Keith Roofing

It's been nine months since Hugh's team did the work because with roof repairs the proof is in the pudding ... or at least in the rainy season! Through a rough winter with heavy snows and an unusually wet late spring we have had no issues at all. At the time the work was done I was very impressed with Hugh's professionalism and attention to detail. He gave me different options and wrote up detailed proposals for each one. He took pictures and instantly printed them so I could see the problem areas of my roof without climbing up there with him (thank goodness!) I thought the prices quoted were very fair. After the job was complete he emailed me several pictures of the completed job. It looked great, and as I said before I now know it performed great. I will definitely hire Keith Roofing for any future roofing needs.

We compared Mr. Keith's offer with that of another company and accepted the lower cost bid from the other company. We determined that the lower offer would take care of our problem. That said, we called Mr. Keith on Monday afternoon. He gave us an appointment for the following morning and was here promptly. On the hottest day of the year, he went on our roof, assessed the problem and took pictures. He came down, explained the problem, wrote a proposal and gave the pictures to us. We are not skilled in technical roofing language to determine if Mr. Keith proposed work more extensive than the offer we accepted. However we do know that he was prompt, courteous and professional. We would again consider his company for any potential roofing needs.

These guys were great. Hugh came out and did an inspection of our roof with pictures that he showed me. Gave us several options, and was very prompt to schedule the roof replacement we picked. They were in and out in a day. After it was all done, they provided pictures of the finished work. When I noticed that the roof was not painted a reflective color, Hugh offered to send someone over to do that free of charge (it was never in the contract). Very prompt all around, and very professional, I would definitely recommend these guys if you live in DC.

It was great. All done in one day without my needing to be there. They called ahead to let me know when they would be coming. I also received photos showing everything that they did and of the finished work. All good since I wasn't going to climb up on my roof.

Hugh was very responsive since the beginning in accommodating changes I asked to the contract. Hugh always promptly replied to my questions by either phone or email. They showed up on time and at the end of the job the premises were cleaned. I had more damage to the wood (quite significant) in one of the roofs than predicted but Hugh and his father kept their word on the contract price and didn't try to raise the price. The job was very well documented through pictures that I received the same day. I had my experience with contractors in the area. This is the first time that I meet such a professional and honorable company. I strongly recommend them.

Great. They took care of the roof repair quickly and professionally. And i've had no problems since. In addition, they were willing to honor a quote they gave over 6 months earlier.

Went smoothly, have not met a more punctual and responsive contractor. All of the other roofing contractors I spoke with to compare prices were more expensive and very flakey. This firm had a lot of credibility and could not be more professional.

I called for an estimate and one was scheduled promptly. It was free.The contractor came out checked the roof and took before pictures. He printed them out in his truck and then sat with me and went over the pics and problems carefully. He made recommendations with no pressure to do the work. After talking to him, I realized my roof was a mess. He gave me two options one just making repairs and one for a new roofing system, new skylight and other much needed repairs. He drafted a proposed contract for the two options. The company let me think about whether I wanted the work done. Ultimately, I decided to replace the roof and make the repairs. It took some days for the work to get started because of the snow. It was scheduled, they arrived promptly and did the work. Everything was done in one day. When the work was completed I had after pics. This was the first time in 9 years that I had actually seen my Roof! The deposit was half of the amount for the work and paid at the time the work began. Final payment required after the work was completed. Everything went smoothly. And I got a 10% Angie's List discount. After the new Skylight was installed, I noticed when looking upwards from inside the house that the Skylight mounting was uneven. I sent an email to the contractor and a visit was promptly scheduled to determine what needed to be done. The problem has been fixed. I have a 10 year warranty on the roofing system. Finally, Keith Roofing took a pic of the solar installation and it was done properly.

They did a great job. Marvin was prompt and knew exactly what the problem was. He sent a detailed report about how he would remedy the problem. His employees were polite, and tidy. The best part was the problem was fixed!!!

