John and his team are excellent. I would highly recommend them and look forward to working with them again. Our project involved replacing an old (leaning) retaining wall that had two (crooked) sets of steps as well as a walkway to the front steps of our house. They also removed (and hauled away) some overgrown bushes that were in the way once we changed the placement of one set of steps. As we discussed my ideas for an old fashioned stone wall and a brick walkway, John gave me very helpful input on the plans as well as when the progress progressed. Communication was great with John and his team and they came on time, were fast and efficient and completed the job quickly and ahead of schedule, despite a couple of days of bad weather. I was delighted with the result, as was my family, including my dad who said it brought to mind an Irish stone wall.

As other reviews have mentioned, John Talo and his team are talented; and John was a pleasure to deal with. John helped us envision the majestic and artistic stone steps (easily 50 feet long) to our front door. As well as the stone patio and 2 foot granite sitting wall off the back of our house. I highly recommend him and his team. The only problem I had, and it was not a big one, is that they left random shovel fulls of left over stone dust/stones in discrete places around my yard. Not a nice surprise; and wished that he had asked where to discard it.

I hired Talo's Masonary to build retaining wall in my front yard which was sloping down. The project also included removing the juniper and brush in the yard, filling the yard in the front and back with top soil and seeding. The work was started 3 days later than scheduled, but when John's crew of 4 came on Tuesday 8/28, they finished the project in 4 days. They did a great job, the grass has already come and I am very happy with the work. I would recommend Talo's masonary for stone work and landscaping.

John was honest with his time times when the would be compled. He explained things to me that I was unsure of.

John Talo is an extremely likable, experienced, talented and trustworthy guy. When dealing with contractors, integrity is everything to me. He keeps his word and aims to please. I hired John Talo to put in a 20 X 20 patio with two sidewalks in my back yard. Being retired, I was able to sit and watch him and his crew work harder than anyone I have ever seen. The prep work right to the finish was done with accuracy and finesse, producing exactly what I wanted, a stunning patio. The best part is when they were finished it looked the patio had been surgically dropped into position without any damage to my house or property. Clean-up afterwards was meticulous. John as well as the rest of his crew demonstrate a strong and unwavering solid work ethic. Even his work crew are kind, patient, and dependable men, making sure the customer is pleased. And I am a hard person to please!!!

Johnny came to my house and we discussed the project that needed to be done and that it was a time sensitive project. He told me if I put a deposit down he would start that following week, so I did. It's been two months and I haven't seen or heard from Johnny since. He might do nice work but he's also a thief. Be careful when dealing with Talos.

Great company ! Could not be happier with thier work. We added on to the original contract and they still were able to accommodate us. As with any good company once they get busy you will have to wait. We waited and it was worth it. Thanks John!

John and his crew were great, from start to finish. They removed an old brick patio, and replaced it with 1.5" Pennsylvania bluestone. In addition to replacing the existing patio, they expanded it to include 3 offshoot walkways (plus my garbage can area & 2 drywalls to bury my gutter lines). At John's suggestion, the entire bluestone work was bordered by granite blocks. He took the time to source from my local granite quarry, so that the borders would match existing stonework around my home (from that same quarry). I thought that doing a granite border would be overdoing it, as I'd never seen this done before. I was wrong. This is how it's done properly. Most importantly, John and his crew were honest, good people, and easy to work with (though at times his crew's English was an impediment - but we worked through it). Regardless, like I said, they were all good people, and very hard workers. At the end of the project (on the last day), there was actually a turn/curve in the main walkway that I thought could be done better. I wasn't happy with this one detail, but you could say it was my fault, as I hadn't previously said anything about it. True to form, and as advertised, John and his crew dug it out and fixed it/re-did it. And he was nice about it to boot. Top notch service. Highly, highly recommended.

This was a massive project and came out fantastic; way beyond my expectations! John & his crew worked hard and the detail is amazing. Completed ahead of schedule and within budget. John was great about changes and special requests. People stop at our home every day to marvel and ask about it. It was the best experience possible for such a large project. I highly recommend Talo's and will use them again!

John checked with us during the process to make sure they were doing it the way we wanted (the step/platform, paver layout, etc) We'd recommend Talo's highly and use them again any time.

Fair price, knowledgeable, and quality work. John and his team know what they are doing. They took their time to do the job right. Lots of time spent measuring and leveling and leveling and leveling. Their attention to detail shows in their work. We ended up doing a lot more work than initially planned once we saw how good the workmanship was. John and his team showed up reliably, worked hard, and delivered great results. The front and back of our property have been transformed! I would recommend without hesitation.

Most mason's wanted to use granite to reface my fireplace. John Talo came with the most beautiful real stone I have ever seen. He completed the job in five hours at a cost that was 200 dollars less than others. His work lends a European touch. I am very particular and my home is interior decorated. My fireplace turned from ugly to unique blending in with wall and carpet colors.

John Talo was prompt, professional and an expert. He fixed 3 old stone walls, built 2 new retaining walls and rebuilt a stone walkway. He is very knowledgeable and friendly. His crew worked hard and we were very happy with the results. We would definitely recommend them!
