Excellent. Timely service. Expertly completed. Both Mr. Stephens and his assistant were very personable. I am rating the price as A. I thought it may have been a little high but truly had no idea what to expect. However the quality outweighs my concern.

I called Jim in the afternoon one day. He fixed the faucet the next morning. I like the prompt, courteous, expert service!

Excellent job installing two new Toto toilets. Hauled away old ones. Jim is professional and very pleasant to work with. This was my first experience with him and he's going to be my plumber from here on out. Have recommended him to several friends. We had a Kohler faucet that was several years old and begin to malfunction. I contacted Jim to replaced the Kohler provided valve and replace our garbage disposal. To no fault of Jim's the valve did not work and the pressure from the sink was very low. There was an issue with the supply line that was inadvertently compromised. I called Jim and without hesitation he agreed to install new faucet at no cost. I can't express how much I appreciate his professionalism. Will call him for all future plumbing needs.

The provider gave me a quote over the phone for 350 and asked what was going on with the sump pump I had. I explained that it was not working at all, he then asked where it was and asked me to describe what it looked like. I gave the description and he stayed firm on the price which was less than other that responded to my request. He arrived on time, took a look at the pump and got to working. It all took less than an hour to install. He verified how it worked and explained the warranty also. Very professional.

I'm glad I found Jim's information on Angie's List. We were in a real bind, and he was able to juggle his schedule to clear our drain with relatively little notice (and for a first-time customer, too). He worked fast, explained everything, and charged a reasonable rate: it was easily a hundred or more less than Roto-Rooter, and I prefer to hire local experts in any case. The drain is clear, and we haven't had any problems since. Jim coordinates his appointments via text messages, which is very convenient. Will definitely call on him again! (Oh, and NEVER put broccoli salad down your disposal--just sayin'...)

Provider was very friendly and informative. Quoted prices so there was no surprise or evaluation cost. Kept us informed about delay for bone colored toilets with marching seats. Work was done quickly and professionally with no messes left behind. Guarantees his work for one year. I was very happy with Angie's List recommendation.

Went remarkably well, and the problem was corrected.

Mr. Stephens was contacted in the evening at his home. He responded promptly to my request since I was having difficulty locating the shut . off valve. He knew exactly what to do when he arrived when I told him that both of my kitchen sink drains were clogged. He unclogged the basement drain, turned the water back on, tested the clogged sink pipes and examined the piping for other problems. He provided an estimate for work that could be preventative. I will consider this in the future. His charge was very fair considering the situation. He is always highly professional as he has been in the past. I am particularly that he did this in the evening without a surcharge.

Jim wasn't especially friendly on the phone, but was very responsive via e-mail and scheduled and performed the service within 2 days after I first contacted him. Very friendly in-person and explained what he had done after the install was complete. We hadn't discussed price beforehand and I was surprised the job was so pricey for labor only, but the work appears to have been done really well and we are enjoying the use of our faucet again! All in all I will happily contact Jim for future plumbing needs, but I'll be sure to get an estimate first.

We had a section of mostly horizontal sloped waste drain pipe constructed of cast-iron that had been degrading for some time. In a couple places it was starting to ooze, and there was at least one part that didn't slope properly (drain pipe has to slope 'downhill', and we had one small section with a slight uphill slope to it). The pipe had not yet failed catastrophically (so this wasn't a horrible stinky emergency, thankfully), and we knew it would need eventual replacement. They were punctual in both coming out to the house for the estimate and similarly on the scheduled day of work. Jim and his helper came out and very efficiently removed the old cast-iron and installed new PVC drain pipe as a replacement. The workmanship is excellent, and they were careful to get the old pipe out without damaging anything. All in all, I'm highly satisfied with the work and would certainly hire them again for more plumbing work.

It went. great. Jim Stephens arrived on time. He was completely thorough in his inspection. Gave clear and concise answers to all of my questions and was very fair in his estimates for future work.

Everything went great. I purchased a Toilet from a local plumbing supply. I then called Jim, the owner. He said he would try to fit me in after a current job he was on. Two days later he called to to do the job. He picked up the toilet from the plumbing supply co, and arrived when he said he would. He was very professional and neat. He and his helper cleaned up as they went along. I definitely would use JM Stephens again.

Mr Stephens hauled away my old leaky water heater and installed a new one.He provided prompt ,professional service and at a very reasonable price.This is the second time that he has done work for me.I would highly recommend him and I would use him again for any future plumbing needs.

Both times, Mr Stephens was prompt, careful, courteous and performed the necessary plumbing requirements efficiently and professionally. He cleaned up after both installations, and in the case of the outside spigot, also made sure that the insulation - disturbed during the process of installing the new line - was put back the way it was originally. We were very pleased with the workmanship, and will use Mr. Stephens again for other plumbing jobs in the future.

This was a very good experience. He told us what the cost for the WH would be up front. He explained the reason for the expansion tank that we needed. Because of the limited access space that the water heater was in, there was an additional charge. The gas line had to be moved and we opted to have the pan drain installed and run to the condensation drain for our AC. He also replaced the water valves that were not working. After the job was finished, Mr. Stephens explained and showed us everything he did. His helper, Wayne was very polite and cleaned everything up after the job was finished. We would highly, highly recommend J.M. Plumbing and Heating to anyone who wants fast, professional, friendly service at a very reasonable and fair price.

This was a job I attempted myself with no luck, so I looked for a plumber in Angie's List and decided on J.M. Stephens. Jim and his assistant arrived within the time we set. They were friendly, cordial and went about their work diligently. I am very pleased with the results.

First of all, 75 gallon gas water heaters are very difficult to come by at this time. When I initially called Mr. Stephens, he worked very, very hard to find one for me. In addition, he gave me the most reasonable quote for the job of the several calls I made. Furthermore, all of the other companies I called for comparison insisted on making an initial inspection that would cost me. Mr. Stephens was willing to work off of pictures that I sent him and information that I gave him from an earlier inspection. He worked on the project from the time I called and even into the evening. He was extremely professional and I plan to call him in the future for all plumbing needs. I feel relieved to know that I have a plumber to call on that I can count on that is knowledgeable, reliable and reasonable in price. I would recommend him to everyone. Overall, from the very first phone call I made to him, I had the impression he wasn't taking on the job just to make a buck, but he enjoyed his work, and wanted to satisfy his customer and do it right. He demonstrated this through his consistent efforts in finding the heater and getting the job done quickly so I could have hot water restored quickly. He could very easily have asked for more money but did the right thing. He's a gem and a good find!

It went great. Jim brought the water heater to my home which was very helpful and convenient for me. He brought it in being very careful not to make any mess - it was raining. He had a young apprentice. They installed the new water heater in just a few hours. When it was finished, he showed me all the features with a good explanation of its operation. He took the old heater and left the area where he was working neat and tidy. The price was exactly as expected. I was very pleased with the whole process and Jim is a great person to work with. Will definitely use again.
