Fast Fix Handyman

Excellent job! Timely response, excellent work, reasonable prices. I have used Fast Fix Handyman for a previous job & will definitely use them for future jobs!

In both cases Miguel performed great work and I would hire him again for additional jobs.

Initial scheduling was difficult because Miguel was preoccupied with wanting to sell us a deal ("three hours for two people) with the overall cost left indeterminate, but at our insistence he came out and furnished an overall estimate. The overall estimate was acceptable so we contracted with him to do the work. He pledged to do it on a mutually agreeable afternoon but didn't show because his morning job ran longer than expected, calling later on that day to explain than he should have, but apologetically. We agreed to an alternate day which is as it happened, and his work was very accomplished.

I contacted Miguel to replace the kitchen sink in a condo that I own in DC. I live in NY, so it can be difficult to arrange work since I'm not in the area. Miguel was extremely accommodating. He agreed to receive the delivery of the new sink, and to bring it to the condo for installation. He showed up exactly when he said he would, and kept me up to date on the progress by texting me pictures and descriptions of the work he was performing. Unfortunately, the new sink didn't fit properly, so he had to re-install the old one, which he did without a problem. I contacted several handymen and plumbers to get quotes on this job, and Miguel provided one of the lowest prices AND was the easiest to work with. I'm planning so sell this condo, so I don't know that I'll have the need for additional work, but if I do, I wouldn't hesitate to hire him.

Miguel and his colleague are AWESOME. We needed to replace and install a new bathroom vanity (and plumbing, faucet, everything that goes with installing a vanity), and he came immediately after a single phone call and some text message exchanges. He went to Home Depot to get things for plumbing. He took out a 35 year old bathroom vanity (quite large) and installed the new one we bought. He also bought the exact paint I wanted and brought it over. He took down an enormous mirror that several contractors who looked at simply refused to take down, all in one piece. Even mirror specialists were complaining and refusing to do the job because it was "dangerous." Dangerous my a**. Miguel removed it like he does it every morning for fun or something. This is the epitome of craftsmanship. We were awed. These two men were extremely polite, professional, hard-working, punctual, and did an excellent job on virtually everything we asked in our last-minute request. His colleague is a quiet worker, who is likewise very skilled, and cleans everything up afterwards. Surely, it's an underestimate to refer to his profession as a "handyman"; he can multi-task like no other. Professional contractors that specialize in certain things (like mirror, vanity, etc) look like amateurs compared to Miguel and his colleague. I've been very tired of remodeling my home with twenty or more contractors coming in and out; providing estimates, refusing to show up, damaging things when they do show up, or being extremely rude. It's really stressful to remodel anything, but I must say this was the most pleasant experience I had with a company during the entire remodeling process. Highly recommend to anyone.

I called several handymen to inquire about services and Miguel was able to commit quickly and professionally to the job. Miguel and his colleague work at an hourly rate and provide supplies necessary for the job at cost (he buys the supplies at Home Depot and then provides you with the receipts for reimbursement). Miguel and his colleague did work at my home on 3 separate occasions; they showed up promptly, worked efficiently, and I was able to change their priority list quickly without fuss or drama. Miguel worked with me to optimize their efforts on my budget. Even though he and his colleague work at an hourly rate, I never felt like they slowed down or stopped to make the job stretch out. We encountered several on-the-job challenges that most contractors would have had a hard time dealing with; Miguel got the job done and worked creatively to come up with a solution. It is also clear that Miguel and his colleague take pride in their work and don't like to leave a job half-finished or with errors. Bottom line: Miguel and his "can do" attitude were a delight to work with and I would highly recommend him.

Miguel responded right away and asked for pictures and then instantly quoted me a price and told me when he was available to do the work. He followed through exactly as he said.

Phenomenal. Probably the best of the best as far as I've done with Angie's List. Miguel and his associate helped us identify the materials beforehand so they could get started right away and work through the day. They did a wide variety of projects and did them all well. I couldn't be happier with this provider!

It went very well. Miguel was responsive, professional and did great work. Very pleased to have met him. Great honest guy.

Miguel answered his phone, gave me a price, and offered to come today, as he would be in Baltimore tomorrow. He showed up when he said he would and made sure he understood where to place the bar. He seemed confident that he could do the job properly. He located the stud and drilled carefully and slowly so that the stone tile did not break. He secured the bar thoroughly and cleaned up completely when he finished. He did not ask for a higher fee even though he took almost two hours to complete his work. I gave him an extra $20 anyway because I thought that what he did and the way he did it merited more than he asked for. I had called a few home renovation firms listed under "handyman" in Angie's List; all were helpful, but most were not interested in such a little job. One firm wanted to cut into the bedroom wall to locate the stud and suggested that I put together all the jobs I needed done so that I could hire a couple of guys for a half day. I'm glad I found Miguel.

