Pristine Landscapes

I cannot give enough superlatives to Mark, his crew and Pristine Landscapes. He performed the work exactly as we requested, he and his men showed up exactly when they told me they were go to show up. His guys worked very, very hard to get the job done in just one day. Our landscape is now beautiful and we have received numerous compliments on his work. If you need a landscape service, I am sure you cannot get anyone better than Mark. We are so happy, that in the next month or so we will have his crew come back and do our back yard. UPDATE: October 2nd 2012 I notified Mark that one of the plants he put in a pot in my front yard died. I asked him that on second thought, instead of replacing the plant, my wife and I would like rocks coming out of the pot instead. Mark was gracious and said he'd take care of it. He is coming out on Friday, Oct. 5th to take out the dead plant and replace it with rocks, and he is not charging me anything extra! Pristine Landscapes is truly a great place to have them do your landscaping needs.

Everything was completed in a timely prompt manner

We got a very fairly priced estimate and agreed on a time to begin demo and replace. As promised, each crew came on time on the days that were promised. The paver work turned out beautifully. The landscaping too. Everything was done with the utmost care. They cleaned up after each day on the job. We had good communication with each other. There were some rain delays but I always got a phone call whenever there was a delay or hold up on materials. During the installation some of the sprinklers lines were damaged and were leaking, which we really didn't discover until after the job was complete and paid for. Mark, from Pristine, immediately sent a sprinkler crew to fix everything at no charge. Over the years I have dealt with many contractors and I have to say that this was one of the most pleasant experiences. Mark is an upstanding guy and I highly recommend Pristine Landscaping.

I contacted Pristine Landscapes after reading reviews of the company on Angie's List. Mark Sommer, owner of Pristine Landscapes, scheduled an appointment with us for the same week. At our initial consultation, my husband and I described how we wanted the landscaping to look. Mark listened to our preferences and asked questions for clarification as needed. He took photographs of ourfront yard and courtyard for reference. The next week, Mark e-mailed landscape and courtyard renderings for our review. It was extremely helpful to be able to visualize the (proposed) finished results. Working closely with Mark (via e-mail) over approximately a two-week period, we finalized the landscape plan and scheduled the installation date. Heavy rain during the week of our installation necessitated pushing the project back by one day (which Mark communicated to usin advance). Mark and his crew completed the landscape projects in one day, and the paver repair was concluded the following afternoon. We absolutely love the finished results! Mark was very professional from start to finish, and responsive to our input. We are already planning to have some additional landscaping work done by Pristine Landscapes in our backyard in the near future. I highly recommend Mark and Pristine Landscapes.

Mark was very professional from the start of the process to the end result. His team was very hard working and detail oriented. They took great care in the work done and it shows. Throughout the process Mark was available to make sure everything was done to our satisfaction. Since this was a "whole house" landscaping job, I wanted to have enough input in the process wherever I could but also wanted expert advice on the specific details and Mark was the perfect guy for the job. The end result was exceptional and it was a pleasure putting this project together with him.

I'd been trying to find a way to hide our pool equipment and had met with several contractors, fence builders and landscapers to gather ideas. After meeting with Mark I knew that he was the guy for the job. He took the time to understand what we were trying to accomplish and made excellent suggestions on the types of plants to use (expecially because it was right next to the pool) and how to best place them in the space (some went into the ground and some in planters) in order to achieve our goals and maintain our budget. He took the time to take pictures and measurements, draw up a rendering of what the finished space would look like and track down the planters we would need. (All of the other landscapers had asked me to track down the planters myself ... a tough task at 8 months pregnant). His estimate for the work was fair and his follow up was excellent and professional. His crew arrived exactly when expected, were very polite and did a great job. They laid out the work before planting so that we could make sure it was exactly what we wanted, which was fantastic. The job was finished in a couple of hours time. We love our new landscaping and are very happy with the work! I'd definately call Mark again for future landscaping / hardcaping needs.

I have recently relocated to Fort Lauderdale from East Hampton NY. I have four labradors and had to borrow my parent's pool to exercise them for the two month's before my permanent house with pool was available to move in. Based on the excellent reviews on Angie's list I called Mark's company. He answered personally, discussed my need to replace the sod around my parents' pool after 8 weeks of stress from my dogs. He set a date and time and took the measurements I provided and sent a member of his team who arrived exactly (within 2 minutes) of the time he had confirmed. They took their time, did an INCREDIBLE job, my parents who are extremely picky were so pleased they called me directly after detailing the quality of the work which was done and the kindness and efficiency of the men, and asked me for Mark's information should they need any other landscaping in the future. Mark provided the estimate in late April of this year. I was concerned that I wouldn't be able to afford him after reading some of the higher priced jobs reviews that Pristine Landscapes have completed. My project was on a smaller scale with a limited budget. When Mark came to provide my estimate I was impressed. He listen to my concerns and seemed willing to work within my budget. He took photos for the estimate and made a lot of good recommendations. I received the estimate along with computer enhanced designs to give me an idea of what he had envisioned for the front and rear landscapes. The visual presentation was something that I didn't receive with the competitors estimate. His estimate was also $1,100.00 dollars lower than the competitors estimate. Needless to say I selected Pristine Landscapes for the job. My home owners association requested some additional documentation from Pristine Landscapes and it was dealt with in the same professional manner. All phone calls were returned in a timely manner and Mark seemed to go above and beyond to make sure we were happy with his service. The projects were approved in late May and Mark came buy to finalize the project. My wife and I had decided to make some minor changes to the plan. Mark was receptive to the ideas and made additional recommendations for plant selection and placement as we needed some guidance in this area. On 6/14/2012 Mark and his crew showed up at the time that we coordinated the day before. The plant installation and placement was exactly what we were looking for. His crew was extremely hard working and completed all three projects including clean up in about a nine hour period.Mark came buy the next day just to make sure that we were totally happy with the project. The project was a little over budget due to us having a large palm placed in the front which wasn't included in the original estimate. He stated that I should contact him in the fall and he would come buy to show me how to properly fertiIize the plants. He also informed me to call him If I had any problem with any plant within the first year. I would definitely recommend getting an estimate from Pristine Landscapes for any services that they provide. It was quality work at a fair price!

