Fast Fix Handyman

My partner was present during the service as I was out of town. He reported that the crew was professional and thorough. When I returned and saw the job, it was not even apparent that a repair had ever been made there. Cat door was a last minute request, and they did a very nice job. Also cleaned up after themselves very well.

He did a perfect job. You can't tell now that there was ever a hole in the ceiling. The new drywall is perfectly even, without any seams or evidence of repair. He also painted the whole ceiling and left everything very clean. He was fast, responsive, and very polite. We are definitely going to use him again.

I hired Miguel to fix a mouse problem for me that the rodent control contractors could not fix. In brief, I had an awkward gap between the brick wall that I share with my neighbors and the drywall behind the stove where the gas line enters the house. This was the cause of a very annoying mouse problem I have been fighting for a year and paying useless exterminators to eliminate. When I realized where the mice were entering I hired Miguel to move the stove, patch the drywall and put in place an access panel for the gas line. They recommended adding baseboard to completely seal the area behind the stove. He and his worker did an incredible job. They even vacuumed all the nasty things under the stove before returning it to its place. They moved the refrigerator to check there to and while the drywall was intact behind the refrigerator they vacuumed that too! Now I have no mice problems and no drafty air entering my house in the winter. Thank you Miguel! They also weatherized my doors so no air seeps in and they shut more tightly. Miguel arrived on time and was meticulous about leaving my kitchen clean. Overall an awesome handyman who is a pleasure to work with and offers a fair price. You should hire Miguel.

They showed up on time, gave me an estimate before work started and adhered to their time frame. Professional and I am pleased with the work. The deck porch steps and fascia board required carpentry skills and they did a good job. They worked to please the customer. We had to paint to match existing paint in one area and because I did not know the exact color, they had to try a few. They did not complain about it and they ultimately found the right match. Overall, pleased with the result.

Miguel and his crew tore down the wall separating two small closets and combined them into one larger closet. In the process they had to remove 2 doors and replace with drywall plus add a new door for the new entry into the closet. They were able to start the work within a couple of days of providing the estimate. Their work is truly excellent; the closet is far nicer than it needs to be! I was amazed at the attention they paid to every detail. They were excellent about cleaning up every day which was no small feat given the amount of demolition involved. Miguel is very personable and responsive. We had one minor issue with matching an existing paint color and Miguel fixed it so quickly that by the time I had a chance to ask about it again he had already been to the paint store AND repainted the wall to match exactly.

Miguel and his men were great. Great communication, on time, super clean, super friendly. They were able to do all this work in 2 days. The hole in my shower was the most difficult fix because a plumber previously made/drilled a giant hole around the shower fixture to replace it and a pipe behind it. I had several estimates before Fast Fix and all of them told me I would have to replace the entire shower stall and retile everything (because once the plumber created the hole, it was plain to see there were TWO layers of tile, where the pevious home owners did a this as a quick cheaper fix instead of removing and retiling the shower when renovating the bathroom. ) Miguel didn't blink an eye, and told me his men could just fill the hole, place a baseboard, and retile it to match the tile I already had in the rest of the shower. They did this UNBELIEVABLY quickly. And now I am happy with my shower, you can't even tell any work was ever done- the tile matches perfectly. I will use them in the future for any work around the house that needs to be done!

Miguel and his assistant performed the work exactly as I asked, and even took the time to improve and fix things that he noticed needed repair. Miguel takes pride in his work.

Miguel and his co-worker were great! First off, Miguel responded very quickly to my text message, and it was easy to communicate this way with him. I sent him some pictures of the deck, and he asked a few questions, and then we agreed on a price and date. Very easy process. When Miguel started the work, we discovered that some of the underlying wood was rotten. Miguel quickly came up with an inexpensive solution to what could have required a lot of work - he was very creative, and worked with us to discuss options. A real problem solver! Miguel and his co-worker were very pleasant, and did excellent quality work. We will definitely use them again for other projects!

Miguel was responsive over text and email. The repairmen came on time, but then left right away to get supplies. When they came back they quickly realized that the wall and ceiling couldn't be fixed without first repairing the leak, which wasn't something they could do, so basically the trip to home depot had been completely unnecessary and a waste of time. They spent the rest of the time removing damaged wall and discussing the issue with us. And then of course they wanted to come back once the leak was fixed to fix the wall, so in the end it could have cost us was more than it should to fix some damaged plaster. We ended up letting the building send their own people to repair the leaks and the wall. They had people they were used to using and I didn't want to complicate the situation since they were paying to repair the damage. This review has been updated. The original review expressed my frustration that Fast Fix Handymen had charged us $280 for a job they would be unable to finish due to the leaks. After reading my review they said they wished I had come to them first with my frustrations. They since have agreed to refund some of the cost since the job wasn't completed as discussed. I thought this was very honest, and they handled it better than I did.

Miguel and his team came in an helped my husband and I finish off projects that have stagnated for a year. Within a week's time, they finished all the drywall projects we had throughout the house and created a new linen closet for us in the upstairs hallway. The job was pretty straightforward and Miguel kept it that way. We would definitely use Fast Fix Handyman's services again in the future.

I contacted 4 handyman (3 highly reviewed on Angie's List) for several small jobs around our home. Miguel was the only one to respond and scheduled an appointment within a week or so. He was prompt and professional, and the amount of time/price he estimated to complete the work was accurate (and reasonable). He was also meticulous about cleaning up. We would definitely hire him again.

Responded in a ti ely fashion to my email and set an appointment at the earliest possible date. Came on time and did an excellent job. Very personable. I would definitely call Miguel again.

