Description of Work: I purchased an Angie's Big Deal to get some landscaping done. I ended up paying more than what the initial price of the Big Deal was for. They put in some shrubs and some sod.

Description of Work: I thought the cleanup portion of the "angie special" was done great and the owner/designer who came out was friendly, professional and clearly knows what he is doing. I was really looking for a garden plan(even if at additional charge)and someone to install it and "finish" our garden and add some path's and 'outdoor kitchen"...while he was very complimentary stating he didn't know what we needed him for as the garden looks pretty good...i did have a budget set aside for alot more work, i assume the company was just not interested. I did the angie list deal to feel out the designer as i've been disappointed by other landscape companies that really don't have design expertise. I think this company does and would do a great job if hired.

Description of Work: I called New Dawn Gardens to schedule a service for this coupon. The person who answered told me right away they do not travel to Virginia, only parts of Maryland and inside DC. They told me I need to change my settings on The Big Deal but there are no options to refine within the DC metro area. There is only DC Metro. There was nothing in their offer that said they do not travel to Virginia. I'd like a refund for this coupon as they will obviously never be able to provide any service to me. Thank you.

Description of Work: Richard and his crew of two did an outstanding job on my front bank--it looks better than it ever has. They worked quickly and cleaned up beautifully. I would certainly work with New Dawn Gardens again.

Description of Work: The company cleared out my courtyard --including cutting back the mums, hydrangeas and rose bushes. They also lined the garden with wood chips/mulch.

Description of Work: I bought the Angie's List "deal" for 4 hours of landscaping work. Richard came by and was very nice, but when they came back to do the work, I could barely see any difference. They pruned a tree (very basic- would have taken us 15 minutes at the most) and pulled a few vines. If I had spent 4 hours working myself, I would have been able to tell! I would not recommend this company.

Description of Work: Services performed included pruning vines off of fences and a porch, pruning back a handfull of bushes, raking up leaves and debris, and mulching. They were very professional and pleasant to work with and I may seek them out when I undertake a major type of landscape project. I was however surprised with the amount of time that it took to do what was done and the fact that I wasn't given any indication that what I was asking for would far exceed the amount of time covered by the coupon. If I were on a tighter budget, the extra expense would be an unwelcomed surprise. Live and learn

Description of Work: I have place two emails and two phone calls and still have not gotten the services performed!!! This has been a real bust. I will not be purchasing anything else from Angie's list!!!