Mark responded quickly to my inquiry regarding landscaping for the island of the front yard. He stopped by the house, took pictures, and talked about landscaping styles. Mark then sent us a layout illlustrating the plant selection and design. The illustration was a photo of the front yard's island with the plants transposed unto the picture. This provided us with a good idea of what to expect. Mark and his crew arrived around 11am and completed the landscaping within 3 hours. Services included removing the old overgrown landscaping, planting and implementing new plant design which included 13 new plants, rocks, mulch as well as upgrading the landscaping light system. They worked quickly, and cleaned up as they completed sections. Since then we have had many neighbors stop by and compliment our new landscaping. We even met new neighbors who commented on the design and asked about the landscapers we used. We have other sections we want to complete and I will definitely be calling Mark and Pristine Landscapes to complete our front, side and back yard.Thanks Mark and Pristine Landscape for a fabulous job. .From start to finish, Mark was punctual, listened closely to our needs and suggestions and made changes/corrections when we changed our minds about something. He took a yard that we were ashamed of and transformed it into something beautiful. We had a birthday party after the job was finished and all of our friends were amazed at the transformation. We absolutely love our new yard, and would hire Mark again in a heartbeat. Highly recommended!

I needed a quick fix for the yard because of my daughter's upcoming baby shower. Called Mark, he was out within 2 days. We talked about cost, timing (he didn't have a lot of notice) and because I've used him several times in the past and have never been disappointed, let him make suggestions for what areas needed re-planting. He knew I wanted color and visual effect and went to his nursery to see what was blooming, had the color I wanted and we went from there. He is very trustworthy. His word is gold and his work is impeccable. He came out with the crew and went over exactly what he expected to be done; checks on them during the day and amazingly the work was done in ONE day. What can I say? If you want someone who listens, makes great suggestions, stays within budget, gets the work done when it's supposed to be done, Pristine Landscaping meets the standard.

Mark Sommer and Pristine Landscaping are an outstanding landscaping company. My boyfriend and I purchased a home in August 2011 with a backyard that looked like a bomb hit it! We hired another landscaping company to do the job but after they ripped up our cable in the backyard, destroyed our entire property even further and took our money, we called Pristine Landscaping. Mark came the day I called him to assess the damage, gave us a fairly priced quote and started the job shortly thereafter. He and his crew were extremely professional, prompt and completed the enormous project quickly and efficiently!! We asked them to remove all the dirt by hand instead of machinery for fear of more damage to the cables in the yard and they did with no complaints! We are so thrilled with our new yard and would hire them again in a heartbeat! Thank you Mark and Pristine Landscaping for making our yard an envy of the neighborhood! He is phenomenal. I would use him again. He calls me back and he answers emails. He planted a plant that has not taken and he is going to come back and replace it. Ours was a small job and I know he does bigger jobs but he was very kind and on the money. It would be nice to have other workers like him. He is top notch.

Mark came out on time and gave me an estimate. He then gave me a date that the work would take place. His crew was there the morning of the date that he promised. By the time I got home from work, my large palm had been completely removed and the planter bed had new rock and beautiful new plants. Great experience. I would recommend them to anyone.

Mark was a pleasure to deal with from start to finish. He gave a written estimate and design and was by far the one who listened to my wish list and came within my budget. He was very patient with me as I changed a few things around. He kept me up to date as to when the job would start and finish. Mark Sommer was my point man from start to finish.He came to my home and promptly assessed my needs and gave me a written estimate. He made suggestions as to the quality of the pavers and the type of gravel that would be aesthetically and ecologically sound. Work commenced promptly with the removal of all the surface material. The ground was platted. The pavers were ready to be installed. The next day the workers showed up on time and proceeded to lay the pavers. I chose "chicago brick" in variagated shades and shapes.Things were going smoothly as planned. Of course,..one can never be prepared for the unexpected.. A major water line was accidentally cut and water started gushing out onto the patio. I summoned Mark . He arrived immediately, assesssed the situation, contacted Art Plumbing, and remained ON SITE during the entire repair, fielding questions from residents wondering why the water main had been shut off. Satisfied that the repair was complete, he then left the scene so that the workers could finish the job. The work was completed ON SCHEDULE despite the mishap. The patio looks fantastic. The workers were courteous and cleaned up everything. Mark returned to complete the landscaping .He laid gravel and planted the bouganvillias on trellises and also installed my solar pathway lights for me. My home looks great. I am very satisfied with Pristine and would recommend their service.

