Description of Work: I wanted to replace all of my outside security lighting with new LED lighting. The company came to the house, took an inventory of the lights |to be replaced. I never heard from them again. I used Caulkin's before and liked their work and work ethic. Based on this last experience, I will not use them again. There are other companies I will utilize.

 + -1 moreChris and Alex showed up ontime to review and quote the job and was able to work with the GC and their schedule without any issues. This was a total remodel of a small (13'x7') bathroom that was stuck in the '50s. The electrical was minimal and questionable as to whether it was installed by a professional to begin with. I feel very safe now knowing it was done correctly and to code by a licensed electrician. I would definitely hire them again and plan to for future work.
Description of Work: Rewire bathroom on it's own circuit. Bath was a total gut-out and remodel.

Description of Work: Emailed was first contact. Chris was quick to respond,stating was on vacation. First day back he call and scheduled to come out the very next day at 10am. Removed three old two tube T8 overhead lights in utility room and installed three new and better quality ones. He with his assistant completed the task in 45 minutes. Excellent work. Before he departed he also installed a new Diningroom three way switch I was having problems with due to incorrect wiring and faulty switch. Extremely professional, personal, and extremely knowledgable. Departing gifts were a refer magnet, and key chain light. We now have ago to electrician for all our future needs. would highly recommend Calkins Electric.

Charged only for the service call and about 3 dollars for the switch. I will need additional work done in the future and he offered to credit the amount of the service call when this work is done. Very prompt, qualified and pleasant to deal with. I will use him for all my electrical needs from now on.

 + -1 moreChris answered his phone to determine what I needed done. The appointment was scheduled soon after that. He called to confirm he was on his way the day of service and arrived on time with another employee named Al. They started working immediately, and worked well together. They ran the lines, and made all the necessary connections, inside and out. They were here close to 3 hrs, the job itself was neatly done, the bedroom rug was vacuumed, and the walls wiped down before they left. I thought it was a bit pricey, but when considering each man's time, probably acceptable within the industry . I will definitely call Chris again, as I have an older home which needs upgrading.
Description of Work: I had cable TV and phone jacks installed to each of 2 new wall outlets in a bedroom. This was through the walls, not the floor.

He wouldn't have had to do that and I was very impressed by his professionalism. I also know that they will come immediately in an emergency situation no matter what time it is.
