Description of Work: I had my house tested for radon and it came up high. I did some shopping around and went with B-Dry because I'd heard good things about them. They said it was $5,300 to have the radon mitigation system done and to encapsulate my crawl space as well. I called and verified they would be able to do everything, and they said they could. I was on vacation at the time, but I left a check for $5,300 with my 75 year old dad to give to them. They came out, told my dad they were done, took the check and left. When I got back, I noticed that they didn't leave me a radon testing kit, which they were supposed to do, and when I checked the basement , maybe 1/4 of the crawlspace had been encapsulated. They put the radon system on the wrong side of the house as well. I called them and asked about everything and they said they would send someone back out. They came out unprepared and didn't know what they were supposed to be doing. I called the company while they were there and they said to just see how it goes. I left again, and when I got back, it was still very poorly done. The encapsulation was taped to wiring, literally hanging from electrical wiring and a water pipe, and it was taped to the floor joist as well. It was not done correctly. I've called them again, and they argued with me saying that it was an adequate enough job and that there was nothing wrong with it. After a lot of attitude and arguing, they said they would send someone out again. It was supposed to have taken a day, and it has now been over a month.

Description of Work: I can't even begin to recall when the work was done. We actually had our basement treated in 3 sections, each time believing that the problem was localized. I also can't begin to tell you how much the work cost, but it was worth every penny!

Overall, they were prompt. Worked very quickly. I was impressed with the clean up. They put up a plastic barrier on the top of my basement stairs to keep smoke out of the rest of the house. Just a few problems but they did come back to fix the issues they said they would. Though, electrical wires were exposed as well as the ceiling of the basement around the perimeter. Customer service was well responsive even after email about concerns. I wish the sales person would have been a bit more informative as far as what certain things they would and would not do upon finishing the job.
Description of Work: Excavated interior floor in basement and put in sump well. Took down old panelling and cemented. Cleared all panelling and debris. Waterproofed and protective plastic wall, also treated the walls.

The project went well, we did run into a couple of issues, but they communicated the problems and told us how to they were addressing the issue. One issue that came up was the old sewer pipe around the wall started to leak. They recommended that we replace the entire pipe instead of one piece. The supervisor contacted a Plumber who was $1000, less than my plumber for the work. We now have new sewer pipes and a dry basement. The workers were very nice young men. They were on time and cleaned up everyday. They really did a great job on the project. Plus they were super polite and nice to my children when they wanted to see what was going on each day. I would recommend using B-Dry if you have any basement water issues.
Description of Work: B-Dry water proofed our basement and installed their full wall system as well. Our basement is 30 by 36 feet so it is a large project.

We have had zero problems with water since they installed the system and the air quality is also much better. The healthy home air system has really helped with odors (they're gone) and it also helps with radon removal. We feel confident now that we can renovate or fix up our basement whereas before it was a place we avoided. They were not the cheapest bid but I was impressed with their company's history, the ongoing guarantee that transfers to a new owner, and the fact that they were the only company to 100% guarantee the sump pump as well. I highly recommend them. They also did the work right on schedule and cleaned up nicely.
Description of Work: We had hydrostatic pressure and corner/window well leaking whenever it rained heavily in our cinder-block basement. We also had odors coming up from the basement due to dampness even though we rain a dehumidifier 24/7. B-Dry installed a perimeter drain and we also had them install their healthy home air system that reverses airflow in the house from top to bottom and pumps it outside.

Rep arrived on-time. After reviewing and looking over the issue, he advised of less costly do-it-yourself type options to attempt prior to enlisting their services. Rep seemed knowledgeable about the subject matter.

They installed a french drain and a sump along the half of our foundation that needed it. The other half didn't need it. They appear to do good work. The work was held since the time of the estimate that they had put in. They were on the job when they said. I don't recall any problems with them. This is the necessary work to begin with, but they were good about it. They had to pick some stuffs out of the basement. I would have them come back if I had more problems with the basement. I would recommend them.
Description of Work: I used the services of B-Dry Systems of Central Jersey for basement waterproofing. I used them probably eight years ago.

We have a radon remediation system in our basement so it took us a long time to decide to go with B-Dry. Of particular concern was their suggestion for an open trench drain around our Bilco door to catch some moisture that was coming in under the door. We were advised by our Radon Remediation installer that an open drain would not work with the remediation system so we decided to just install the perimeter drain up to the Bilco doors. I was concerned about how the system would work with the radon remediation system, so I asked the salesman and he said that they worked around these systems all the time and they could seal up the system so that it would not interfere with the radon fan. The crew showed up and did their work. When they left my wife and I noticed a severe vibration in our bedroom, which is directly over the radon fan. When I went to investigate, it was coming from the fan. We called the installer and when they came out and inspected the fan, it was filled with concrete dust and particles from when B-Dry did their work. They did not switch off the fan when the jackhammed out underneath of it, so it sucked up all of the dirt and debris. It cost me $325 to replace the fan which was less than a month old because we had just had the remediation system installed. I called the salesman, Charlie Y, and he said that I would have to call the office. I did and left a message. No one returned my call. I followed up with a fax of the bill from the radon company for replacement of the fan. I then received a call from Rich L. He was immediately combative, and flat out said that he was not going to reimburse me for the fan. He tried to put it back on me saying that if I was so concerned about the Radon system, I should have shut off the fan before his workman arrived. The fact that his salesman told me his workmen were familiar with working around these systems meant nothing to him. Additionally, the radon fan is a good 18-20 inches from the wall, so I had no idea they were going to excavate out that far. When I indicated that I would be discussing this further with my attorney he, without missing a beat, directed me to the contract where it accepts to reimburse them for any costs associated with an unsuccessful lawsuit. The fact that they have that clause and are so quick to reference it makes me believe that they are no stranger to unhappy customers or lawsuits. Of course $325 was not worth pursuing, which he well knew. This company is franchised, so don't even try to go to corporate - they are unscrupulous and do not care about their customers. DO NOT WORK WITH THEM.
Description of Work: Installed perimeter waterproofing system along uphill side of basement. I worked with the franchise out of Springield, PA.

My house came w/a B-Dry warranty for basement to be free from water leakage for the full life of the structure. Have lot of leakage. Placed a service call. Received 8-word quote for repair work. Called to discuss the quote, ask questions, and educate myself on the work quoted. When I asked why it wasn't covered by the B-Dry warranty, was advised to get an attorney and have the B-Dry records for my house subpoenaed. I wanted answers to questions about the work they proposed for my basement. They were vague and rude. I don't mind paying for work; just want to know why it's not covered by warranty. They shouted, I don't have time to play games with you. I talked to corporate, filed a BBB complaint, and filed a complaint with Bucks County Consumer Protection. They presented false information in response to complaints I filed. Am filing this report to share my experience and hope no one else goes through what I did with B-Dry.
Description of Work: No work actually performed. I purchased a house that already had a B-Dry system installed across the entire basement. Original homeowner did pass warranty certificate to me. Discovered several leaks, and contacted local office, who left me frustrated and full of questions. Contacted B-Dry corporate office to resolve my leakage issues. Corporate did very little to help. I then opened a case with the BBB and the Bucks County Consumer Protection Agency. Issues are closed, but considered unresolved with agencies. B-Dry never offered to apologize, and wouldn't give me a detailed quote in writing. They know I have leakage. Yet, they don't seem to take pride in their work and don't care that my home has a B-Dry system that leaks.