Great, just be sure to hand select and tag every tree yourself so there are no surprises.

We researched a few landscaping companies on Angie's List and decided upon Mark and Pristine Landscapes after meeting with each. Upon meeting Mark, he was punctual, professional, and offered all the services we needed...including an excellent paver as we also wanted to install a border for the new landscaping. Mark was able to include lighting and all the landscaping at what was by far the best price. The project was done on time and it looks fantastic. During the project we wanted a few adjustments, such as additonal lighting and the changing out of a few plants for ones we preferred more. Mark worked with us no problem, no questions asked. I cannot tell you how pleased with the job Pristine Landscapes did for us and how good it was to work with Mark. I consider myself and my wife quite picky and perfectionists, but Mark and his team were up to it and a pleasure to work with. I'm very happy with Mark and Pristine Landscapes. He was easy to get a hold of and understood everything that had to be done over the phone. He came out to look over the job, gave a reasonable estimate, showed up when he said he would, and did excellent work. He came back to do some additional work and again did excellent work. This was all around a great experience. It's hard to find people who work hard and do what they say they are going to do in S. Fla., but Mark is one of those people. I highly recommend them.

As before, the Pristine crew arrived as scheduled, got right to work and did a very good job. The landscaping looks professional and the lighting system recommended by Mark was perfect for the area. The electrician recommended by Mark worked out well. Unfortunately, the irrigation contractor recommended by Mark has not turned out as well. It was a little difficult catching up with him initially (my instincts at that time told me to go else where, but my positive experience with Mark and Pristine caused me to stick with him). He reworked the sprinkler system and updated the controllers. Unfortunately, one of the zones began to malfunction and, despite texts and phone calls indicating he would come out to fix it he has not done so. In all fairness, Mark or Pristine did NO work on the irrigation system so they are not at fault. Unfortunately, since he was highly recommended by Pristine and Mark, I have to lower my overall rating. I paid $2000 for the irrigation rework and I now have to hire someone else to fix the problem. After three weeks of calls and no shows by "Vinnie" it's time to cut my losses and move on. My lesson learned is to not go with someone or a company recommended by a contractor unless you check them out first on Angie's List. I didn't do that.

Although I had to delay the original start date and then Mark had to delay, it wasn't a problem for me, as it was not a rush job. But it was done in one day. Yay! Looks great. I have just 2 issues. I never got a written proposal and Mark wasn't there when it was finished. He did call to follow up, but I would have preferred to see him at the finish. I would definitely recommend him and use him again.

Mark returned by calls promtly. He did the work he promised to do. The materials he used and the landscape items he provided were beautiful and lush. He also repaired a broken head on two of our inground sprinklers. We have a home owners association that provides mow and blow, but not any additional services. The new landscaping looks great.

He's the best!! I highly recommend Mark @ Pristine Landscaping. He's honest, reliable, timely, imaginative, frugal and a good person. Those are some of the things you just don't find everyday in South Florida.

Pristine arrived on time and completed the work in a few hours. The work was excellent except for a a few pavers that were not completely level on the edge with the rest of the driveway. Mark responded immediately and had the crew back out to fix it in no time. I would highly recommend Pristine Landscape for their excellent work and follow up.. UPDATE: 01.13.12 - Pavers are still solidly in place.

Pristine Landscapes were a great company to deal with, after our first call Mark came to the house to get an idea of what we wanted and to put together some idea of price. He helped us with ideas and what would and wouldn't work. He was very responsive throughout the whole process and came to the house 3 times before starting the work to make sure everything was right. Over a period of several weeks our ideas evolved and Mark worked with us to end up with a final plan. We also visited his nursery to go over plant choices and again got excellent advice. The pavers we needed to match our current patio were no longer available from stock so Mark had to arrange a special order for us. Again he proved meticulous with this part of the job and even drove from Coral Springs to Miami to collect the paver samples to come to our house (Davie) to check they were exactly right. He said they would start on the Monday and be finished by the Wednesday (weather permitting) and they did exactly that. On the first day Mark went over everything to be done with us again and gave specific instructions to the crew. They interpreted everything exactly as we wanted with little further input needed from us. His team of pavers and landscapers worked until the sun set every day and cleared up as they went along. When the plants arrived on day two Mark supervised again and laid everything out for our approval before planting. Day three as promised was the last day including the cleanup and debris removal. The following day we noticed a leaking sprinkler, called Mark and he sent a crew to fix it the next day. We would have no hesitation in recommending Pristine Landscapes, they were a pleasure to work with and did an excellent job. We are very pleased with our new garden and will be using Pristine again in the future to do Phase Two of our garden remodeling.
