It is our pleasure to welcome you to Troy Granite. Troy Granite is a family owned granite fabrication factory with over 25 years experience on natural stone industry. From estimator to shop worker, from manager to driver, from secretary to installer, from designer to machine operator; we have more than 50 fully trained members in our family working same mentality everyday: to treat our customers the way we want to be treated. We are Delaware State based, licensed, and a fully insured corporation, serving Pennsylvania, Maryland and south New Jersey. Providing granite, marble, flooring and more. Description of Work: Everything went very well up until the installation. The sales staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. The tech showed up on time to make the final measurements and he was very professional and considerate. The installation crew showed up on time. They did not protect the new floor and they got it very gritty and dirty. The sales manager did not return my call nor offer assistance when I called to complain. Not sure if I'd use them again given the final issue with the flooring which I also bought from them for $1,200.

Description of Work: We had semi-custom Schrock cabinets and a granite countertop installed. Troy was very responsive to two minor issues, with same-day fixes made. They worked well with our general contractor and flooring people. Troy Granite was a pleasure to work with.

Description of Work: Very professional company. The estimater Dan was punctual and answered all my questions and was very experienced in countertops. He made my wife feel comfortable throughout the process and the visit to their showroom/warehouse which houses over a hundred slabs on display to pick from, this was done very well they give you a clipboard and paper worksheet to pick out the slabs you like without a salesman bothering you. I highly recommend this location.

Description of Work: It all started out well with the punctual arrival of a technician who brought tile samples , measured the area and gave an estimate of the cost. He suggested that I might want to add to the kitchen countertops a granite top replacement for the divider between my kitchen and family room, to which I agreed. At no time did he allude to the possibility that removing the existing wood "shelf" could result in large ", unsightly "gaps". Not only did that occur, but the granite was installed with a substantial gap between the end of the piece and the wall. To add insult to injury, the installation crew did not clean up and left debris on my kitchen and family room floor. None of that would have resulted in this review had not Troy Granite apologized immediately and not made excuses for their shoddy workmanship The billing office was calling even before I had a chance to give a review to get my payment balance. The company did send two nice young men to "patch up" the mistakes ( according to them) of the installers who did the initial job who were tasked with getting a payment for the balance, without my speaking with anyone in this company about my satisfaction or lack thereof. Bad experience!!

First of all, we want to thank you for your feedback. We regret that your experience with Troy Granite was not completely positive and apologize for any problems or inconvenience you may have encountered. Your satisfaction is very important to us and we did not meet your expectations. So for that, we are sorry; however, I do want to offer our perspective as well. When our estimate technician came to your free in-home estimate and suggested that you replace the wooden wall cap with a granite top he did mention that there may be areas that you may need to touch up paint. While our installers are careful to try to minimize any necessary touch ups, when the trim was removed in order to place the top on, it did remove some paint as well. We apologize for the inconvenience. Unfortunately, it sometimes occurs when countertops or trim work are removed. Regarding the gap. We are sorry that the piece was not installed correctly the first time. It was placed slightly askew, creating a gap at the wall. As well, our installers did not completely clean up their work space before leaving. We have a mission to leave your kitchen more beautiful than we found it, but by not properly cleaning up after ourselves, we failed in that regard and I am sorry. Despite those issues, I do not want you to feel that we were simply trying to “get the money and get out.” When our accounting department called regarding the final balance, you let them know that you were unhappy, so they transferred you directly to a manager. We wanted to make sure you were satisfied before collecting the final balance. Our manager apologized for the issues and asked if he could send a crew back out right away to both correct the gap and properly clean up the site after the installation. As you had previous arrangements it would not work, so we scheduled for a crew to return a few days later. Understandably, by that time you had already cleaned the kitchen, but our crew straightened the wall cap and thus corrected the gap at the wall. They reviewed the work done with you and asked if you were fully satisfied. Once you had the opportunity to review and approve everything they collected the final balance. Customer satisfaction and a job well done are vitally important to us, and we apologize if we were unable to deliver on either of these expectations for you. If you have any further concerns please do not hesitate to contact us. Again, thank you for taking the time to write this review. Description of Work: They were very easy to deal with. We went to the Newark site and selected the Granite we liked. They priced it and offered edge finishes, sink selection and offered a free faucet if we wanted it. I placed my order over the phone, based on the estimates I was given. They arrived at my house on time on the date of the template take offs and followed up a week later with the installation. All worked according to plan and we were very happy with the end result.

Description of Work: We went to the showroom to look for granite for a kitchen counter top. There were lots of "sales" people standing around. We were given a clipboard and told we would be assigned a sales person. He took us to look at the slabs and said mark the names of those you like. We asked about pricing and his response was anywhere from $30 a square foot to over $100. We asked for examples and he said, "pick what you might like first". Then he left us alone. We walked the showroom and outside to look at the slabs and marked those we might want to consider. We came back inside and could not locate this person. We approached another man who said, "I am only in marketing, I don't know the prices but I will get someone." My husband and I sad around for 20 minutes and finally left without a price and a bad taste about this company. I am purchasing my counter top elsewhere and find it hard to believe they have any good reviews!

I am sorry for the inconvenience you experienced while visiting us and I remember you and your husband visiting us on Saturday, I belive you were in a rush because you waited only couple minutes and left. We were short-handed that day and were not able to give you the expedient service that we normally offer. As you mentioned, we generally suggest that our customers take the time to walk around our warehouse to view the slabs. Most of our customers appreciate being able to take their time to look at all the stones we have available (200 color and 2000 slab) before speaking with a salesperson. I apologize if that made it feel as if we were not attentive enough, that was not our intent at all. If you would allow us, we would appreciate the opportunity to make things right. In fact, if you have not already purchased your granite countertop elsewhere, we would like to compare whatever quotes you have received elsewhere. Again, we thank you for your feedback and look forward to the opportunity to serve you.

Troy has a large and diverse selection of granite slabs and lets you take your time to look them all over. My only wish is that there is no way to know what the price per square foot is until you sit down with a sales representative. This was true for the other granite companies I considered as well. Troy provided a small contractor discount which was nice as well as a free faucet. The sink was a great value, too. There was no charge for a well crafted half bullnose edge. Overall, their pricing is very competitive. I was impressed with their attention to detail - not only did they come to my home and check my measurements, they also invited me to come to their shop to review how the slab would be cut in order to assure me that the grain and colors would line up properly with the least # of seams. Suggest you bring ear plugs because this is done in their cutting area and it is a bit loud. All the staff were knowledgeable and personable. Responses to questions and concerns were prompt and helpful. On the day of installation, they arrived on-time and the two man crew was friendly, efficient and highly competent. The install took about 3 hours. Very pleased with the results! Overall, the entire experience was very positive.
Description of Work: New granite counter tops for my kitchen - about 38 sq ft. and 4 inch granite back splash. Also supplied a new stainless steel double bowl sink and a new faucet. I used a contractor to remove the old laminate tops and a plumber to re-connect the sink, disposal and dishwasher after installation. While Troy would have provided this removal and plumbing service, it was less expensive it have it done separately.

Call Troy Granite and an estimator was at my home within 2 days. They measured my countertops, showed me a large selection of granite samples - which was great because I could match the granite to the cabinets, and they quoted the job on the spot. Once I decided to go with Troy Granite they emailed me the contract for review and signature. The consultant advised that there were two different colors for the granite I selected; a light and dark. I decided to go to the showroom and select the granite on site. Once that was done they were at my home within 5 days for installation. They were on time and very professional. They took care not to scrap or bang any cabinets or drywall. Total time for install was two hours. The entire experience was great.
