Furnace work price seemed high for a very standard, simple job. Very good quality work but you will be charged for their experience and reputation.

Provided me with an estimate to replace my HVAC system. I went from a heat pump to a hybrid (heat pump/ gas furnace) system. Estimate included finding solutions to the poor job that was done when system I purchased the house with was installed, inspection and repair of existing runs, adding a new run, moving a vent and installing a return in a family room addition that is always too cold. Derek Adams provided me with the options and was the project manager for the work. I went with a York system that thanks to Derek and his fast thinking just went on sale from York. Provided a written estimate and then a proposal. Work began as estimated and the crew was excellent. Sometimes I would have several crews working at once. Problems encountered were solved and tackled. Did not have a problem going above and beyond. Work required an electrician which they have on staff and plumbers that they also have on staff. Gas company took a few days for inspection so they made sure to have the heat pump side running since the weekend was forecast to be hot! Passed inspection and system was completed. They came back on request to tackle a noise issue from one of my old returns. System came with all warranties and one year maintenance agreement. I just had them come out for the fall service since it is getting cold. Scheduled for next morning! Previous night the gas furnace was trying to run but couldn't. Service tech tackled that and had the original install crew come back and solve the issue. The system is running great after a few very cold nights and switches between gas and heat pump with no issues. I highly recommend this company. I plan on renewing the maintenance yearly. I would also like to add that for this project I had estimates done from about 8 local and regional firms. Prices varied a lot and most offered zero solutions just basically replacement and continue to deal with the same issues. This firm did not have the lowest but best value for the type of system and the work performed.

He came out to take a look and he said the work was a piece of cake and that he would get back to me with an estimate but I haven't heard back from him.

I was very satisfied overall. They ended up deciding it would be best to send two plumbers, but I believer they only charged me for one. They were willing to just do and charge me for what needed immediate attention; they don't try to up-sell you to spend more. Sometimes it may take thm a few days to schedule their visit, but otherwise I think they are a very good choice. They have been around for a long time and seem to know what they are doing. I've used George Sherman plumbing services for probably over 20 years. I've found them generally compenant, honest and easy to reach to discuss whatever plumbing issue has arisen.

I had a slow leak in a water pipe in my kitchen ceiling. I called Sherman and set up an appointment specifying that it had to be attended to before noon that day, (Friday May 4th). They called fifteen minutes ahead of time to confirm that they would be coming by 8 AM. The plumber John came and looked at the area and made a repair to what seemed to be the cause of the leak. After the weekend had passed, the leak became more evident and I called Sherman and asked to send John back. He arrived on time again the next morning and replaced the leaky pipe for NO CHARGE. Sherman stands behind their work, and John was very professional and courteous. I recommend them.

It was done in a rental house. It was leaking down through the floor. The piping was not set properly. I didn't know it for a couple of years, until ceiling down below fell in. When I reported to them, they came out and fixed the problem with the air handler, and at their expense to replace the ceiling. Two years ago, they put in a heat pump for me. Then I called them again because I wanted carrier brand coal stove model as it has an extra coating of some metal stuff on the coil to keep solid air from corroding it. I specified in detail that I wanted a coal stove model. It cost $500 more and they charged me $500 more. I paid it. After they put it in, I climbed up on the ladder, and looked up the serial number. I went on the carrier website and it was not a coal stove model. I called them up and said it is not a coal stove model. He said he gave me exactly what I wanted. I said but it isn't and he can go on the website to find out. After much arguing, I asked them to switch it to a cold stove model because I paid for it and I wanted it. They came in and put in a new one. I went up there again and looked it was a coal stove model. Both times with only a little haggling, they repaired their errors. It is my opinion that they have expanded too rapidly in recent years, and it is hard to get all the people to be genuine. They are one of the best names out here. I was really angry at putting the wrong heat pump. It was a purpose for deceit on their part; but they did it when I caught it. They changed it. They said they thought that I wanted one put in immediately. It would have taken them two weeks to get a coal stove model from warehouse and they put one that was in the stock; but I said when I called them that I was in no hurry because my heat pump worked fine. It is just that I wanted to get it replaced because I am going to retire soon. They simply tried to trick me; but they did the job and replaced it after I caught their deceit. When the air handler was leaking, the tenants thought the water was coming from the bathroom right beside the air handler room. I called George Sherman and sent them over to the tenant's place. They gave me a report that they are no leak in that bathroom. They charged me $80 for the service fee. Nobody checked their file because they have installed an air handler for me and they could have checked then itself, if the air handler is leaking. It was the third time they came over. They came over three times to repair and make sure it was not leaking. Then they came back even when I wasn't there several times because they have a key and checked it out. They did a lot of work without charging me until they finally got it fixed. Air handler ran all over the day and there was no leakage. They had not done their work carefully for the first time. Their price is not cheap. Their over time billing starts at 3:30 in the afternoon that just a little thing they do to earn extra money. When I called them on Friday before Memorial Day to tell the air handler was leaking, and they said they are closed. They said they would not work on the Memorial Day also, so they won't be back until Tuesday. It leaked through the ceiling from Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. They came out on Wednesday, but the ceiling fell on Tuesday. No one down there is cheap and punctual. I will use them because they are one of the big names here. I told them I would sue them if they will not fix the air handler, so to save their reputation, they completed the work.

They are outstanding. Their work is excellent and is always right the first time. They are reasonably priced. We have used them for well over 10 years and have always been happy with their work. The inspection was very thorough, they were here for two hours, and they checked everything to make sure it was working properly. They also taught me how to winterize my outside shower, which will save me money in the future.

Very professional, prompt and courteous. Quick and efficient as usual. They have also installed plumbing to my washer/dryer and installed duct work and a whole house air conditioning unit. All guaranteed work!

I like him very much other than the fact that the heater broke down and he had to replace it. They did a very nice job. They were very professional about it. I'm quite satisfied. I got three estimates and they were a little high. I actually have a maintenance contract with them and the service they provided was well over the hired cost. They were very knowledgeable. Once they found what the problem was, they sent someone out to look over things and recommended a new heat pump for us. He did so and they actually moved the heat pump because the location of the heat pump was not good. So they moved it for us and we were quite satisfied. I think they are fair and do good work. I have a maintenance contract with them for probably two years now and I've been very satisfied with them. There were a number of things that went wrong with this heat pump and they repaired it several times at no additional cost because I had the maintenance agreement. I would use their services again in the future.

They had a done a check-up a week before and had not found anything. They came in very quickly (within 24 hours). I have no complaints, but they aren t perfect. If they would have caught it when they did the check-up, they wouldn t have had to come back. I absolutely would hire them again because it s hard to get a reliable plumber in Lewis. These guys, if they don t fix it the first time, they come back in less than 24 hours. I like the fact that they come through, dress nice, and are responsible; I can put up with them. They do a lot of things for us and I will continue using them.