Because we had a sudden leak, we requested that they do the work as soon as possible. They were able to squeeze us in before the next big rains. The repair team arrived early and completed the job in one day. They left no debris or mess behind, and completed a beautiful new roof in the same day. Three skylights received new flashing, and the fourth was replaced. One skylight still leaked a tiny bit after the work was completed, and it was immediately fixed. During the day, we were shown pictures of the decayed old roof and progress on the new one. The whole experience was excellent--crew was professional and quick. We highly recommend their work.

I contacted Keith Roofing through Angie's List the week of Thanksgiving and Hugh came to my house the next day to assess the condition of my leaky roof and provide an estimate for repairs. He was punctual and professional and provided me with pictures illustrating the problems he found. The problems and his explanation of the condition of the roof and the repairs needed were in line with the other estimates we got. We ultimately decided to go with Keith Roofing for the repairs because their price was about 20% below the other estimates. Within a week of me letting them know we wanted to go ahead with the work, the work was done. I highly recommend this provider and would definitely use them again.

He recommended two service providers that I could contact as he was just too small to do the job.

It went great! Hugh Keith (son of the owner) was in good contact setting up an estimate, and then we got the work itself scheduled very quickly. I find that responsiveness in communication is a sign of a well-run business. For both the estimate and during the work itself, Keith Roofing took pictures and printed them on-site so I could see what was happening. Really good work there. They also went the extra mile with the job itself - cleaned out a blocked gutter, tapped down the cap on the end of a soffit that had been coming off, fixed up a few gaps on the places where the shingles articulated to follow a window cupola. Great work. Would recommend and hire again!

Keith Roofing was fantastic. They were very communicative about when they would be able to come and do the job, keeping an eye on the weather. When they came for the estimate, they went on the roof and took pictures to show us where the problems were. When they did the work, they continued to take pictures to show us progress and how things were fixed. Our roof is not easily accessible except by climbing a tall ladder, so the pictures were a great way to show us the progress. The work was done efficiently. Hugh Keith did the estimate and was on the job both days of work. His team was great and friendly. They cleaned up very nicely after themselves and that is impressive considering how much roofing material had to be removed. We even had an issue with our dryer vent, which fell in from the attic. We assumed that it was venting out to the roof and that maybe it got pushed as they were working. Hugh quickly assessed the situation and discovered our dryer vent has never vented to the roof, only in to the attic. He helped resolve the situation temporarily and offered to come out and rematch the roof when the vent is taken through the roof. So very nice of them and very professional. They are flat roof experts and we would recommend them to anyone with roof issues.

Keith roofing was great from start to finish. They were on-time, courteous and professional. They clearly explained what the problem was and how they were going to fix it. They provided photos before and after. They were on time for both the estimate and the day they came to do the work. I highly recommend them.

Hugh Keith got back to us within 1 day to schedule a free estimate due a major leak we found in our home after a rain storm that reached two rooms. He was prompt and took photos of all the areas on the roof where he found issues. He even took a video to show us where the water was getting in when he applied pressure to certain areas. He walked us through the work, materials, and cost estimate. We never felt like Hugh was trying to sell us more than we needed to take care of and wasn't pushy. Once we signed the contract he was able to fit us in within a week. We were very impressed with Keith Roofing's promptness for the appointment and their work ethic. We have worked with several contractors within the past year and Hugh was by far the most professional and customer focused. They arrived 10 minutes before they were scheduled at 8:30am and completed the work by early afternoon. They took photos that they could send us electronically and provided copies to make sure we were aware of the work that was completed. They also guarantee their work so they asked us to make sure we called back if there were any issues. Payment for the full project was due prior to work starting but I felt confident that Hugh and his team would get the work done or make sure they fixed any additional issues that might occur after the work was complete. I highly recommend Keith Roofing and have referred them to several of our neighbors and friends.

The experience was great. Hugh took before and after pictures that documented everything. His Dad and crew were on site and very professional. They made a strong effort to do things right with high attention to detail that I value.

Hugh Keith was very attentive with my needs and issues with my roof. He provided pictures on the spot after the initial estimate and pointed out the problems. He explained the different avenues I could go about either repairing or replacing the roof; in addition, showing samples of the type of roofing materials used in repair. While working on my roof he and his crew took pictures as they worked. He explained what was going on as they were working and provided photos of the finished product. I didn't feel rushed into signing a contract with the company. He was patient and attuned our needs. He even went the extra mile by offering me a list of reliable roofers who offered financing to customers (because their company did not).

