Description of Work: Ken came out on schedule and performed core aeration to my lawn. A part of the lawn is on a hill and Ken and his employee went the extra mile and worked to cover the hill area for aeration which was challenging due to the size and weight of the machinery used.

We did screw up the scheduling...o well. Certainly wasn't intentional. We had a date scheduled and it rain so we postponed it a week. I didn't record it properly. Our fault and she got her money back.

Description of Work: Primary reason was to do weeding and then pruning. KLS Sent 2 people: a Forman and assistant - 4 hours of work paid for became 2 hours because there were 2 people. 1 person could have focused on weeding and other pruning. After paying for a total of 6 hours (2 people) absolutely no weeding was done and some of the pruning done. Assistant did not do 3 hours of work. Just raking up what the Forman pruned. so feel that I did not get my money's worth. Had to hire someone else to come and do all my weeding.

I knew this would be trouble from the beginning. When I called her the day before she had an elitist and condescending attitude. I told her the folks who were coming were people, not horses. Really, if weeding was so important, they why did she have us start trimming shrubs? Wouldn't it make sense to do all the weeding first and then the shrub trimming cleaning up the trim debris and weeds at the same time. Our guys called and said she was demanding that work be done in one hour that was going to take many more. I told them to give one more hour and then make an excuse to leave (yes, I pulled them off the job before they were finished). This lady needs to treat people in a respectable manner which she didn't do. These are exactly the same people who have 100's of positive reviews on Angie's List.

All this person wanted to do was negotiate a price, he was a total nuisance. He bragged about his negotiating skills. I told him our price was going to be our price. We are not negotiating at these price points. So we set an appointment on a Sunday which he confirmed where we would come and do the job if we agreed on the price. On my way there I called because I didn't thrust him. He said he wasn't home and that he wasn't expecting it to be done that day, only an estimate. I reminded him of our conversation where we would come, look at the job and do it that day if we agreed on price. He said go look, tell him price and come back later. I said wouldn't be back in his area for about a week. Then he expresses disappointment and said he needed it to get done that very day. I told him he just told me the opposite!! Do you see the inconsistency? Would you do work for this guy? Angie's list or not, this is not a customer we want to be involved with and I said we would not do any work for him.

Description of Work: We used Ken's lawn Service for grass cutting throughout the summer. They were punctual and efficient. Anything we asked them to do they completed promptly. We intend to use them also for some additional landscaping work we have coming up for the fall including a lawn clean up and planting some flower beds.
