They were really nice and professional people. They sent a supervisor before they sent a technician. They arrived on time and the bugs disappeared. We signed a contract for a year.

I am very happy with them. No problems at all. If I do they come out right away.

They ensure that my lawn stays green and healthy year round. They are responsive to calls to come and address any issues that may arise in between service calls. I am extremely pleased with Heron. I have used several different lawn companies over the years and they have been the best!

I'd tell others to definitely use them. I think it's $15-$200 to renew my bond each year.

They were very good and prompt. There is nothing bad I can say about them.

I signed up with Heron Lawn and pest control in October 2012 for their Platinum Lawn Care Program for $221 every other month. My lawn size is about 14000 sqft. Expensive but I thought they would always back up their product and name for services rendered.At the beginning of 2012, I started to see some deterioration of my lawn in various places. Needless to say, I replaced about 7 pallets of St Augustine Seville and St Augustine Floratam with Heron in addition to readjusting all 9 zone sprinkler heads with MP's (precision sprinklers that conserve water and apply precise metering water). All this for a Total of $3000 last year in May of 2011. I have called and complained to Heron about the decay of my lawn and their product effectiveness. (Underground Insects?) While over time they said they would keep applying more nutrients and fertilizers to stimulate my lawn. In addition to the decay, my lawn started to show many signs of fungus.I complained again and had the Manager Anthony Pittala along with Quality Supervisor Rob Moody show up the next day to assess my lawn and determine that Fungus(Gray Leaf spot had indeed taken over my lawn). The Manager said that a scheduled treatment would be done the following day with a Fungus control. (Dont they prevent this?) When I called to see what time the treatment was to happen their was no ticket scheduled. Furious, I asked for their Manager to contact me. The applicator eventually showed up later that evening not knowing why their was no ticket printed for the Fungus treatment. 6 weeks later as I continued to see my lawn decay their was no follow up by either Managers other than the Customer Service from the office to schedule a normal treatment. I said that I need to cancel their service because of lack of effectiveness towards my lawn and no customer service care whatsoever. She transfered me to another quality supervisor Gabriel. I mentioned to him my dissapointment and disgust with their service. Later that day, the original Quality Supervisor Rob shows up. I shared my frustrations again with their lack of customer service and product effectiveness and mentioned that Sod replacement should take place. I even mentioned that the District Manager Kevin Hoyt should follow up on this request. A week later has gone by and no calls from Anthony, Rob or Kevin. Do not sign up with this service. They will take your money and run away fast. Their practices are deceiving and not effective whatsoever. Heron should have their State License reevaluated!!!

see decription.... thus far my main complaint regarding Heron's service is that they do not contact me prior to comming out to the house for service. I feel this would be an important addition to their service so that I could communicate with the technician on a more consistant basis not only resulting in a better service for me but allowing Heron to better structure their overall services with direct feedback.

Heron came out for my initial visit and I chose them based on Angieslist reviews. Mark was great on the first visit and we bundled the pest control with the lawn fertilization service and they gave me a great price that couldn't be beat. They gave me dates and times when the next visits would happen to start service, and they both showed up on time and ready to go. Lawn Fertilization:I bought my house two years ago and the lawn was a mess. It had obviously never been taken care of and it needed work. Mark from Heron said it could be saved and to give it at least 5-6 months to see results. The initial application was in February 2012 and now July 2012 my lawn looks great. There are a couple of weed spots, but overall my grass is full, green, and great looking. It is a huge change from what it was before. Each time they come they knock on the door to talk to me and see if I need anything. They also leave a detailed work performed sheet which shows what they did and any suggestions for me (like water the lawn more or less) Pest Control:I used to use another company for pest control and switched to Heron because of the cost savings and because the other company was not responsive when I had issues come up. What a difference with Heron. The initial visit was a long one where they went into a full detail of the house and baited everywhere. I had a bad ant problem which they quickly fixed. About a week later all pest problems were gone. Every time they come by they are great. For both services:Usually a manager calls me to make sure I am happy and that my visits went ok. I love this. Even if everything is fine and I never request a call, I get it anyway. The manager really wants to make sure I am happy and if I forgot to tell one of the guys something when they were hear, I tell the manager and they are out here the next day to fix it. Additionally Mark, the original person who sold me the service, calls occasionally or stops by to see the progress on the lawn. He is also genuinely concerned and excels at his job. Overall, I get a very good "we take care of our customers" feeling from Heron. They are always proactive in taking care of customers needs instead of waiting for the complaint.

