Description of Work: Richard is a sincere man with a great sense of humor with a lot of experience in the plant business. He provided several excellent tips what would be doable in our garden. I wish I could give him A but we were not happy with the amount of work provided during 2 hours, involving 4 men. Three smaller trees (2 dogwood trees and another that I don't know the name of) were gently trimmed and the ivy was pulled back from the path we had in our garden. A day before, I pulled and cut the ivy from the rest of the pathway and know how quickly this can be done. Quality of work was good but the amount of work done was unreasonably low. The bushes were not removed and the evergreen hedge was not reduced as it was discussed in our initial meeting. They started working on the rock garden which should have been worked on after cleaning of the garden. This was project for itself because it would require work for at least a couple of hours to look nicely. This was of course left unfinished and strangely looking with some dirt that was dug around and some random placed rocks. Unfortunately, we won't be using this provider in the future but certainly will recommend Richard for his knowledge and expertise in horticulture.

Description of Work: We purchased four man hours of landscaping for $292 plus $180 for mulch. I had asked (via email) for a price on the mulch in advance, but was not given price until day of work: $6 per each 2 cubic ft bag of cedar mulch - which, I think, is high. Yard looked very nice upon completion! | |I have a very flexible schedule, and was able to arrange a date for service with some persistence, but I do think that it might be more challenging for those with limited time, e.g., in response to my three proposed dates - two of which were more than two weeks out, company owner told me that they were currently scheduling 2 wks out, period. When I pointed out that two of my dates were more than 2 weeks out, he said, on April 6, that he would do what he could to schedule one of those dates. On Apr 17 owner emailed to say that he could do the work on Apr 23 − 1 day before requested apr 24 date. It so happened that this day worked for my schedule. | |If customer has very specific needs, this deal may not work so well. If you want general yard clean up, trimming, mulching, and your schedule is flexible it is a good deal. Of course, you can always ask for refund if you can't work out the schedule. I would suggest you confirm mulch price, however.

Description of Work: Richard Miller has been working with us for five years. We have a complex garden with many specimen plants and trees. Richard has a depth of knowledge rare in this business and has managed the maintenance, fertilization, replanting, pruning and occasional replacement of plantings with expert care. He and his team work on our yard and garden every one or two weeks from March through December, depending on weather conditions. The cost I quote is a per week estimate, assuming 4 visits per month. It includes all the services itemized in the first paragraph.

Description of Work: He has landscaped and hard scaped my front and back yard which is quite large. His knowledge of plants and trees is amazing and he has a very practical design sense. His prices are fair and he and his workers are courteous and reliable. I have recommended him to many people. I own the Zenith Gallery and work with a lot of outdoor sculptors, he is able to help incorporate the art into his design. Richard knows how to use recycled materials which helps saves the clients money and looks terrific. My neighbors always stop in front of my house and appreciate the landscaping and the art.

Description of Work: We have known about them for a few years. The owner does all of the work himself. He is a definitely go getter. He pulled out a note pad and sketched a drawling of the entire property of ideas and suggestions.
