Description of Work: I used a deal through Angies List for plumbing services at a discount. I had to have one of the bathroom sink feeder pipes fixed due to a slow leak. It took a long time to finally get on the calendar, but once I did, they came in and did the repair work. They were clean and ensured everything was done to my satisfactions. I would recommend their service.

Description of Work: Changed a completely brand new pip line from the bathtub. I had called 3 other plumbers prior, but no one seemed to want to tackle the problem. Michel was not only very professional, but also very nit( cleaned the mess perfectly) and very friendly.

Description of Work: My experience with this company was very good . It was the first time I used them and I found them through Angie's list . They were very polite on the phone , the service man was panctual , very professional and thoughtfull and he fixed the problem very quickly . Description of Work: We had a hot water heater that we looked at after the hurricane and found that it was almost entirely rusted through, and was leaking. We had used them years and years ago and I remembered their name. I called Schede and they had 2 guys to me that afternoon to inspect and order a replacement, and then they spent the whole next day putting it in. I had expected a wait die to all the local contractors busy with post storm cleanup (which is major down here!) so i was impressed with their response and the receptionist on the phone was very knowledgeable. What they also discovered was that it wasn't just an old one but that an upstairs toilet had been put in incorrectly when the house was built and had been leaking on the unit for 8 years, causing the rust out in the first place and they fixed it perfectly. They also fixed all our toilets that were "running" constantly. The two guys, Kelvin and Mike were thorough, clean, responsible, polite and I would hire them again in a nanosecond and recommend them to anyone looking for a great plumber. We have called for an estimate on replacing some vents and insulation caused by flooding and are awaiting that. The price did seem high although quite frankly, i did not get other estimates and they came as soon as I called and fixed it perfectly and uncovered the background problem . Plus maybe it is just high since we haven't had that type of repair done before (all copper piping etc which I know is pricey).

Description of Work: Called to have them replace tub spout and look at possible leak. I requested that it be in the morning as we won't be home in the afternoon. He said ok and that they would call half an hour before their arrival. Click. Well I waited all morning and now it is after noon so I just called to find out why they didn't call or come and he said we were on the schedule, but of course he couldn't remember what for. I called them first because of reviews here but it was just a WASTE OF TIME so I just wanted to share my experience with other users. We have only been in the house a few months and I have been dealing with plenty of service people and, by far, this is the laziest response yet!

 + -1 moreWe hired Schede to replace our old boiler that was spewing soot. He was very nice and his team prompt. They completed the job in 1 day. However, there was a strong oil/gasoline smell afterward. I contacted Schede at least 3 times by phone and was told by his wife that "it's normal". It was a very strong odor and didn't seem normal. After over a week of phone calls he finally came out and sprinkled some white absorbent powder on basement floor. Still didn't stop the smell, so I called my heat company. They came out and found a significant oil leak! (in a newly installed system!) My family (and asthmatic son) had been breathing pure oil for over a week! They fixed the boiler that was improperly installed. Schede refused to accept responsibility in several phone calls my husband has with him. Implied that I was "making up" the smell and it "wasn't that bad". In the end, after almost a month and several more phone calls and a letter, Schede did pay our heat company's bill for the repairs. I do not recommend his company at all.

 + 0 moreThe water goes to the carpet so I called them early this morning and within a minute, after leaving a message with an answering service, they got back to me. An hour later someone actually came out and cleaned it up and rectified the problem. They are very punctual and professional. They did a nice job, however I thought they were very overpriced. They have installed a water heater in the past. I looked them up on Angie's List to see if they were on the list. He had an assistant with him.
Description of Work: Schede Plumbing & Heating repaired my water heater after it was backed up from being over worked. He blew out a trap and he taped down the joints of the unit.

 + -1 moreWhen they came out to install the kitchen sink they charged me over five hundred dollars just for labor, because I supplied the sink and the faucets. I thought that since they had to send out two people I should not have to be charged for both, because it only takes one person to do the job. My only complaint with them was that they were too expensive. The men who came out were very young, maybe in their early twenties. They did a very good job, but I did not think that it was worth the cost. I paid the bill, because it was my mistake not asking for an estimate. I called them back again, because I did not know of any other companies and I needed the toilet installed quickly. The work was excellent. The gentleman came out on time, however I certainly paid the price. I had to call them back a couple of times before I could get them to come back out, however once I got them to set a date they came out on time. The young men who came out had an okay level of professionalism, however the work seemed to take a long time. I think that they might have been new plumbers. They were nice and professional to work with, however in the end I found them to be too expensive for me to continue using them in the future.
Description of Work: Schede Plumbing & Heating came out to install a new toilet and kitchen sink in my home.
