Description of Work: I walked in just as thet were about to isstall a new hot water heater for my 91 year old father at a cost of $1,100. It was obvious they were taking advantage of my fathers age. The young man from Boulden was a nervous wreck talking to me. I literally had to chase him off the property. Next day I purchased a new unit (Boulden had taken the heating element and thermostate out and did not return them)for $400 and paid someone $100 to install it. Boulden belongs in the catagory of crooks and thieves.

Description of Work: Paid to clear a drain and didn't,just made it worse and now my downstairs smell like sewer,they snaked the basement drain for about 20 minutes and came to the conclusion that I needed a new sewer line that would cost me 3500 dollars without even double checking anything else they did not even check the main sewer line for any other blockage is elsewhere they just assume that there was a break in line outside that had to be fixed they didn't even do a camera inspection or anything else just after 30 minutes is I neededa new line outside,complete scam,don't use and they won't refund my money

Description of Work: Boulden was recommended to me to install a new heating a/c unit. It has been the most horrendous experience of my life. I got the unit- and it promptly broke. They will NOT stand behind their product. I got them to come out and fix it for free, but I was told I will have to pay for it "if it happens again." I have had them out about 6-7 times and fought with them every step of the way. They claim that if you are not happy, they will remove the unit. That is a lie. Only if one certain part breaks- and that one has not- yet. The unit cost me $11,000. It has broken every single season and now I am "required" to buy their $199/year service contract to get the basic service for free.

Description of Work: Mother's heat pump blew. Mother lives alone and is 76 years old. She had a "platinum service plan" with Boulden. In addition to a whole ridiculous story of how Boulden left my mother without heat overnight in 20 degree weather, the real shocker was: the issue was needed a new circuit breaker (a 60 AMP GE circuit breaker) as this was why heater kept shutting off. Boulden told me they would get it from their supplier and cost of part itself was $230. I said "seems high" and I called Home Depot. Home Depot sold same exact part for $11.49. No lie. A $215.00 markup! Called back Boulden and they had no explanation. Obvioiusly, we replaced it ourselves. But beware. A company who leaves 76 year old woman in a freezing cold house overnight (when they could have bought the blown fuse at the home depot 3 miles away) and then tries the next morning to charge her 240 bucks for a 12 dollar part is NOT to be trusted in any way.
