Description of Work: Replaced air conditioning unit for main floor of house

Description of Work: Replaced heat pump and ran additional duct work for family room. I appreciated that they suggested the new duct work, builder placement of vents was bad. I was disappointed that when I agreed to put new vents in ceiling on the day of installation instead on the outside wall as originally planned,the ducts were run through closets because the workers said it had to be. I was not keen on losing storage in both a coat closet and floor space in a bedroom closet. Fast forward to this year, I had a salesman come to my home from Fredericks to give me a estimate for a bathroom renovation and we discussed kitchen as well. During discussion about kitchen, salesman mentioned soffit in my model home in another development built by the same builder used flexible coil to connect heating for upstairs bedroom. I asked how he remedied the situation so the soffit could be removed and he said they ran the ducts in the wall. Light bulb went off for me realizing they could have done the same for my family room. I would like to put a laundry in the closet in my bedroom as part of my still waiting bathroom renovation but I will most likely have to pay someone to rerun duct in the wall. The work Fredericks did was good and they were courteous, but didn't give much weight to my concerns to the loss of storage and took I feel the workers took a short cut which makes my opinion of the finished job, less than it could have been. |

Description of Work: They performed an AC tune-up. They come out twice a year and have an annual service agreement with them. Scheduling appointments is fine and they are on-time for the appointments. We purchased a Carrier AC unit and furnace from them. It was the first time had central AC. The techs are thorough and we are comfortable having them in our home.

Description of Work: hired to do annual check up of boiler for radiator heat in home. arrived on time and within 15 minutes. loud "oh no" came from basement. followed serviceman to basement where i was told system needs to be shut down due to state law b/c carbon dioxide leak. i asked to show me and he put a "co2 device on the back of the boiler and after a number attempts got the light and sound to "go off' . I used my household co2 detector and could not get it to go off until I touched the back of the boiler. i then said I am calling another hvac company and he immediately went out to his truck. i was told by the other company it was weird. the tech came in didnt charge me and left. The other company looked the system over, put a bit of sealant on the pipe and cleaned it for $100. Beware, beware, beware.

Description of Work: The bathroom at a rental property I own was flooding out. Water was leaking from the bathtub into the rooms. He said it would be $2600 to do the repairs. He then added after he was all done estimating that it would be an extra $75 for his time even though he was the one to also do the work. He should have been more upfront about this extra fee for the estimate. The work itself that was done was done well.

Description of Work: Called Joseph Frederick & Sons with a problem I was having with another contractor. They could not help me, however, they were courteous, responsive and exceptionally eager to try and help me resolve my issue. I would use them if I need service on my Trane system.
