Computer renderings were provided which really helped my husband and I visualize what the final results would look like whichever option we chose. The workers were on time, professional and courteous. Our front yard looks beautiful and we could not be happier with the results. Pristine delivered what they promised and more. + 1 moreSue provided a proposal which was agreed upon and a date was scheduled for the work. Sue and her crew arrived on-time and did a great job in about 3 hours. They went above and beyond on cleaning up the surrounding area...even swept the street to ensure all debris was gone.
Description of Work: Removed existing plant material, created a stepping-stone walkway and planted the following: 8 Viburnum (7 gallon) and 4 Ti Plants (3 gallon) and added 8-10 bags of red mulch.

+ -1 moreThey were prompt and did a good job in laying down the sod. The first day they were a bit short on the sod, but I called Sue Sommer and the next morning they came out and finished. My only concern then and now is that the sod had quite a lot of dead grass. I did call Sue who sent the owner of the company to come out and look. He told me that the sod was good and it was normal and that they would stand behind it. It has now been about a month and the sod still has quite a bit of dead grass but I am waiting to see if it will get better after I fertilize. After 4 months now , the grass is fine and strong. I now give an "A" to Pristine Landscapes in all categories and would recommend them and use them again.
Description of Work: Pristine Landscapes sodded part of the front lawn and the back of the house near the canal.

Cost was fair for the project and comparable to several other estimates we received, but with a far more detailed plan than the others. He has also come back since to install additional plantings, again with excellent service and results. We highly recommend Mark.

His knowledge of what really grows in south FL and experience helped me create a wonder haven for butterflies and within days they were already arriving. He is great about answering e-mails or phone calls quickly and I would have no problem recommending him and his team to other people.
Description of Work: Mark was wonderful. We designed a new butterfly garden to include both native and exotic plants and he even brought a few plant surprises. I did the project in 3 planting stages and have plans for future gardens to come.

+ -1 moreAWESOME!!! Let me start by saying I have black thumbs, so much so that I've even managed to kill a cactus; gardening is not my thing. We were lucky enough to deal with Sue Sommer and her crew?have a mentioned AWESOME?!?! Sue was very professional from the start: always punctual, came over looked around, listened to what we wanted, took photos to Photoshop in what the landscaping could look like just to give us an idea, gave us an estimate, and even answered questions about plants and up keeping (very knowledgeable). The most important thing to Sue was to ensure we were happy with how everything looked, even if that meant moving an already planted shrub a few inches to the right just to satisfy my OCD and propensity for symmetry. At the end of the job the crew made sure everything was packed up and clean, Sue even wanted to take a look at the sprinkler system to ensure functionality (was not there just to do a job). Would definitely give Pristine Landscapes another call if I kill any other plants.
Description of Work: Re-landscaped the entire front and backyard from something that annoyed me to even look at and transformed it into a thing of beauty.

+ -1 moreA very accurate and thorough job was provided by the owner Mark Sommer's including following through with his one year guarantee to replace several plants and restraighten two queen palms based on heavy winds experienced following his install. The owner was very liberal in meeting on-sight with Board members, answering questions, thoughtfully re-working the estimate many times without complaint, providing on-site management for install, with staff working 12-14 hour days to complete the job within the originally discussed time frame. Very clean, neat, efficient job reviewed by Weston City inspector to insure proper best management practices and industry standards were followed. After installation, a couple of the plants died (which happens sometimes). Mark came back out within a couple of days and replaced the plants at no extra cost. Overall, they were GREAT!

+ -1 moreEverything was done in a timely manner. Things moved quickly from start to finish. The proper man power and equipment was provided by Mark. I was very happy with the overall look. I now have a beautiful Florida home instead of an overgrown jungle. There were no hidden charges even when the rip out appeared to be larger than expected, as one layer was peeled away stumps, etc. were found underneath. The men were knowledgable and worked together well to get the job done .
Description of Work: My entire front yard and back yard was ripped out and replanted. The property was entirely overgrown with older trees and bushes. It now looks like a park. We are pleased and best of all, my neighbors passing by have made positive comments about the changes.

+ 0 moreSue made me feel assured that my front lawn was going to be beautiful when the project was finished. She gave me helpful advice as to what would look good. I needed her expertice since I had no idea about plants etc. The price was within my budget and honestly looks like more than I paid. The workers showed up on time, were courteous and worked hard way past the time I had to leave for work. Sue accompanied them and explained in detail everything that was happening. A sego plant that I thought I wanted removed from the front of the lawn, Sue and the lead worker suggested that it be uprooted since it was still healthy and placed in the center of the lawn. It looks great with all the new plants, shrubs and dwarf boganvilla surrounding it. The lawn has a blanket of red mulch, stone and a beautiful pot on its side with stones coming out of its mouth. What I thought was one of the worst looking lawns in the neighborhood, could easily be the best looking lawn in the community. I have Sue and Pristine Landscapes to thank for their professional and creative plan for my new lawn. I will certainly point anyone who's interested in landscaping towards this business. They deserve an A++++++++ as far as I'm concerned. Keep up the great work Sue!

