Description of Work: They cleaned up leaves from my back yard; cleaned up, mulched and planted new plants in a small rock garden and small front area; cleaned up and spread grass seed in a apx. 8ft x 12ft side area. |I take responsibility for most of what I'm unhappy about with the service since I knew going in that it was a bad idea to pay by the hour instead of by the job. I had no idea of how much they would be able to get done but was tempted by the ad anyway for some reason. I paid for four hours of two men's time (8 man hours) thinking they could get everything I wanted done in that time. It ended up taking them twice as long so I paid extra for the rest of the time since they were already there. I also assumed the two men would be lawn professionals and know about plants and how to plant them -- they didn't. They were very nice men but were strictly 'muscle' and I had to monitor them the whole time to make sure they were doing things correctly (and I know little about planting so I had to look stuff up, particularly about seeding a new area.) I also got a feeling the men were paid a very small percentage of the money that I paid to the company. I could have hired a neighborhood kid to do what they did just as well for a fraction of the price.

Description of Work: General cleanup, some weed and shrub removal.

Description of Work: Weed and put down mulch in my front yard. | |Weeds came up thru some of the mulch within a month so the weed preventer they recommended and put down was not useful. It appears weeds were not removed before applying the preventer. And, while it was a two man crew, only one of them was experienced and knew how to get a job done.

Description of Work: The main task was to trim the shrubs on two sides of my house. Two men arrived with only one hedge clipper between them and a set of loppers so dull that no branch was cut cleanly. After they left I had to re-cut every branch with my loppers. They also told me they'd forgotten to bring a ladder. As a result they weren't able to reach the center of the tallest bush. I asked them to have someone from the company call me back about aerating my lawn but heard nothing further.
