Description of Work: they installed 5 double hung replacement windows and i kitchen casement window. |2 storm doors. It went in less than 3 days. When there was a alight adjustment |made for 1 storm door, they came immediately and made the adjustment.

Description of Work: As part of a larger roof redo, they replaced multiple skylights and installed picture windows and a larger slider in a sunroon. All went well. Only complaint was on follow-up...They were supposed to replace some existing window mechanisms and lost the list of repairs and did not really follow-up to see if we still wanted the work. They returned this morning and made a new list and seem to be on top of the job now.

Description of Work: We replaced the front door with a top of the line door and added a superb screen door as well. They are both ProVia products distributed by Andersen. We also replaced 2 large round-top picture windows to a similar style that would allow us to open the windows. We also replaced 2 of our double hungs in the front of the house. We intend to use Andersen in Stamford to continue all work on windows in our house. We are satisfied with the quality and the work. |Caution: the sales pitch is on the long side. They wanted both homeowners (wife/husband) at the pitch. The prices are not very competitive but the quality is worth it.

Description of Work: Replaced 6 windows in a 100+ year old house. From sales to measuring to installation the job was seamless. Installation employees were professional and cleaned as they worked. Will use them again!

Description of Work: Installed a skylight. |In addition, installed 7 sliding doors and 17 windows in Jan. 2010 ($50,519). The quality of their product as well as their "workman" is outstanding. Extremely professional, tidy, and friendly.

Description of Work: Replaced 9 windows, including a large bay window. The job went extremely well and was perfectly organized and carried out with a minimum of mess or disruption. Would definitely recommend this company for replacement windows. |

Description of Work: I contacted Renewal by Anderson because I was under the impression that they were a division of Anderson that could do more customized work. I was very specific about wanting "stone to stone" installation of casement windows. The salesman who came was abysmal. Sexist (he was angry that my husband was not present!) and high-pressure and obviously not informed about what the company does. The next visit was by someone to measure - again I explained what I wanted. When the installer to do the four windows came, they turned out to be inserts in frames, which reduced the amount of glass from what I had already. I balked and refused to accept them. To the company's credit, they agreed to redo the order for one window done the way I wanted, and we cancelled the rest. The job was done professionally (with exception of trim that was not exactly like my existing trim). Renewals are expensive, and do not offer all of the same options as Andersons, so beware of trying to match your windows. I am not sure what the appeal of this company's product is, given the high price.