They brought fresh , nice landscaping and upon completion of work cleaned up. In addition to the planting of new landscaping they also cleaned up the grounds with its existing palm trees and large plants and did a very professional job on that as well. Mark, as the designer, obviously has alot of knowledge with 20 years experience.I will certainly use them again
Description of Work: I initially placed a call to Pristine which was returned promptly by Mark, the owner. He was very informative and told me he would be sending out Sue, who is his sister, and who works with him to survey the property and to discuss my requirements. Sue came out on time and was very cordial,, professional and informative. I told her I was flipping the house and wanted an attractive basic design with curb appeal. She new exactly what I wanted. She proceeded to take pictures of the ground and said she would review them with Mark along with my requirements so they could come up with a plan.Within a week they got back to me with a computer generated layout and landscape design of what they recommended, at no charge. It fit the bill!!!. They then sent me a proposed estimate which appeared reasonable. We set up a date in the next weeks and they arrived on time and completed the work in 2 days

Description of Work: We purchased our new home in Oakland Park at the end of November 2012. Along with a very large remolding job on the inside, the grounds of the property were in dire need of an overall makeover. The grass was almost non existent, mostly the typical South Florida sandy soil mix. We called around to many Landscaper's and finally decided on Pristine, largely as a result of their positive reviews on Angie's List. Mark, The owner, quoted us a price of around $1300 for sodding the property, which actually cost closer to $1600.00. Close enough for me. They also arraigned for an irrigation man to come out and repair the sprinklers which had a broken valve, cracks in the line and missing springer heads. The irrigation people were on the property for over four hours and Pristine only charged us $ 275.00 for the repairs. I thought that was a very fair price for the amount of work done. The sodding of the property was topped off by a row of flowering bushes lining the front of the house and four more around the large Palm tree in the middle of the front yard. The back yard, which looked horrendous, prior to the work being done, looks awesome with the new sod !!! We had a row of Privacy palms planted along the back of the property which we are very happy with the impact they have on the look of the back yard. We were so pleased with the work done that we had Mark and his team come out and plant another line of bushes along one side of the property line. Just like the rest of the property, it looks great !!

+ 0 moreMark came out about 3 weeks before the actual job to size up the work i needed to have done. He provided a fair price and we scheduled a date for the work. On day of, Marks tree brought the tree down quickly, and were able to stump grind most of the roots. Some extraneous cleanup (a pine tree removed, and Royal Palms trimmed) were also completed. His team came out the next morning to finish up as there were still some roots to stump grind. After that was complete, they relayed the soil and sod, after planting a new Red Maple (rules for Parkland). Mark also provided a computer mockup of some general landscaping we may have done in the future. Overall, we thought his team did a great job, at a nice price. We'd definitely use again.
Description of Work: 50' Pongam tree removal, Stump grinding tree and pervasive root system, and refill of 2 cubic yards of topsoil and a pallet of Sod. Also removed a few other trees, and trimmed Royal Palms.

I asked him about getting services done, said he was going on vacation for the weekend, asked him if I could schedule for next week, he just kept saying he?s busy over and over again, said he has an assistant that would schedule the appointment, said she was on her way would call in a matter of minutes, gave him my number and he hung up, assistant never called me back.

They came out, looked at areas we wanted to redo, asked questions about what we were thinking and what we were trying to accomplish. They took pictures of the areas we wanted to change and then sent us computer generated pictures of what they recommended for those areas. We then went to their nursery and looked at the actual plants they were recommending. After we made some adjustments in the plants we wanted to use, they provided a quote. We felt there quote was fair based on the plants we wanted to use and the extensive amount of rock we wanted to use. Our overall objective was to have landscaping that was relatively low maintenance and that would not get so big as to be overwhelming in several years. We agreed on a date to begin the work and they called us the day before to reconfirm the date. They arrived as scheduled and within two days our new landscaping was completed. We were extremely pleased with the final results. Just what we envisioned. We have had several very positive comments from neighbors, and as this is a very upscale neighborhood, the neighbors don't give complements easily. Mark's crew worked extremely hard, even when he was not at the job site. They were also very friendly. We would definitely use Mark again in the future and have already recommended him to several friends and neighbors.

The timeline begin with Mark (the owner) coming to give me an estimate, which I loved the price, and the next day he came back to treat the lawn with a grass and weed killer. A week later his crew (2 guys) came back and laid the sod which took about six hours. Pristine was $100 more than the lowest offer I was given by another company, but because Pristine had such good rating with Angie's List I knew the price was fair and worth it. Mark always answer my calls promptly, answered all my questions regarding lawn care, and even came back a couple of times to look over my considers I had about the new sod. The only gripe I had was with the crew who install the sod because it seems as if they got lazy toward the end of the job and just threw sod down. I had one strip that boarder my neighbor's lawn which did not survive because of the way the crew installed it. Mark did agree to replace it but I could not wait for him to do the replacement so I just did it myself. Now I have one of the best looking lawns on the block.
Description of Work: Pristine installed sod for my front lawn, remove a shrub stomp on the side of my house, and filled in a dip I had in the front lawn.

I am always changing things and Mark has been the most amazing, professional and understanding person I have worked with on my house projects. I first had Mark come out and quote me on doing some rock landscaping in the front and side of my house. His crew took out some unnecessary concrete walkway so I could put down rock and moved some plants around for me. They added some palms and shrubs to the front and sides of our home. Over the last two years, I have changed some things and re-arranged plants on the rocked areas. Mark has always come over to give me a great price and has his crew there within days to tackle my projects.
