Ken's Lawn & Property Service Inc

I purchased a deal. Apparently I was outside their 20-mile service area (I wish that had been stated somewhere) but Ken said they would do it anyway. I sent him a photo and a description. I had hoped to save myself some labor in weeding a recently cleared space in my yard, but I think landscapers define weeding as what is done with a weed-whacker while I wanted to dig weeds up by the roots before I replanted the area. The two men arrived as scheduled. They did not bring shovels, forks, or digging blades. It was a hot day and they hadn't brought water to drink, which I provided. They hadn't finished after two hours but I chose not to pay extra to extend their time because it was clear that they were mostly only getting the surface vegetation and leaving the roots.

Complete clean up and removal of all ivy. I was really impressed. The situation had gone on for some time and I let it really get out of control. The guys from Ken's Lawn arrived on time and immediately got to work. They kept me appraised on their progress and as we neared the end of our project time that I paid for, I was advised that additional time was required. I completely agreed because the ivy was worse than I had thought. Just an extra hour of time and the project was complete. They did such a thorough job and you can actually see the shed again. Very professional. It's a shame that I'm just outside the zone for regular maintenance because I would have hired them for year-round work. Nevertheless, I would definitely hire in the future.

Dont bother...they appear to be so busy that they cannot call you back.

This is the 2nd time I've used them for aeration and seeding. Both times the work was done when expected and done well.

They arrived within the window that was communicated, took away the entire brush pile and raked some extra leaves. They were professional and respectful.

I spoke with Ken directly. He was professional and courteous. They were busy but were able to meet my deadline and came out and did a FANTASTIC JOB. I called Ken the next day to have the lawn cut right away before the rain started (it called for rain all week)which was that VERY DAY. Ken said he didn?t think they could make it out that day since it was @4PM when I called, but I was shocked to find out his people did come that day and my husband was able to do the seeding before the week of rain. I wish EVERY BUSINESS RAN LIKE KEN?S LAWN AND PROPERTY! DO NOT HESITATE TO CALL THEM! THEY DO GREAT WORK AT A REASONABLE PRICE (I GOT THE SPECIAL HE WAS ADVERTISING ON ANGIE?S LIST WHICH WAS PROBABLY MORE THAN 50% LESS THAN COMPETITORS). It is refreshing to be able to write a review for EXCELLENT SERVICE since most out there is not even close to acceptable. BRAVO KEN!

Their quality wasn't bad and they were on time.

Ken responded right away when we bought the deal. After some discussion of our lawn's sad state, we decided to add fertilizer and seed. Ken's son and a coworker came when scheduled and the work was done as discussed. It was easy and we will use Ken's lawn service again for some of these jobs that we can't seem to get done on our own. Thank you Ken!

Even though I was unable to utilize their services this year, they were very gracious and answered all of my questions about the process. Any communication I sent them was answered immediately. It is obvious that they care about their business and their customers.

They came, they saw, they aerated. No complaints.

It was great, he was on time, did a great job, and cleaned up when he was finished.

They did a great job, but we're outside of their general service area, so we won't be able to use them in the future.

It turned out good. Angie's List had charged me the amount for 4 hours and the person who came said that his work is 4 hours and won't be charging me extra, but then they worked 2 hours more so I had to pay $90 more than what Angie's List had charged. I'm not sure how it works. Next time I should be very careful because the person who came to work said that it will be 4 hours, and after that, of course they worked more than 4 hours. I could see the time they spent but they should have informed me that they would be working more than 4 hours, and if they would be working more than 4 hours, they would be charging $45 per hour. The work was good but the communication was not. I had to pay $90 more for 2 hours extra. If they would have told me at once, that would have been better. One person was doing very good work but the other person was rather lazy. It came out that they had to do some extra work. One person who talked with me was excellent in his work. He was very fast and he was doing a good job. The other person who was working on that was very slow, and because of that I have to pay $90 extra. The price was very reasonable when Angie's List fixed it for $189 for 4 hours but then eventually I had to pay $90 more, and because I don't want to argue with someone, I just paid them. Communication wise, they were not good but the work they did was good. There should have been better communication. They should have told me they would be working for 6 hours and I would have said not to work for 6 hours. I would have told them to work less than that and it would have been fine. Quality was good. I would use them again but I have to be careful. When they come to the property, I would ask exactly how much it would be so I don't have to pay anything extra.

Needed to reschedule due to weather once and did so very courteously; showed up on time with an assistant; professional and courteous; did the work very efficiently; went extra in blowing leaves off the driveway, front porch; shared contact information for future needs; gave tips on when to fertilize and seed; overall very good experience and will sure call next season and for any special projects.

Provided good advice on how to fix my lawn. Did not charge for services that I thought I needed but didn't. Performed all the work the day after I called them. Great to do business with.

ey Initially I was not pleased with the service that I received. Ken's did for warn me that they were coming out but they did not inform me that if the soil was too hard that they would not get decent plugs out of the ground. Needless to say, when they came the first time, it didn't even look like my back yard was touched, and my front yard was noticeable, but not what I expected from a professional. When I reached out to Ken, initially I thought I was going to be even more upset as he made seem as though I should have known the ground needed to be nice and soft for the machine to work properly. However he made right and did come out and re-aerated my lawn after letting me get the ground nice and soft for ample plugs. Needless to say the second time around looked great. I had a ton of plugs and could notice them right away where as before I had to get down and actually look for plugs. I would like to thank Ken's for coming out and correcting the issue and communicating with me to solve the problem. With that I would give them a B this time around. However, this doesn't mean that I will not use them again, because his communication and prompt responses made up for the initial error.

Got pulled in by one of the "specials." x number of hours yard work for x. Estate administrator preparing property for sale. No real way to judge if that was money well spent. After that spent the 1600.00 on landscaping to improve curb appeal of property and ongoing routine lawn mowing. Job well done and terrific customer service.

The provider traded emails with my husband right after buying the deal. They discussed the extra cost bc our lawn was 1/2 acre, not a 1/4. My husband also requested Lime be put down as well. A representative called soon after to schedule the service. He was very nice, but didn't have the emailed information (lime). We scheduled an appt within a couple of days. The servicemen came early within the time window. They were also missing the information about lime (did know the yard was a bit bigger). Luckily, he had the lime on the truck and was able to put it down. While they were her, my husband received an email from Ken to see if we could schedule our service on a specific date. Confused, my husband explained that they were already scheduled for that day. Ken realized he had confused names, and confirmed they were at the house. He must have also contacted the servicemen, because they knew the correct balance due when they finished. A little miscommunication, but nothing too severe and it all worked out well.

Team arrived on time and preformed expected services

all services were as agreed upon. crew showed up on time and knocked out the work load in a quick manner. Cleaned up after themselves and were very professional.

I wanted my entire half acre lawn (checked via google satellite) aerated and agreed with Ken to pay an additional $300 for 33,00 square ft total treatment ($300 + $250 coupon = $550). When workers arrived, they were overwhelmed by the lawn size saying it would cost at least $600. Noticing that they were not interested in doing any work, I asked them to at least aerate the original coupon's deal. THE AERATED ONLY ABOUT HALF of the advertised 11,000 square feet deal. Obviously a fake deal!

Had to wait for some rain to loosen the soil; once it rained, they were out the following weekend. Nice, personable guys, got to work right away. They even took away some of my yard waste. Highly recommend, would use again.

Service was rescheduled due to the original day being very rainy. Good communication about the rescheduling. Worked diligently for the agreed amount of time.

On time. Professional, sociable and fast thorough service. Definitely will seek Ken's out again next season.
