After reading great reviews about Matt The Carpet Guy on multiple sites. I used the contact form on his website to request an estimate. Matt is personable, efficient, and responds very quickly to phone calls and email contacts. The quality of the work he does, the reliability of his crew, and customer satisfaction are clearly important to him, not just in word but in deed. Matt called back the same day and made an appointment for the following week. He asked if I had any color preferences and offered good advice about color choices. He was right on time for the appointment, brought a variety of samples, and described clearly the various grades of carpeting and padding without ever pushing the most expensive products. We settled on the materials and set an appointment, and on the appointed day, showed up first thing in the morning with a cheerful and polite group of helpers. We spent the approximately 8-hour installation period away from the house and got a call a couple of hours earlier than expected to say they'd be done in about an hour. The carpet was installed meticulously and looks great! I also appreciated the thorough clean-up: nothing was left when the crew finished work but three very beautifully carpeted rooms. You can't go wrong in doing business with Matt The Carpet Guy!

We had a water damage issue in one of our rooms, and needed to get something installed quickly (and just decided to do the rest of the place at the same time since Matt's rates seemed very competitive). I called Matt, and told him we had a drop-dead date of one week, and he said it would be no problem. He stopped by our place within an hour of calling him, and had all the details/samples ready to go. The bottom line is that Matt is very professional, responsive, and thorough with all the details, and went over all options/prices quickly. His team worked efficiently moving the furniture and removing/installing the carpet. They put everything back into place quickly, and had the whole place finished in about 6-7 hours from start to finish. It was exactly what we needed in a crunch.

There was a mix up on the carpet ( wrong type) that came in so instead of Matt just installing it he called us to let us know. Matt could have installed what came in and we probably wouldn't have known the difference but because he is honest, we set up another appointment to meet at our house to pick out another carpet. We setup another date for installation ( a week later) and had the other carpet installed. He had some better quality padding than what we ordered so he installed that at no extra cost because of the mix up. Matt arrived on time for our appointments and to install the carpet. He had three employees with him for the installation. Super nice, all of them! They did an excellent job with everything. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone. I did a lot of research on purchasing carpet since it is a big investment. Speaking of big, I stayed away from the big retail installers since you never know who is going to install the carpet for them. I am sure there are other honest installers out there but buyer beware.

Matt was made this whole experience a joy. He was very professional from our first phone call through the installation process. He arrived on time and stayed in contact while our carpet was being ordered. We love our new carpet and could not be happier with this service we received.

Matt showed up on time for our appointment, gave us lots of options and the price was right. Nice guy and the house turned out beautiful. Had 3 bedrooms and a hallway carpeted. Would definitely work with him again and would recommend him. Easiest part of our house renovation by far.

I would recommend Matt the carpet guy to all my friends,family and co workers! We originaly had Lowes scheduled to install our capet but they said they could not have the carpet until 2 weeks. So, on last minute notice (one week) Matt came out and gave me an estimate ASAP. Once we agreed on a price he ordered the carpet and completed the job in 6 hours! Matt and his crew did an awesome job! If you have any carpet needs call Matt the carpet guy!

I shopped the big box carpet warehouse stores and got an education in carpet and all the shenanigans involved with installation. If I found a well priced carpet I felt like the installation costs would nickel and dime me to death. If installation was a deal the carpet wasn't. I gave up looking for straight answers until I received Matt's coupon in a value pak in the mail. I emailed him (I'm hard of hearing so email is best for me) and told him what I was looking for. He immediately returned my email and was available to meet with me and my wife at our home, at our convenience. He is a nice young man with four kids and one on the way. He is very knowledge of carpet and showed us Mohawk Carpets and Dream Weaver carpets and other brands. He measured, checked the pad (it was fine), inspected the furniture placement etc. and quoted us prices that were inclusive of everything -carpet, install, removal, et. etc. We paid $2.82 per sq. ft. ---total-- and the carpet is the nicest we've ever purchased. We paid a 50% down payment with our order.. He and his crew of three returned a week or so later and installed the carpet and which they professionally installed. They took care of moving all our furniture and returning it to where they found it. They vacuumed and cleaned-up every shred of carpet. Throughout the process the crew was cordial and responsive to me and even my dog who isn't crazy about workmen in the house. Matt can compete with the big stores because he has no overhead. He orders carpet on-demand and installs it immediately. In a service business like this who needs a warehouse full of samples. What we needed was someone who could look at what we had, hear what we want, and deliver at a fixed priced we liked. Matt did all this and more. I would not hesitate to use Matt again or recommended him to a friend.

I had a renter damage my carpet, Matt The Carpet Guy offered excellent service at a very fair price. I would recommend, Although repairing the carpet would have been a very quick and affordable option, I opted to repair my living room carpet. I am more than pleased that it was a perfect match to the rest of my condo. I highly recommend Matt the Carpet Guy in Ocean City, MD.
