Description of Work: Since other lawn service providers we use have always told us and billed us for less than 10,000 square feet, we expected to pay no more than the $89 for this advertised core aeration service. But apparently this provider simply uses the total recorded lot size in public records which of course includes our house foot print, extended driveway and flower beds. So they wanted to charge an additional $50 which I am not willing to pay. For more $, I would expect overseeding in addition to core aeration and this was not part of the deal. If it was clear in the posting that total size included everything even obviously land that could not be core aerated, it wasn't clear to me. Provider was very polite and professional in their response when I questioned their email saying there would be an extra $50 charge. In the future for these types of big deals, if that is the fact of the offer, it needs to be more explicitly stated.

Description of Work: The job before mine ran long so they were late in arriving but I was kept informed by phone as to when they would be there. They did not pull the weeds as I asked but only covered them with mulch. When I called to let them know about this, they did offer to send the crew back out to fix it.

Description of Work: I elected to retain the two workers for extra time and pay for that over and above the Angie's List package. The workers were very polite, willing and efficient, even creatively using techniques to save time. They edged my lawn and trees, removed shrubs, relocated perennials, weed-wacked and provided "muscle" for my gardening chores. It was great!

Description of Work: The workers did an "okay" job in the 2 hours alotted, and given that one was in the front yard and one in the back yard, I really could not be in both places at one time (especially since I was hobbled by knee surgery). | |The big positive was that my yews were trimmed and brush removed. I had asked that the front beds be cleared of all violets and weeds. The workers asked if I would like clean black mulch in the front two beds (to keep weeds down) for an additional $10), and I thought that might be a good idea. In a little over a week, violets and weekds started popping up through the mulch, and it's not evident 2 months later that the weeds were removed at all. I believe the worker just mowed them down with his power whacker. Weeds around my dogwood, likewise were not removed, but were just power-cut. They have returned, and the grass growing among the creeping "jenny" was never removed. The owner indicated before the workers came that I had the option to pay for additonal time, but the workers appeared to not have the time necessary, so I did not ask. | |Overall, it was an okay experience, but not what I was hoping for based on the reviews I read.

Description of Work: Yard clean up. |The project took twice as long as I had hoped. The guys worked slowly and left work that I had to finish since I was not willing to keep paying more. I know I had a large cleanup but I think they could have finished the job if they had worked a little faster. I watched them with the leaf blower and it looked like they had never used one before.

Description of Work: Core aeration and reseeding were done and it went well. Core aeration for 0.5 acres was extra and reseeding was also extra amount which is not reflected in the initial price of $88.00.

Description of Work: I purchased a big deal for $169 for Four Hours of Lawn or Landscape Work. This turned out fine. They did some weeding, removal of debris, and trimming of landscaping.

Description of Work: Paid $79 for Aeration and seeding for my 4000 square feet of yard. Very happy with the service, lot of bald spots are growing green grass.

Description of Work: We were outside of his service range so he asked me to cancel the big deal request and ask for my money back. I don't know why angies list kept sending me the big deal email if this company was not going to provide services outside of a 20 mile radius. This forced me to pay and then get a refund in 7 to 10 business days. Will not be using big deals anymore.

Description of Work: The owner responded in a timely fashion and 2 men came to clean gardens for spring. I told them not to pull the thistle, as we intended to have them sprayed. Unfortunately, they didn't weed any of the other gardens or take dead wood from some plants. This is the second time we've used this service....day and night difference from the last time. We won't use them again.

Description of Work: After ordering this special deal, Ken contacted us the next day to set up the date for the job. The work was done by two landscapers who were very professional and responsive to our requests, They complted the job very much to our satisfaction. They also pointed out a broken well-cap and a dead tree that needed attention.

Description of Work: Spring clean up and laying 4 yards of mulch.
