Heron was very prompt to respond to my inquiry and contacted my husband. He had decided to attempt to control himself. They gave him advice and direction. Very nice to work with.

Technician left detailed notes after completing the service; not just a checklist. Included was what the technician found and what the technician didn't find. Keeping me informed of the details is what will keep my business. While I maked the price of service as a "B", I do feel that I am getting the quality service that I pay for.

After having a bad experience with another lawn control outfit, I was very pleased to find Heron through Angie's list. A consultant came out the next day and did a through inspection of our yard and drew an outline of all the problem spots, their names and the applications which would be applied. The man who did the actual spraying was very professional and knowlegable. We signed a year's contract which would be refundable at any time if we are dissatisfied. Our yard already looks 100% better than it did before we called Heron. I would recommend them wholeheartedly

The service was actually for my father's home-we had noticed droppings in the kitchen and throughout the rest of the house. Herron was very prompt in returning my call for an appointment and in keeping the appointment time. Evaluation of the house was done and it was felt that the house was infested with rats. Although only one seemed to be in evidence at the time of the inspection, what was noticed (droppings) throughout the home was considered an infestation. There were several areas outside the house that needed repair-it was felt that this may be the way the rodents actually got into the house-trees had to be trimmed, soffit had to be wired shut and an outside pipe leading into the house had to be cemented shut-their visit was on a Wednesday, the repairs were done by the following Monday. Glue boards and traps were set throughout the house. Although it was felt that the house was infested, nothing was ever caught-anywhere. Inspectors came on a regular basis to check the traps, but there was never anything there. It was thought that perhaps the rodents used the access areas to come and go and once they left and these areas were no longer available, nothing could go back into the house. But considering the fact that the house was considered infested, it was hard to believe that all the rodents left at the same time and were not able to get back in. That remains a mystery. Glue boards remain in the house.

Everything was great. The technician was prompt, courteous, and helpful. We also had a technician from Massey services come out but they quoted us a SIGNIFICANTLY higher price, AND we were previous customers at our last residence. I would definitely choose Heron Lawn and Pest Control!

They do a good job. There was a problem when they were treating for the subterranean termites where they severred a freeon line for my AC. They were right on it. They had a repairman out the next day and took care of everything. I gave them an A on price, but that is because I am very satisfied with their service. I do not have anything to base off of price, but they do a great job.

They know what they are doing and actually take care of the grass with knowledge and skill. They are just so professional in what they do. They are trustworthy and reliable.

I have employed several different companies over the years that provide such services. I was pleasantly surprised with an actual difference I could see in the appearance of my yard after several months with Heron. They are friendly and professional over the phone when I’ve called for interim service, and they return within a day or two to fix the problem at no extra charge.