They were very efficient. They came on time. They performed the work that I asked them to do. They were very polite. The price was a little high.

I coordinated the two projects with Miguel by email and one phone call. He returned my message of initial inquiry within one day, had competitive labor rates, and was clear about his professional skill set. Miguel gave me a 30 minute window for his arrival on Friday morning and arrived within 5 minutes of his arrival window. The used a vehicle appropriate to the handyman business and had all of the tools necessary to getting the projects done. The interior of the closet is second-to-none and the rebuilt overhang looks great, is structurally sound, and is much safer than the previous one. Miguel and his assistant seemed to communicate well with each other, had a good eye for finishing details, made judicious use of materials. Both worked consistently hard through the whole day. It was clear they had the skills to do the work and the ability to recommend options for the small details that make a big project valuable. Miguel was fantastic to work with, we will certainly hire him again for the wide variety of handyman services he offers and will recommend him without hesitation to people in the District of Columbia who want to hire a handyman with versatile skills, works very hard, and was easy to communicate with to plan project execution.

Miguel showed up toward the end of the window, and quickly got to work. We were mostly impressed by how efficiently and quickly he worked - even though we were paying by the hour, he seemed determined not to waste any time. The work was perfect. We've been looking for a reliable handyman for awhile, and preferably one that doesn't have to drive in 2 hours to the city (they always seem to show up hours late "due to traffic"), so we are thrilled to find Miguel so close to home. I also loved that the entire thing was coordinated via email, which made it seem so much easier than a chain of phone calls back and forth.

They had to measure to ensure the curtains would clear the window and that the second rod would not bump into the window shades. They figured out how to make a small incision in the top wooden window frame molding to make both rods clear the windows and shades. With my guidance, they set the brackets in place, at a height that make all 4 curtains fall just below the window sill . The only drawback for me was the cleanup. The drop cloths they brought into my house still had dust in them. I had placed bathmats on the radiator covers in front of the windows for their tools and the brackets. After cutting out a piece of the woodwork to make the brackets work, there was sawdust and small debris. I had to sweep that up as well as vacuum up after them. They showed up at the time promised and were done in about an hour and a half.

I'm really very pleased with the entire job. We planned everything over text and they were there roughly on time. One thing I appreciated is that when they worked, they worked. I like to walk away feeling I got my money's worth and with these guys I most certainly did. The only downside was that I had to go to The hardware store myself and get some Kilz - it would have been nice if they had a can with them as it is commonly used by handymen. I intend to use them again though - so it really isn't that big of a deal. The quality work in repairing some water damage far out ways a minor inconvenience.

Miguel came the same day that I called him and completed all the tasks in about 2-3 hours. He was extremely cheerful, I trusted him around my 3 kids, and he fixed things that I did not know were possible to fix like a broken key inside a lock and a window covering. He is coming back to do some outside work when it gets warmer. He will be my "go to" guy for handyman work from here on. Thanks to Angie's list for helping me find him!

Miguel was awesome, he did everything I asked,. We communicated via text and emails up until the jobs were completed. He even took photos of the before and after for me. I would definitely use him again for handyman projects. He makes it easier to manage your rental property from a far.

Miguel worked on our rental property which was too far away for us to do the work ourselves. We communicated by phone and email and he coordinated with our tenant. I checked with three of his competitors and none would be available for at least 10 days. He completed the job within 3 days of our phone call. He was cooperative and anxious to please. He was a pleasure to work with and we look forward to dealing with him in the future.

Miguel did a quick and professional job. He was easy to schedule and was flexible when it was raining on the date we were originally scheduled. His prices are very reasonable.

It went really well. Miguel was responsive and easy to communicate with. We did a lot of our communication over email using iPhone pictures to discuss what needed to be done. A lot of people I've worked with aren't set up to do this and it is really helpful. It avoids playing phone tag and allows a very clear way to explain and demonstrate the problem. From the pictures Miguel knew exactly what needed to be done before he arrived and had all the materials he needed. His pricing was also very competitive and clearly communicated. We will definitely use him again.

We had a long list of random repairs and fixes that we needed in the house, and they were able to do all of them very nicely. They were punctual, did all of the work promised, cleaned up after themselves, and everything looks great. I will definitely be calling them again.

The handyman provided an estimate of cost and time to do work. He arrived about 12 minutes after the time agreed on but he was spot on the time needed to fix to problem. The door now works properly and the wall he cut to fix door was repainted and looks as good as new. He also installed a wine glass rack in the kitchen that looks great.
