Garage Doors of Fairfield County LLC (Cadra's)

After signing up and paying for this service, I waited several weeks and finally called. The ad said I would be contacted within several days but I wasn't. It appears that I live far from their service area, so it was arranged for someone who normally doesn't do that work but lived closer to me was sent to do the work. The work got done and I was happy with it, but I would not use this company again nor advise anyone living in upper Fairfield county to since the owner doesn't seem to want to serve people who live outside of his comfort radius. Since most of the 'big deals' seem to be for the New York area, I have not taken advantage of any others since this. I'd like to see more deals that target the New Haven and Fairfield counties of CT.

Joe needed to change the original scheduled appointment, but communicated with me immediately. He replaced the old rollers, lubricated the cables and secured the bar to my garage that was very loose. It was a very quick service, and the door is working fine now.

They installed our garage doors originally. Our experience has been great. They really know what they are doing. They really solve problems and are very professional about it. They are always very pleasant to deal with.

The Deal ended up going very well. I ended up having to pay for more than the Deal covered, but the end result was worth it. They were on time, very efficient, and finished the job with skill. There was no discarded material left after he was done and cleaned up very well! I was hoping that the overall noise of the door would have been reduced after they did the tune-up, though. I would use them again in the future as well as recommend the Deal to others.

Purchased Big Deal for $99 - 1/21/14. Email sent 1/24/14 from Cadra's that I would be contacted that week to schedule appointment. As of 2/20/14 never contacted. Called Angie's list for refund.

The install went well and they did everything they said they would do, which is all I ever ask.

After closing garage door, we noticed a piece of metal broke off . We were unable to open or close the door. Being the weather was below freezing and we had to get a car out of the garage, I called several garage door repair services, they were either closed or would not fit us in same day for emergency service. This is the good part, I called Cadra's , I spoke with Paul who told me they were on a job but as soon as they were done they would come. They did exactly that, fixed the door in less than 1 hr. They were professional, knowledgeable and reliable. I would not hesitate to recommend them and would definitely use them again. They came when we needed them!!

I purchased a 'Deal' on Angie's List for a Garage Door Tune-up with Wheel Replacement. Instead of contacting me to make the appointment, this company instead sent me an email asking ME to call THEM to make an appointment. Odd, but OK, I did so. He told me because I was farther away from him than a buddy of his, he was going to instead give this job to a colleague of his who would come out the next day. So, that guy called me, but said he could not come the next day and made an appt with me for Tuesday instead. At the time of the appointment on Tuesday, he called to say he was unable to make it to that appt and re-scheduled for Thursday after next. On the following Wednesday he called the cancel the appointment for Thursday as well. At that point, I contacted Cadra's by email and advised them what was going on and asked them to please call me and see if they could just come and do the job themselves as I had originally purchased from them. That was 4 weeks ago and they still have not gotten back to me. Neither has the 'colleague' called me back to follow up and re-schedule either. Unbelievable. At that point, I contacted Angie's List to see if they could give me a refund. They suggested instead that they would like to try to find someone else to do the job instead. I was fine with that since I DO still want this job done! They were running an identical deal for $1 more with a different company so I said it would be great if they'd just put me with that deal instead. Another week goes by, nothing. I contacted Angie's List again and they said they were working on it and to give them 7-10 business days to do so. OK- I wait. Finally at 5:15pm on the 10th and final day they send me an email saying that they have processed a refund. (What happened to the other company doing the job instead?) I check my credit card, no refund. I wait a few days and the refund does finally appears on my account. Angie's List said they would also contact Cadra's regarding the refund (I'm sure they have to re-coup $$ from them first) I thought maybe THAT would prompt a phone call from them but , no - nothing. So! Here I am months later, no garage door service or anything else for all of that trouble. Not only can I not recommend this company, I cannot recommend purchasing one of the 'Deals' on Angie's List either! Talk about disappointed all the way around. :-( (and p.s. - I realize this is not the sort of job where this company would make a profit, but I would think the point is to get their name out there and make contacts, get good reviews on Angie's List and possibly get future business and not-for-nothin' this is a condo complex and I am on the Board of Directors so, not saying that it WOULD have turned into something, but it surely could have. Now, it definitely will not - just sayin'...)

Purchased the Angie's List deal and set up a date and time with John. He had a conflict on the time but was still able to make it even earlier on the day scheduled. He was quick and knowledgeable. I rated professionalism a B, but only because he was personable and not a stiff representative. I appreciated that.

John new his stuff. He's a very nice guy, and he was right on time. Job was done quick.

The job was done as discussed. The subcontractor was punctual, courteous, and professional. I had no problems with scheduling and getting the job done. The result was supposed to be that with the new rollers, the garage doors would be less noisy while operating. I did not find that to be the case and spoke to the subcontractor and the original provider. I was told that the garage door motors were old and that was the reason I was not realising the advantage of having changes the rollers. The motors are indeed old, so unfortunately even with new rollers, we're not experiencing quieter garage doors.

In addition to providing the agreed upon service the serviceman quickly diagnosed a problem I was going to ask about and made recommendation for fixing it quickly. Service was professionally done and performed faster than anticipated.

He called right away to schedule for the next day. He went above and beyond by explaining the situation with the rollers very well. I would use his services againg. I would give him an A+.

It went fine after recovering from a mistake by Angies list. He was given the billing address by Angies rather than the correct service address - despite the service address being correctly entered into the web siite. Contractor was able to come by later that day.Contractor performed as an A - Angies as a D!

The scheduling was easy; they contacted me right away and were able to schedule the service within a couple of days. The service went great. The guy who came out was very friendly and personable.