First a little history: Last year complete lawn was installed over 2 dump trucks of quality Top Soil that was graded by a local company who provided a very High Grade of Argentine Bahia grass. (Argentine Bahia grass was chosen for a wide variety of reasons after researching choices) There IS a difference! Heron was chosen after reading the reviews from Angie's list as well as from the experience of a friend. Salesman did a very fine job advising me what I could expect from the service. The first treatment went quite well, starting seeing greener lawn with a few days and some weed control within the first month. From this point it went straight downhill. If your interested in knowing more read on. If not know this: My opinion is stated along with what I know to be true. FACTS in tech notes! My opinion: this is Not the company to use. From my experience the office staff and the Corporate office was less than acceptable. Main Point I had LESS WEEDS Before Heron!! 2/4/12 paid for treatment to begin. 4/2/12 treatment tech notes: Treatment will help even out color and help with weed control. (Never came back for 30 day follow up) 5/30/12 treatment tech notes: (new tech on receipt) Retreated persistent weeds in lawn. Will follow up on condition within in 21 days. Allow 3 to 4 weeks for weeds to suppress. 6/21/12 treatment tech notes: Will return ASAP to retreat weeds- Will do whatever it takes to resolve issue. 6/22/12 treatment tech notes: As promised I returned to treat problem weeds in lawn. Allow 3 to 4 weeks to show best results. Will follow-up to check on conditions. 7/26 treatment tech notes: Followed up on lawn and retreated problem weeds. Area in back seems a little dry. Please check irrigation for coverage and run times. 3/4 inch of water is best. This last treatment, Heron has BLASTED my lawn! Severely Stressed and even killed some grass while very little damage to weeds has occurred. From this point on it has been an absolute nightmare dealing with this company on ALL levels.Office staff was extremely rude on request for follow up. Rochelle the office manager has supposedly addressed this. James W. assured me the problem would be taken care of by Heron and acknowledged damage done by chemicals laid down by Heron. I was told sod would be replaced by the first of September. (This was said to me in my front lawn the beginning of August.) 3 weeks later NO sod NO phone call advising me of what is going on. Contacted Heron office requested manager, Kevan H. told me he was aware and had approved sod replacement, apologized for the lack of communication and that James W. would be contacting me with information. Requested Kevan walk the property. Date set to walk the property Tuesday September 4th 2012. James W did call back shortly and told me of issues they had obtaining sod. I asked what about if I called to check on my sod guys availability? His response " Do what you have to do" My response " Excuse me, do what I have to do is the attitude I' going to get?" His response to me to me " Yes" My response to this "Have a great day good bye!" Called Corporate office September 5th asking to speak to one of the 3 owners (10:10 a.m.) Not available! Gave name and number to lady answering the phone requesting call back. NO return call! Next day called Corporate office again, this time just after noon, NO answer, left message on voice mail. However 16 minutes later ( REALLY? ) Kevan H. calls to tell me the crew they use should be out today, September 6th to take care of the sod and that James W. will be calling to let me know if there is a change in what is going on. Advised Kevan H. of new issue that has now entered: Miles the treatment tech flat out told me there would be NO charge for the last visit since the issue had taken place with the grass, he said he went to his manager and said there can't be a charge for this. His manager agreed and there would be no charge. Now on the sheet Kevan H. had left on my door it shows a balance due of $69.00. Kevan H. assured me he would look into it and if that is what Miles had told me it would be taken off. Everyone from this company has been telling me they can control the weeds. Until NOW! Now I'm getting the line " a few weeds are to be expected" ( What do you consider a few weeds is the question I guess.) As this goes along Managers have become very argumentative. Resolution seems QUITE difficult to come by with this company. Parts of the lawn have been removed and replaced with what in my opinion appears to be a lesser quality grass in comparison to what I have. Should I have had to wait that long, and then not be at least accepting of the product replaced? There has been NO follow from Heron in regards to if I accept this as being made whole. For me, I am done fighting with this company to do the right thing. Lesson learned and will recommend anyone to NOT use this company. Sorry but my experience was absolutely ridiculous!

Overall, very pleased with Heron. We stopped using the shrub service only because we needed to cut back on something in our budget, but they did excellent work while we used them. We still use them for indoor pest control, and they are always happy to come back if we have a specific concern. Great communication with scheduling, and our tech is friendly and patient.

I've been using them since 2009. They're very responsive and prompt. They treat what I need them to, and retreat if necessary. They are very professional.

I liked the reviews I read on Angie's List so I asked them to come out and quote fertilization services. The appt time came and went - no one showed up. I called the office and they called me back stating they were not sure what happened to the guy and could he come out the next day. Next day I can't remember either he called to tell me he wasn't going to make the time or he totally forgot again. Anyway I did get a call and we agreed he'd stop by and call me once he was able to provide a quote. He finally did that. I needed time to get other companies out to quote as well. He followed up a couple times. When I was finally ready to make a decision I called and left vmx asking him for a written quote as all I had been given was verbal and during our move I misplaced the paper I had written the details down on. I never received a callback so I went with another company and I will not recommend these guys because if they can't get the initial appt right it will probably be even harder to get them back when i have an issue.

We hired Heron to control the bug and pest in both our home and lawn. It will be an ongoing relationship and so far we are very satisfied with their service.