Miguel was prompt and efficient. Not many handymen do this type of work anymore. Everyone wants to rip it all out and put up drywall. His work was impeccable and I couldn't be more pleased.

Miguel was very responsive from the moment he answered the phone call. He made himself available for Saturday to come to our place and repair the problems that we had. He arrived on time. He did an excellent job repairing the problems that we had, advised us on what to do next to make sure the bathroom fixture was properly fixed and installed. He did an excellent job in a very timely manner. We were very happy with his work and highly recommend him.

This was a much bigger job than expected and took two people almost 10 hours to complete. They worked so hard and paid close attention to detail. I feel that their work was very professional and thorough?..I would highly recommend them. The price was very fair for the amount of time and effort they spent and I have already set up an appointment for them to come back to do some other work at my house and a day of work at my mother's house.

I called the handyman and he said that he didn't have his calendar in front of him because he was on a job and asked that I email him the details of my job and he would look at the calendar that night and get back to me. I emailed him and made sure to include my number and my email address. I also called in the afternoon the following day and I never heard from him.

Miguel is as accommodating as everyone says. He was prompt, responsive, and clear about pricing and expected time to complete the jobs. His work was very good, and where he was less experienced (I asked him to take a look at a leak in our skylight) he was honest and up front about it. I appreciated that. I also thought his pricing was very fair. Certainly not bargain basement, but a good deal for the quality of his work. He was thorough, too. An example was the vanity he installed in our bathroom -- first we had an unexpected issue getting it in the door because of the location of the glass shower wall. I had to have glass people come remove the wall so he could get it in place -- an unexpected issue that could have set us back, but didn't. Once installed, we needed to cut the shelf so it fit around the sink drain. Miguel meticulously cut the smallest possible area that would slide neatly around the drain, maximizing the shelf space we desperately need in our bathroom. It's only one example, but I appreciate that kind of extra effort when so many others would just cut a big hole and call it a day. In sum, I will certainly use Miguel's services again, and I was very fortunate to have found him.

I cannot express how Fast Fix Handyman (FFH) delivers AMAZING work, so amazing that I gave them a tip at the end of the service. I look forward to hiring them again because you definitely get outstanding work for your money. Before you call them, however, READ ON! FFH is not perfect! There are some areas of improvement, particularly their communication and lateness. It is difficult to get in touch with them, but it is only because they get a lot of business. On the day of my service, they were four hours late! They were supposed to arrive between 9-10am and, instead, arrived around 1:30pm. I called them at 12pm to find out when they were coming to later receive a text apologizing for their tardiness. I had visitors coming into town at 4:00pm and, as a result of their lateness, had to leave them with my alarm code and lock up my home behind them. Yes, I gave them a B for punctuality and responsiveness, but I should have given them a D! I curved their grade only because the quality of their work is AMAZING! There is just no excuse for any company not to communicate with their customers when they are behind. I hope that this evaluation encourages FFH to improve on its punctuality and responsiveness so that they reach the same level as their quality of work. To other Angie's List members, I highly recommend FFH if you are not particular with the areas that they need to improve on.

The project went very well. I would recommend Miguel for any handyman services. He is polite. He understands what you want and delivers on his word. He is prompt and clean.

The work was fantastic. It was done on time, and extremely professionally. They hung the storage unites right in the studs and as well as the cabinets. The price was also very reasonable for hanging for storage units and two oversized cabinets in the ceiling and on the wall. I definitely recommend them!

Our job was very small, which gave me a hard time finding the right person who would take the time to prioritize it (get it done quickly). Miguel came to our apartment to assess the tile. The exact tile type wasn't available at Home Depot next door to our apartment (was missing an insulation backing). Miguel fixed the issue with the old tile and reinstalled it in the ceiling on the next visit. He made the payment process easy as this was for my tenant's condo, allowing me to mail him a check for the cost. His price was very reasonable relative to his competitors.

Wow! Miguel and his team did an excellent job. They called prior to arrival. They were fast and efficient. Miguel paid attention to detail. He noticed loose tiles above the tub and called to see if we wanted the tiles repaired. We were happy to have the additional work performed. We are very happy with the results and will definitely use Fast Fix Handyman again.

Miguel responded to my call immediately and came the same day to perform the work. We had some challenges installing the baby gates on our stairs and another handyman left that day stating the job was too complicated for him. Miguel accepted the job on the spot, and when he arrived at my house he had figured out a solution in ten minutes. He was so fast, courteous and worked cleanly and efficiently. Highly recommend.

We corresponded via email and text with Miguel since that is the best way for us to operate. His use of email and text was one of the reasons we chose him from the other handymen on Angie's List. Miguel came by about a week before starting work to give us a quote. He was courteous and very attentive to our needs. He came up with creative solutions to a few problems that we hadn't considered. When we told Miguel that he'd won the bid, we were able to set up service almost immediately. He and his partner came by and laid down tarps to protect the floor and then they went to work. They worked quickly and when we came home from work, everything was clean and the walkways were clear. Miguel updated me every night with an email and/or text. He communicated with me via text regarding the exhaust fan in our kitchen which he took home and repaired for us instead of replacing. It's a huge relief to have that done. Miguel knew how concerned I was about the quality of work- we had a contractor do some work in our house and to this day I notice everything that was done wrong. Throughout the process he assured me that everything would turn out okay. I trusted him and he came through for us with flying colors. The paint lines are clean, the curtain rods are even, the bathroom caulk looks great. I have no complaints, and believe me I am very picky. Miguel is not the cheapest, but he will get the work done well and without disrupting your life. We are already working on our next list of tasks for him!
