Description of Work: Searched for problem as to why a switch on on my panel was auto turning odd and cutting off power. They located the problem and fixed it. The |staff member was on time, totally courteous, professional and skilled. |The price was fair. I certainly will use them again and highly recommend |this company.

Description of Work: We called first thing in the morning and told them that a pipe had burst during the night and water had to be shut off by the city. They said they would put us on their "first call" priority appointment time. They didn't show up until mid afternoon, walked in and said "we can't fix that" and left. 4 townhomes were without water the entire night and next day. The only decent thing they did was not to charge us for the "service call".

Description of Work: There was a large water leak in my condo. I wasn't sure if it was broken pipes or the under-the-counter hot water heater had rusted through. I contacted Megee after two other plumbers highly rated by Angie's list told me they were too busy to take the job. Megee sent a man out to evaluate the situation the next day, and had the problem fixed the day after that. It turned out to be broken pipes, but I had the HW heater replaced as well since it was 16 years old. Everything went smoothly and I was completely satisfied, except that a shelf under the sink was left slightly out of order, which the plumber may not have even noticed.

Description of Work: Used Megee for plumbing and heating problems. They stayed with it until the problem was solved. All without ne having to pester them. I will recommend them to my friends.

Description of Work: I called them last year for a annual service and they gave me a 4 hr. Window of when they would come. 4 hrs. Came and went and I called and they said They should be there any time now. I told them to forget it because I had to go to a Dr. Appt and they had their chance and they didn't show up within the 4 he window.a simple call saying they were running late would have been nice

Description of Work: At our request, MeGee Plumbing and Heating came to our vacation residence (not in Maryland) and conducted a thorough review of our entire heating and air conditioning system (climbed through the attic, measured duct work sizes, measured plenum temperatures, calculated throughputs etc.) to estimate what it would take to resolve temperature control issues we were having. They provided an excellent detailed report with recommendations including estimated costs to do all or part of the work. At this time, we have not contracted any of the proposed work (by anyone), but the purpose of this note is to let folks know that we received excellent courteous and professional support during the problem evaluation phase of our project.

Description of Work: There was an odor coming from the crawl space under my house in OC,MD & I called McGee Plumbing to fix it. They came the same day and immediately determined the sewer pipe had come apart. They put it back together right away without any tools or materials & told me it should stay for a little while but the slope of the other pipes needed to be changed to avoid this in the future. I got an estimate from them then and waited 3 weeks or so to make an appointment to have the larger job done. The office person was wonderful when I called, as she was for the original work. But after a few calls that day, I never got a call back from the plumbers to do the work, that day or any other day. The first call was good (a little expensive I think but they were very responsive). The second time I called for the larger job ($650+-), no on bothered to take on the job. Therefore, it is doubtful that I would call them again.

Description of Work: Water heater not working. Megee identified the problem. Drained the water heater and replaced thermostats.

Description of Work: Emergency call response for no AC. Technician identified the problem and we were up and running again, no problem with the system since.

Description of Work: After they addressed the problem. They suggested a resolution that I knew would not reslove the problem. I called again and waited the entire day and they never showed. I called someone else. They diagnosed and corrected the issue. I have used Megee in the past and felt they were below average but because of ratings on this site decided to try again. A regrettable decision.

Description of Work: They hooked up a sewer line from the house to the street and were contracted to do the work in October 2013. They did that within a month. They were also suppose to fill in the old septic system and that took 6 months to complete the job. Although, the house was vacant, I paid to have ALL the work completed at the same time in Oct. When I called to follow up on the job(every month) I didn't feel like I was being treated very well by the project manager.

Description of Work: I needed an electrician to install a new outlet for a wall mounted TV. He arrived early and I hadn't quite decided exactly where I wanted it to go. He told me to take my time and once I decided, he did the job very professionally. Would definitely use Magee in the future.

Description of Work: Removed old toilet,installed one I special ordered from Lowes and hauled way old one. Took longer thn I thought BUT the gu was very professional, very clean and he was a very pleasant man. If not for the price, it would have been an A rating

Description of Work: Replaced a bad capacitor($3.00 part). For another $100 I decided to get the service agreement. The guys were polite and did a good job.

Description of Work: Moved into house on June 16th and the central A/C died June 17th. We were unpacking boxes in rooms with temps. 87 degrees. We did have a window unit in bedroom. I called and they were out to assess situation the next day. I had told them that we had a window unit and were fortunate not to have any health problems that would be aggravated by heat, so we would understand if they could not get out to house ASAP. As aforementioned, they were there next day. They were able to get the unit working again but its days were numbered. They explained everything very thoroughly and helped us choose the appropriate replacement unit. On 6/25, they installed new unit and everything is working well. My husband asked them to switch the conventional thermostat with a NEST thermostat. NEST thermostats have not been around long and yet they knew had to install and program it. |We would definitely uses this company again. They were recommended to us and we wholeheartedly pass on the recommendation. |

Description of Work: Due to my husband's illness during the past 18 months our heating and air conditioning was neglected. Bob, from Megee's, came out and checked and cleaned our units. One had frozen because of a very dirty filter, but he cleaned it and it was running like new when he left. A bonus was that he had installed the units several years before we moved in 4 years ago. He knew where everything was. He was polite and efficient. We set up a service contract for air conditioning and heating every 6 months. They also do plumping, but we haven't used Megee's for that service. We will if we have need of a plumber.
