Phoned Jim Stephens at 8 am and he was here by 10- replaced our water heater and also repaired a toilet, which had been improperly installed by another plumber several years ago. I highly recommend this plumber, he is efficient, and went the extra mile to find out if our water heater was still under warranty (it was) which saved us $550!

The service turned out very good. He is a nice guy and seems to know what he was doing. The work was a little expensive but he did a good job. He has done a good job on all of the work we have had him do. He has also guided us through situations as well by answering questions that I have over the phone or in person.

The service was excellent. He took his time to explain the issues to us. The level of detail and carefulness were impressive to me.

They are wonderful. He is easy to work with and fantastic. I highly recommend him to anybody. They are going to be doing more work for me. I am going to have him back to do some work in the kitchen. I was very happy with the service.

Great and quick Service. Emailed Saturday evening around 8 pm called me in about 10 minutes. Was able to come over around 10 am on Sunday

Fine. A simple job but beyond the scope of washing machine delivery/installation crew so had to get a plumber. Mr. Stephens responded very quickly (so we didn't have to wait long for new delivery), was very professional, and it was nice to get Angie's List discount. But it still seemed a lot to pay for such a simple task, but I guess that's the price of a house call and not being able to do it yourself.

I called Jim around 12:00pm on Friday and told him that I was having a problem with the pipe. I was extremely impressed with his responsiveness, as he was at my house at 3:30pm. Fifteen minutes later the pipe was unclogged and the problem was fixed. Jim explained what conditions can cause this clog and suggested a few things I can do to prevent this from happening again.

Mr. Stephens came out on Saturday to fix a toilet for us since we have company coming next week. He arrived a little early and had all of the parts necessary to repair the flange, flange screws and valve. He was professional and I was very happy with his service.

Noticed a growing Watermark on a Living Room Ceiling directly under a Bathroom Vanity. Noticed the problem at 6 PM on a Friday and dreaded trying to locate a Plumber. To my surprise Jim answered the phone and not an answering service. He offered to come the following day (Saturday). Jim called before coming and let me know he would arrive in 15 minutes. He checked the Bathroom found not signs of the leak and diagnosed that the problem was under a Bathroom Vanity and it would be best to open the Living Room Ceiling to look for the leak. I agreed. Jim found a leaking Hot Water Supply pipe and repaired the pipe. Before starting work Jim put down a Drop Cloth and a bucket. After repairing the Pipe he cleaned the area where the ceiling was cut and removed the ceiling debris and emptied and remove the water bucket. Nothing left for me to clean and the problem was professionally fixed without the drama normally involved to ask a Plumber to come out on a Saturday. Jim is a very skilled Plumber, great communicator and I would not hesitate to use him again.

Plumber was very responsive. I called him in morning and he was here by early afternoon. He completed the job in about 2 hours. Now I just have to replace the tile/wall removed to get to the valve.

I had an emergency situation with water a water leak in my kitchen. I joined Angie's list and found J.M. Stephens Plumbing & Heating. Being that the company had Sunday hours listed I called them and the owner made an appointment to come over the same day to assess the situation. Jim was prompt and very knowledgeable. He took all of the measures to check out everything before deciding what needed to be done. I am very happy to have found this company and will use Jim for future plumbing issues.

Typically, I forward a plumbing request to Jim, at JM Stephens Plumbing & Heating, and he calls to coordinate the repair with our tenant. Jim completes the plumbing repair in a timely and professional manner, cleans up his work area, and submits an invoice. I follow up with our tenant to make sure the work was completed properly, and process the invoice.

I've depended on Jim for a few years. I called him this morning at 830am and he fit me in to repair a leaking sink at 10am. When you call he assesses the problem over the phone. He's punctual. Brings all the supplies. And does a neat and quick job. He took all his trash and mess with him and the floor was spotless-possibly cleaner then he found it. I appreciate knowing who is coming to do the job(especially if it's just my wife and kids at home) and his 20-30years experience.

Jim is very personable, on the inital call he asked if the problem was an emergency and I told him it wasn't. He told me he was doing a job and would call the next day to set up a time. Jim arrived a few minutes early as he had never been here before and did not want to be late, I for one appreciate that as most people are late as a rule. Jim did the work, explained what he was going to do and then what he did and showed me how to change the filter. We are planning to use him again.

Their response has been excellent. They are always prompt. They will give you a price when they come to your door and check the job. I have no complaints with them at all. They have also done work for my sister. Anytime you give them a call he will give you an answer on the phone or come to check the job out. They clean up behind themselves.

He did a pretty good job. He is always a plumber that I call back. I had called him once about a leaky pipe, way beyond the year that he had installed it, and he fixed it. It was well beyond what I felt was a normal warranty. He did the work with no questions asked. He is very smart.

Jim B and his wife came when we called. He is friendly, professional and he is the only plumber we will call.

I met with Jim, after meeting with two other Angie List plumbers. I selected JM Stephens Plumbing because he took time to explain what he would do and how it would be done. We also wanted inline water turn-offs replaced and he cleaned up some of the shabby plumbing on the water heater from a previous installer. His estimate stated exactly what he would do, what it would cost and he took the time to discuss the job so that I could understand what would be done. He is very personable, honest and the work he performed was excellent. I felt such confidence in working with Jim that I hired him to install the dryer upon delivery. He came out right after they delivered the dryer, hooked it up and checked the gas fireplace and got it working before he left. It was a great experience to find someone so helpful, qualified and honest.

He is good and he runs a professional service. He is conveniently available and helped when I needed him to. I would highly recommend him. He is expensive but I think all plumbers are. He did a good job.

Overall, I was very pleased with Jim Stephens' plumbing services. He communicated clearly and helpfully. He was reliable, prompt, knowledgeable, and provided clear explanations about the problem and the alternatives. His work was very good quality and he emphasized the reliability of his labor, skills and product. His prices were reasonable. I would definitely hire him for plumbing services in the future. Also, I might hire him for heating problems as well.
