+ -1 moreThis was either an Intentional or Unintentional BAIT & SWITCH! The price quoted was $175, but for another $25 I could sign up for an annual Maintenance Agreement. So, I chose the annual plan. After the Service Man finished, he said he did one of my two units, which was basically changing out the filter AND that to do the second unit would be double the charge! In the conversation with the original person I spoke with, we talked about 'system' maintenance; I did not expect double the charges. The Service man said if I wanted the 2nd unit serviced I needed to give him my credit card to be changed - - no choice for me at this point! I call the original person I spoke with, who sold me the Agreement and have yet to hear back from them. My bill for 2 hours was almost $600, with no freon added. The should have informed me that the agreement covered just one unit upfront! In addition, what I ended up purchasing for the added $25 was the right to receive a 10% on future parts. What a scam...

+ -1 moreAfter several issues this spring, it became clear that there was something wrong with my the furnace that Tyler had installed back in 2016. After Chris, the world's greatest tech, came by, he discovered that there was an issue with the way the unit was venting. Although he fixed the venting, Donny and the crew at Tyler weren't satisfied…so they came today to replace my entire furnace under warranty, for free. That's the thing with the staff at Tyler: they will bend over backwards to make sure that you are safe (their first priority!) and happy and that the products they sell are worry-free. And when those products break (as they inevitably do), they'll work diligently to get you back up and running. I can't thank the team at Tyler enough (hi, Cinda!), and I have no doubt that they will continue to listen respectfully, respond to my requests promptly, explain what they're doing (BIG props to Chris for letting me follow him around and ask a million stupid questions!), and put in the extra effort to have a customer for life!

+ 0 moreTyler heating and AC was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. Tom the salesman was helpful and responsive. The installation crew was punctual, clean, and took time to explain the entire system after the installation was completed. Cinda in the office was very helpful in coordinating things and less than a week after the install had all of my products registered for their warranties. And so far the new furnace and water heater work fantastically. I would not hesitate to recommend them to friends and family.

Now my home insurance and lawyers are involved with the mess they created for me. Living out in a hotel for the next 2 months due to their negligence. Not sure how they received 51 positive reviews? They totally walked out once they did the damage and told me to get in touch with my insurance. And the add insult Rick gave me a bill for $982.00 for trouble shooting a problem he created. Description of Work: Came in for a service call when I had now heat. Their tech basically by passed a safety feature built into the furnace and the furnace overheated and caught fire. I was present from get go so I know exactly what happened..was standing next to the tech. They tried to shift the blame onto my 19 year old furnace by saying it passed it useful lift which was 15 years. Called the manufacture and they said it was 30 years as oppose to 15 years. Same time saying that there may have been a recall on this unit due to heater exchange issue. NO idea if this was true. All I can say is by passing a safety feature , trouble was brewing and sure enough the unit did not shut down as the feature was disabled. Its like removing a fuse in a car or home and expected the outlet to switch of if they detect a volt surge. They told me that this was standard operating procedure which I did not believe. No way a manufactured would as a dealer service tech to remove a safety feature while the furnace is running,. That's insane except in a controlled situation, which my basement was not.

+ -1 moreWe also got a quote for oil to gas conversion that was 20% more than our other quote.
Description of Work: Our AC was working sporadically. It was a difficult problem to diagnose, since it was usually working when they were here. We had 3 different people come out for 6 visits, paid over $700 (including maintenance) and the problem never got resolved. They did replace a capacitor and thought it had fixed it. After they did service, another issue presented itself (fan on unit stayed on unless we shut off the circuit breaker). They recommended replacing the entire unit (approx $7000) and starting over since they couldn't figure out how to fix it. We hired another company for a second opinion. They showed us that the capacitor Tyler installed was a universal capacitor rather than one that fit our unit. It was placed on top of the board rather than in the capacitor slot, which caused the board to short circuit (metal on metal).

I also called with a question a year or so later and the young lady at Tyler went out of her way to be helpful. The whole crew was friendly and professional. Rates were reasonable. + -1 moreVery professional Company. From Tom the salesman, Vincent the technician, to the young women that answers the phone when you call. On June 7th Tyler installed my new furnace and central AC and almost a month later my wife and myself are very happy and not one single problem to report. Tom the salesman was great. He explained everything to me, gave me a fair quote and made me feel comfortable and was not pushy. Vincent the technician, arrived early and by 4pm he was done. I had two chances to test Tyler's customer service and both times they went above and beyond to make sure I was completely satisfied. The first time -- after I signed the contract I wanted a more up to date thermostat than the one included in the package and Tyler made the change without increasing the price. The second time -- I was not satisfy with the way the thermostat cable was hanging and Tyler sent an electrician to put the cable any way I wanted it. Needless to say that my wife and myself are completely satisfied with the job that Tyler did for us.