Keith Roofing did a thorough and professional job. Because he couldn't get his guys on the job right away, Hugh Keith made sure that our leaking roof (near the chimney) was wrapped in plastic for the week or so we waited to have him fit us into the schedule. Hugh also took pictures while the workers were engaged in the job, which showed the damaged wooden decking and the types of materials his guys used to replace the roofing. We wanted to go with a provider that had a solid reputation, and although the job was not cheap, I think we now have a solid roof over our heads.

Back in Fall 2013 we purchased a home and wanted to make sure that our roof was in good shape for the upcoming storm season. After some research on Angie's List we decided to go with Keith Roofing. Although we did call around and have other companies come by to give us quotes, we eventually went with Keith Roofing because they were the most responsive, knowedgable and did a great job explaining issues with our roof. Even though they weren't the cheapest quote we got, we're very satisfied with their service. They took pictures of the problem areas we had and went through each issue with us and how they would resolve it. They even provided before and after photos so we could see the difference. Keith Roofing also gave us a 2 year warranty, helped clean out some of our gutters and cut back some of the tree branches. Despite a long and extreme winter, we never encountered any roofing issues. We're glad we found such a great roofing company to work with!

The communication with Keith Roofing was exceptional. The weather this winter caused a number of delays and he would contact me each time the weather turned and provide a new update and expected start date. That style of open-ness and honestly permiated each interaction, from the photographs with notations that were taken at each step of the process to the quick response to a text or phone call. The estimate was accurate and the contract was easy to understand. They clearly know what they are doing and feel comfortable talking about any aspect and educating the client to whatever level they wish. The job was well done and professional.

I was extremely leased with the entire process. Mr. Hugh Keith arrived the day after I called him for an assessment. He climbed onto the roof. He took pictures to use while explaining the proposed solution. The cost to repair was not exorbitant considering I was afraid I'd need a whole new roof. They were able to schedule the work for two days later. Mr. Keith arrived on time and the workers took less than 4 hours to finish the work. They even patched some other areas that looked like they might be weak. They also cleaned the gutters and replaced gutter supports. In addition, they sealed the bricks and mortar at the back of the house which was not part of the contract. They again took pictures to show the progress and final work. The Keiths and their workers were extremely professional. They took special care not to disturb the plantings around the house where they had to set their ladders. I would definitely use this company again.

I wanted to wait to provide a review to ensure the work performed met expectations. With the many torrential downpours we have had the past few months I can say Keith Roofing solved the problem. Hugh came out the day after I called to schedule an appointment. He was very professional from the onset through completion. He took photos during the review/estimate process and walked me through them (he also provided photos of the work in progress and completion). He provided 2 options and gave positives and negatives for both. The work was completed in one day, two days afters signing the contract. They even cleaned the gutters while they were up there. I would definitely use them again and recommend their services.

I can't say enough good things about Keith roofing... but, I'll try! To fully understand how much I appreciate their work, it should be noted that I called at least 10 roofing services trying to get someone to fix my roof during the recent two week period of rains we had. All the companies I contacted told me it would be "2 weeks" before they would show up... to be fair, the DC area has experienced a harsh winter and there is a lot of roofing work to be done... but, Keith Roofing was the only one that seemed to genuinely care about my problem and commit to coming as quickly as they could. After an initial visit to assess the problems - complete with pictures of the work that needed to be done and an estimate, we had to endure another week of rain... Mr. Keith again assured me they would be here as soon as the rains stopped... and true to his word, they arrived early the next morning. After they finished the work, they again gave me pictures so I could see and compare the completed repairs against the first set of pictures... and WOW did they ever exceed my expectations! I never expected to see so many replaced tiles, such a quality job on the ridge cap and vent pipe/collar and sealing along the chimney's. I'm almost certain they did more than they said they were going to do from the estimate... but, maybe that's just how they work - under promise and over deliver!! If you need roofing work done, I highly recommend Keith Roofing - you can't have a more pleasant and responsive interaction or a more professional service... Thank you Keith Roofing!!!