I think they are great. They do what they say and I have no bugs. They are by far one of the best we've had.

It went well on both counts. I did not oversee all of their work; the results are great.

I asked Heron to only do those services. They told me the rate went down to $59/service instead of the $69/service I had paid previously. However they were unable to not charge the initial fee of $109. I told them I was only looking for the two things and they told me they did not have a choice but to lay down everything that came with the initial service even though it was more than I needed. They said it was company policy and they could not change it. My tenants take care of the fertilization, but this one needed to be done professionally. I cannot justify $109 for a one time service with things being put down that I do not need. I am very disappointed that I will be unable to use them. I did like their service previously, but do not like their inflexibility.

They are very good. I would recommend them to anyone.

I think their price is vary fair for what I am getting. They are a great company. My lawn looks fantastic after looking a little sad.

Our experience with them was not amazing, but it was OK. They come out every three moths, but they will come back as they are needed.

It went great! They were very professional and extremely knowledgeable. My yard looks great.

I have a current contract with them. They always let you know when they are here because they do it on the outside. When they are here they always ask if there have been any issues. They also always ask if I want them to come inside to spray.

Everything is wonderful. They are very courteous.and always call ahead of time to make sure that I am home when they are coming out to do their services. The workers are also very knowledgable about what they are doing.

I was recommended to them. I give them an "A" overall and I will use them again.

I took over a house and yard that was in pretty rough condition, and slowly and surely, with their help, we're getting it into shape.

They dug up holes around the perimeter of the house. They inserted a mixture that would keep termites away from the house. Not that I have termites it was a preventative measure. I liked the gentleman that I dealt with initially, and the technician that arrived later. They were very professional. They showed up when they said they would. They did a good job in the specified amount of time. Their rates were a little high. I would use them again in the future.

The termite treatment has gone reasonably well. They come out once a year to treat. The pest control was average at best. After a month in our house we noticed ants and small pests, over the next six months Heron was never able to remedy this problem. After I changed companies the problem was taken care of in a month. The worst was the lawncare. I had beautiful St Augustine yards. After our first winter the yards were totally dead. Three different employees of Herons gave three different reasons for the problem.The yard was either watered to much or not enough depending on whom you spoke with. A supervisor finally came out and agreed to sprig the yard back at intervals to see if we could get the St Augustine to return. They came out with approx 75 little springs for my entire yard. After putting those few in the front they were surprised I actually thought they would do the back and side yards as well. They were going to get more and return the next week, that was over a year ago still waiting I guess. I called to present my issues with the operations manager then the VP, neither of which ever found me worthy to return my calls or other correspondence. For the prices they charge you would think the service would be above average. My biggest regret is the termite contract was for ten years so I still have to deal with them once a year. By far and away the worst company I have dealt with in Central Fl.

The guy that came for the recent rat problem was very friendly & was genuinely interested in solving our problem. I appreciated that. He was just good to work with. I travel a lot & he worked with me to get a schedule arranged to make sure everything was taken care of.

2013 update - Our service tech was promoted to management - great for him, not so for us. The new techs doing our service are sadly not of the same caliber and the level of service has decreased. Our lawn is no longer as lush - and we've had a good amount of rain this year. The mosquito control application has a very bad odor, and the day after application my husband went out in the backyard for 3 minutes and came in with 5 bites - so it's not working. We've seen no problems with insects, so for now we will keep the pest control service. The people at office level are still very professional and courteous, but with this kind of service it's all about the techs and the product. 2012 - We used another big name pest control company for years, until their techs professionalism went severely downhill.We've been using Heron Lawn and Pest Control for just under a year for our lawn service as well as pests and mosquitoes. WOW! what a difference!!!We haven't had any problems with bugs. We are able to go into our backyard without being feasted on by mosquitoes.Our lawn is lush and a beautiful greenish blue (it's the prettiest in the neighborhood!) Our neighbors have commented that our lawn makes theirs look bad!!!The techs are great (we have Sandy, and he is AWESOME!) Everyone we've spoken with at the company has been kind and courteous. We are very pleased with out service and will sign up for another year as we feel we have more than gotten our moneys worth.

They come every 3 months, or whenever you need them. It's been great. We haven't noticed a thing in the house.

They show up on time. They do their job. I would use them in the future.
