about 2 1/2 yrs ago and have learned I needed to be on top of most of them from the beginning of a job. This was not the case with Randy once we worked out how we wanted our job to end up. Randy assured me the he would do a professional job and he did that. Having been a contractor myself I can see a few small errors which my wife cannot. I am fussy and picky about how I spend my money. I've learned sometimes too picky. I would definitely recommend Randy of T&K tile. I think with any contractor you use you should always do your homework and be prepared to discuss your job from an educated position.

+ 1 moreFirst of all, I must say that Randy is a really nice guy. He was extremely professional, down to earth and responsive. While Randy did a good job overall, there were some issues we had with his attention to detail. A very key point for me was that the grout joint be as thin as possible, so that tile appears seamless. For the most part that was achieved - however, some of the grout lines are bigger than others. On January 31, 2013, when Randy told us he was done there were a several things we had a problem with including the grout was uneven in places and there was obvious lippage in several areas throughout our living room and hallways i.e. tiles that were raised higher than the rest. Randy came back and regrouted the floor, and also replaced a few of the tiles. There is still some lippage in the living room that bothers me, and I really don't think there should be given the type of installation.
Description of Work: Randy installed approximately 1225 square feet of 24”x 24” porcelain tile with a 1/16" grout joint in our living room, family room, dining room, kitchen, bathroom and laundry room (installed like marble). He also installed the wallboard and shower tile in our guest bathroom.

+ 2 moreRandy is a true professional in every sense of the word, my wife and I are extremely happy with his work. From the time I called him for an estimate and throughout the entire repair and remodeling project, Randy was polite, prompt and a pleasure to work with. He installed a new shower pan, rebuilt the shower wall and floor, and retiled these areas as well. His attention to detail was great, our new shower looks fantastic. A couple of weeks later we discovered we had a mold problem in the master bath, the floor and sub-flooring needed to be replaced, and the entire bathroom needed to be retiled as well. Once again Randy was able to respond quickly with an estimate, he and his partner JD were able to do the repairs and remodeling shortly after, and our new bathroom looks great! I HIGHLY recommend Randy and R&K Tile for any bathroom or kitchen project, my wife and I stand behind his work 100%. Please feel free to contact me if you need a reference. Jason

+ 0 moreRandy, the owner of R&K Tile, was punctual for the estimate appointment. The estimate was provided quickly and, once the contract was signed, the job started within a couple of weeks. The job took 2.5 days, and Randy arrived on time each day. The actual tiling was done in two stages, due to the layout design, with each stage taking the better part of a day. The last phase, the grouting, was done in the last half-day. Randy was very particular with his work, double-checking his measurements and making sure that all of the tiles were accurately placed and level. He took the time to protect our appliances and counter-top wherever he was working and, at the end of each day, he cleaned up thoroughly. I can truthfully say that it looked like he hadn't even been in the house. Randy is a likeable person and I sensed a strong level of integrity and pride in his work when I first met him. My feelings were borne out during the job. My next tiling job is going to be done early in 2013 and I will only be calling one man to do the job, Randy Fiorio.

Description of Work: Randy installed a 45 square foot glass tile backsplash in our newly remodeled kitchen. He came to us through our contractor, so we didn't hire him directly ourselves - but we will hire him in the future and are so glad we found him! He's wonderful—punctual, impeccable, proud of his work and a pleasure to have around. I can't say enough good things about him and the job he did for us.

+ 0 moreDon't bother calling anyone else, just hire Randy. We called for quotes from 7 companies, 2 never responded, 2 made appointments to come out and then never showed up. Randy came out right away to give us a quote, and was available the following week to start the job. He started every day before 8am, and worked diligently to fit our time frame for completion. His price was very reasonable, his work was exceptional, and we are 100% satisfied with the final result. We will call him again when we are ready to renovate our master bathroom.
Description of Work: Removed approximately 1000 sq ft of tile, replaced with new tile. Provided all necessary supplies and equipment except for the tile. We didn't even need to buy grout, just told him the color we wanted. Project was completed in 6 days. He hauled away all of the old tile for us.

It is good to know that I can without reservations refer R & K Tile to folks in our senior community. Randy truly care about the quality of his work and backs it up 100%. This project could not have gone any smoother!!
Description of Work: I used Randy for a bathroom remodel. The job included removing a tub and replacing it with a walk in shower. Additionally, he replaced the toilet and put down a new ceramic tile floor. I provided all the fixtures and tiles. His price included labor, grout and adhesives. From the start Randy was a professional. He placed brown paper on the floor to protect my floors in the house. At the end of each day, materials were removed and the job was cleaned up before he left for the day. Job was completed in 5 days as promised. Randy provided a price quote upfront that was very reasonable. A written contract was executed before starting the job and a start date was provided. Randy provided me with the tile requirements and materials need. I went to Home Depot and purchased the product and he picked up the material from Home Depot and brought it to my home. Randy is extremely talented, pleasant to work with and has an eye for quality work. His work is guaranteed. I will have him back for more work and freely recommend him to friends.

+ 1 moreWhenever you have to remodel an older unit, one never knows what to expect. This project worked out better than I could have dream for. This was the 4th project that I used R and K Tile for and felt like I was working with a friend. Randy provided a quote,. We worked with a contract as usual and he accepted my friends job at the same time realizing that he would be jumping back and forth between us. This actually worked out very well. Randy was flexible and worked well with our cabinet contractor. The kitchen remodel was completed with in 10 days for BOTH of us. Nothing short of amazing for a kitchen remodel. We have recommended Randy for several additional kitchen remodels in our community. In a senior community, the bad contractors are weeded out quickly and the reliable ones get more work! Word of mouth can help or hurt a contractor. R and K Tile is outstanding and as a result has obtained many jobs in our community.
Description of Work: I was remodeling my kitchen. I had a contractor to install the cabinets and countertops. I needed someone to remove the old cabinets,place floor tile under the cabinets (the old cabinets were placed directly on the cement slab), place an extension on a sewer pipe to accommodate the width of the new cabinets and then tile the back splash after the cabinets and counters were installed. One of my neighbors was also having her kitchen done by the same contractor. Randy also did her kitchen floor, demo and backsplash. This required him jumping between the 2 job sites. This experience could have been a disaster however everyone "played well together" and both jobs were completed beyond our expectations. Randy made several suggestions regarding my backsplash and window area. It looks FANTASTIC and I could not be happier with the results. I get compliments every time someone walks into the kitchen.

+ 0 moreRandy provided a quote on the project that was very fair. He did research to determine the best method of execution. We completed a contract, I gave him a deposit and we agreed on a start date. I purchased the tile and cement board and Randy moved the material to my house. I was actually out of town on a family emergency when this project was done. I felt completely comfortable with providing Randy with the security code to my house and letting him do the work. He had already completed 2 projects on my bathrooms, as well as several other bathroom remodels in our neighborhood and I had complete confidence in him. I returned to a clean garage with a beautiful floor. Another super job by R & K Tile.
Description of Work: The project was to tile my garage floor. The original floor was concrete that had been painted. The paint was peeling and looked awful. Randy had to research the best option as tiling directly on top of the paint would not work. The solution was to attach 1/4" cement bond with an impact gun to provide a secure base to tile the floor. He went with me to Home Depot to help select a porcelain tile with had a non slip finish that would be appropriate to drive a car on and safe to walk on if wet. I purchased the tile and Randy handled the delivery to the job site. The job was completed on time and on budget and looks FANTASTIC!
