1st State Window Cleaning provides all that they promise. They show up on time and call before they arrive. They are professional, personable, hard-working and get the job done within the time frame agreed upon. Their price is reasonable and competitive. Best of all they do a great job cleaning your windows. They were so clean it looked like the glass had been removed!

The crew was courteous and on time. I received a phone call 45 minutes prior to their arrival. I could not answer the phone, however, they followed up with a text message after the phone call. After the work was done, they went around the house to make sure the windows were locked and that there were no smears or smudges left on the glass. They even pointed out windows that the seals were broken (haziness between the panes) I will be calling 1st State to clean my windows every spring!

My husband and I are so grateful that we were referred to 1st State Window Cleaning!! When I first contacted the owner, Steve, he was such a pleasure to communicate with and was very responsive to all of my questions, providing great detail about the cost of window cleaning and he provided overall excellent customer service. Steve sent a reminder email several days before the job was scheduled and we very much appreciated that. Darryl contacted me via phone on the morning of the scheduled job to let us know he and his partner, Antonio, were on their way. They arrived right on time. In fact, I think they were a few minutes early. They explained in detail the process and the order in which the work would be done. They took their time and made sure we understood everything. Darryl and Antonio were extremely polite, pleasant, professional, thorough and they did a magnificent job of cleaning all of our windows, screens and doors. Even though we usually have the blinds closed during a sunny, hot day, today is different! We asked them to please leave the blinds up so that we could enjoy our beautiful, clean windows!! In fact, we didn't even close the blinds until well after dark We are extremely happy with everything, start to finish, (customer service, price of the job and the actual work) and we plan to be one of their customers for life! 😊

Darryl and Doug did a superb job! They showed up early and brought all of their own equipment, supplies, and cleaning solutions. They wore protective booties to keep my carpet clean, were very careful with their ladders, and were polite, courteous, and respectful. In addition, they did an absolutely marvelous job cleaning my windows! They sparkle! They also pointed out a failing seal on one of my windows that I need bring to the attention of my builder's warranty department. Furthermore, their prices are very, very reasonable. I would absolutely hire 1st State Window again, and have: this is the third time they have cleaned the windows in my home.

Wonderful! Second year in a row that we've used their services - this time at a new home with many more windows, and tricky (high) locations. Staff was punctual (called and texted me when they were on their way) and incredibly courteous, friendly and kind. Both guys did a wonderful job on the windows, inside and out, cleaning all of the sills as well, and cleaned up after themselves. They always put on shoe covers over their shoes whenever they came inside, and make sure to leave everything in good order (readjusting blinds, locking all windows, making sure window security buttons were activated, etc. Will use them on an annual basis to keep our windows sparkling clean! Highly recommend.

Fantastic! Steve was a pleasure to work with, and the team of window washers were punctual, polite, professional, and most of all they did an outstanding job getting the windows in our farmhouse clean. The job required some creativity (i.e., they had to remove shutters to be able to get some storm windows out) and they handled everything beautifully.

Job was completed as promised. Two gentlemen arrived on time and completed all the work in a professional and timely manner.

Couldn't have been better. Two super-nice guys and they finished up much sooner than we expected. I'm always amazed at what a difference clean windows make to one's house!

It couldn't have been a more positive experience. Steve and Darrell were super friendly and efficient, the results are 'sparkling'. As the work took less time than my original quote allowed for, I ended up actually paying less than I had been quoted, even though I had added several extra small windows and skylights.

We have 15 windows and a sliding glass door that were absolutely filthy due to dirt from crop harvesting in the area. They did a fantastic job! Crew was on time, polite, friendly, and let me know the plan every step of the way. I was amazed at how quickly the job was completed and the quality was great! I will be hiring this company 2x yearly so I can have clean windows from now on. I would HIGHLY recommend them.

I've used this company for three years now and have always been pleased with their work. They show up on time, work until the job is done, non-smokers, and very polite. I have a big house with a lot of true divided light windows so it's a time consuming job.

My windows are sparkling- even the sills and surrounds are free of leaves and cobwebs. Thanks for a great job!

Steve and his crew did a terrific job as they have in the past. One suggestion is if you get your screens cleaned ask them to sort them by size...makes it easier to store them

The 2 men who washed our windows were polite, punctual, and extremely hard-working. This was a big, tough job and they did it well. My only complaint is that their boss really underestimated how long the job would take and they were quite rushed at the end.

The team called to let me know they would be at my home in about 15 minutes. They arrived on time and reviewed the windows to be cleaned. The work performed was excellent! The Windows are sparkling clean as well as the screens. The crew took care with our plantation shutters and wore shoe covers while working inside. We highly recommend 1st State!

I normally do not write reviews of this nature, but I feel it is important to give a fair and honest review of the work that was completed at my home. I contacted Steve for an estimate on cleaning the exterior of my home and deck. He was very responsive and offered a quote that I was comfortable with and chose him based on his Angie's List reviews which were very positive. A day before the service was scheduled to occur I contacted Steve to confirm his crew's arrival the next day. Steve informed me that he didn't have me on the schedule, even though I had emails between us that confirmed the date. Steve was very apologetic and offered to squeeze me in two days later and even gave me a 10% discount on services. His crew arrived on time and were very friendly. They proceeded to do a low pressure spray down of my home with a cleaning solution and were done in about an hour and a half. There was no scrubbing or rinsing afterwards. Unfortunately, whatever solution that was sprayed on my home left cloudy streaking on my windows and doors. I contacted Steve that evening and asked him if it was normal for the windows to be so cloudy and streaked, and wanted to know if it would rinse away in the rain. Steve responded and let me know that he failed to mention that this would happen and it would not wash away in the rain. He admitted that he normally tells his clients about this, but somehow forgot to tell me. He offered to come back and rinse the windows but said they still might not look clear and that "there are no guarantees with the glass being 'clear'". I elected to forego having his crew return based on the fact that he missed our original scheduled appointment as well as failing to inform me that my windows would be dirtier after my house wash than they were before the house wash. After a few days I noticed to see several areas of my home that were missed by the crew. For the price I paid for this service, I would expect a little more attention to detail and for my home to be nearly spotless. His crew even admitted that my home was very clean to begin with, so I don't understand why there are so many spots that were neglected. In my opinion, if 1st State Window Cleaning would have just taken the extra time to properly scrub and rinse my home the house would have looked great. In all fairness, it appears 1st State Window Cleaning does an amazing job with cleaning windows based on their reviews on this site. However, when it comes to exterior house washing I cannot in good faith recommend them to others on this site.

They did a good job cleaning windows which had not been washed in about three years. They called to say they were on their way; introduced each member of the crew when they arrived; surveyed all the windows and doors; and got to work. The crew was quick and unobtrusive. When situations arose about how detailed we wanted their services to be, they asked before assuming. We were concerned about the possibility of windows being scratched in the process, which had happened with a previous window washing company, but they were careful to clean our dirty windows without any scratches. The only criticism was that they were not as thorough in the cleaning of our lower level windows as they were the ones on the main level, but when we pointed that out to them, they politely re-cleaned them. They did not have to take as many windows apart as anticipated so the final bill was less than originally quoted, a nice, honest practice. We are moving, but otherwise we would use 1st State again.
